Chinese telecom giant Huawei has overtaken Apple to become the world’s second best selling smartphone brand in 2019, according to a report from Counterpoint Research. The company reportedly shipped around 240 million handsets--around 40 million more phones than Apple--and close to world leader Samsung, selling just shy of 300 million devices. Within Q4 2019, however, the Cupertino-based company gained the top spot after two years, thanks to high iPhone 11 sales.
