President Kovind felicitates National Teachers Award winners virtually

The National Teachers Award 2020 have been awarded virtually this year by President Ram Nath Kovind due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The president felicitated 47 teachers from across the country including Ladakh, West Bengal, Puducherry, Ahmedabad among others via a video conference ceremony.

President Kovind also said good buildings or expensive facilities do not make a school, it is the dedication and perseverance of teachers that make a great school. Adding that teachers are the 'true nation-builders who help lay the foundation for our children to become responsible citizens.'
