Tokyo Olympics 2020: Mourad Aliev lodges sit-in protest after disqualification

French boxer Mourad Aliev sat in for an hour-long protest on the ringside after his disqualification in the super heavyweight quarterfinal bout against Britain's Frazer Clarke on Sunday at the Tokyo Olympics.

Aliev who was protesting against the judges' decision was disqualified after his opponent suffered cuts on his face because of the aggressive string of head clashes. To express his contempt, the 26-year-old pugilist flew kicks in the air, spat out his mouthguard and made offensive hand gestures. He did not leave the ring for over 20 mins after the fight.

He later, said that since it was an unfair decision his behaviour was natural.
