WhatsApp will soon let you text yourself

WhatsApp will soon be bringing the ability to message yourself on the app which will be quite handy for quick notes.

WhatsApp will soon let you text yourself

WhatsApp is reportedly developing a feature that would allow users to send themselves messages. The present configuration of the app prevents users from sending texts to their own accounts.

This feature is already available on WhatsApp's rival Telegram.

WhatsApp is presently testing the functionality on the PC beta version, but according to the source, it will also be included in the Android and iOS beta versions.

When searching for contacts through WhatsApp Desktop beta, you will be able to send yourself messages by clicking on your personal chat window in the future.

On the other hand, users will be able to see their names at the top of the contact list on WhatsApp mobile.

Since WhatsApp is the most used messaging app in India, the option to send a message to yourself will come in quite handy when you want to take quick notes or want to save important documents and images for quick access.
