With a consistent low fertility rate, China's population is predicted to see negative growth before 2025. According to China's Population Head Yang Wenzhuang, Chinese population growth has declined significantly and is expected to enter a negative growth during the current 14th Five-Year Plan period (2021-25)

As per the birth data for 2021, the number of new births last year was the lowest in decades in several provinces. Chinese demographers have also predicted negative population growth to be a dominant trend in the coming time.&nbsp;

China's population is predicted to see negative growth by 2025 due to a consistent low fertility rate . According to China's Population Head Yang Wenzhuang, Chinese population growth has declined significantly and is expected to enter a negative growth during the current 14th Five-Year Plan period (2021-25). He added that China's birth rate will continue to shrink for more than a century.
As per the birth data for 2021, the number of new births last year was the lowest in decades in several provinces. Chinese demographers have also predicted negative population growth to be a dominant trend in the coming time.&nbsp;
Amid decrease in child births due to its draconian one-child policy, China in 2016 permitted couple to have two children. The policy failed to see an upsurge. In another policy shift last year, China allowed couples to have three children.
China, at present is the most populous country in the world, followed by India. The latter is expected to surpass China as the world's most populous nations by 2023.

The report also noted that automation coupled with the pandemic&nbsp;is creating a 'double-disruption' scenario for workers.

Unmatched Speed for U.S. Air Force One

The U.S. Air Force&rsquo;s Presidential and Executive Airlift Directorate is planning on executive sonic transports to be used as Air Force One. &nbsp;The current Air Force One, VC-25A is a modified version of a Boeing 747-200B. The Boeing 747-8i (VC-25B) is set to replace the VC-25 A, which is under development. Boom Supersonic, Exosonic and Hermeus have been handed separate contracts by the Directorate for development of supersonic aircraft. &ldquo;Transporting key decision makers and teams around the world in half the time can be the difference between success and failure,&rdquo; said Brigadier General Ryan Britton, Program Executive Officer for Presidential &amp; Executive Airlift Directorate. The last commercial supersonic flight took place on October 24, 2003. Overture by Boom Supersonic offers the USAF passenger capacity, speed, and space for necessary mission systems. Overture's maiden flight is planned in 2025. Exosonic is developing a low boom aircraft by utilising boom softening techniques while Hermeus has proposed to build a Mach 5 hypersonic aircraft. In February 2020, Hermeus successfully tested a Mach 5 engine prototype.
