Xiaomi’s budget smartphone, Redmi 9, has gone on sale in India at a starting price of ₹8,999 for the base 4GB+64GB model via Amazon and Mi.com. It features a 6.53-inch HD+ IPS display and an octa-core MediaTek Helio G35 SoC, paired with 4GB of RAM and up to 128GB storage. There’s a 13MP dual rear camera setup, a 5MP selfie camera and a 5,000 mAh battery. The Redmi 9 runs on MIUI 12-based Android 10 and is available in three colours: Sporty Orange, Sky Blue and Carbon Black.
