      Taj Mahal, Agra Fort reopen for visitors after 6 months

      After 6 months of being closed due to the Covid-19 outbreak, the iconic Taj Mahal and Agra Fort have reopened for visitors with new rules and regulations in place.

      There will be a cap on the number of tourists allowed per day. 5,000 people will be allowed at the Taj and 2,500 at the Agra Fort.

      Maintaining social distancing will be mandatory, even while posing for a photograph. Stickers for social distancing and thermal scanners have been put in place.

      Ticket counters will no longer be open and tickets will have to be purchased online. Wearing a mask inside the premises will be mandatory.

      Transactions will have to be cashless and only guides with licences will be allowed inside the premises. While Agra Fort will remain closed on Sundays, the Taj Mahal will be closed on Fridays and Sundays.
