A unique method that can keep smokers away from cigarettes has been discovered. According to the findings, inhaling a pleasant odour could be enough to reduce the urge to smoke, at least temporarily, and could be used as a part of a smoking cessation plan. The research was published in the Journal of Abnormal Psychology. While smoking rates are declining, the rate of relapses still remain high. The study aims to disrupt smoking routines and use novel methods to reduce cravings.
