Shiv Sena Uddhav Thackeray faction has claimed that Maharashtra CM, Eknath Shinde has been asked to quit amid the ongoing power tussle within NCP.&nbsp;
Speaking to reporters on Saturday, Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Aaditya Thackeray said, "I have heard that CM (Eknath Shinde) has been asked to resign and there might be some change (in the govt)".
Pertinently, Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde had on Friday said Ajit Pawar's entry into the Shiv Sena-BJP government in the state posed no threat to him.
Dismissing speculation that he was about to be replaced as chief minister, Shinde said these were baseless rumours which cause him no "tension", and the "higher ups" will take appropriate decision.

Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Aaditya Thackeray's car was pelted with stones during the Shiv Sanvaad Yatra, Shiv Sena leader Ambadas Danve said on Wednesday. The alleged incident occurred on Tuesday when Thackeray's program and Ramabai Ambedkar's procession took place simultaneously.
Aaditya Thackeray was carrying out the Shiv Sanvaad Yatra in Mahalgaon in Vaijapur, and at the same time, the procession on Ramabai Ambedkar's birth anniversary also started.
Leader of Opposition in Maharashtra Legislative Council, Ambadas Danve alleged that the stones were pelted by "anti-social" elements to create a rift between those carrying out the procession and the Shiv Sena convoy.
Meanwhile, Danve has written a letter to the Maharashtra DGP to take serious note of "negligence" in security during a public meeting.&nbsp;

Bharat Jodo Yatra: Sharad Pawar to skip, Aaditya Thackeray to join

Senior Congress leader Jairam Ramesh said 81-year-old Pawar had earlier agreed to participate in the foot march.

Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) president Sharad Pawar will not join the Congress's Bharat Jodo Yatra due to health issues, senior Congress leader Jairam Ramesh said on Thursday.
Addressing media persons here, Ramesh said Pawar (81) had earlier agreed to participate in the foot march.
''He was recently hospitalised and considering doctor's advice for rest, he will not join (the yatra),'' said Ramesh, the general secretary (communications) of the All India Congress Committee.
Pawar's daughter and NCP Lok Sabha member Supriya Sule, state party president Jayant Patil and NCP leader Jitendra Awhad reached Maharashtra's Nanded district on Thursday to join Congress leader Rahul Gandhi in the foot march from Deglur Naka and to attend the latter's public rally in the evening.
AICC president Mallikarjun Kharge will also attend the rally.
Ramesh said Rahul Gandhi had spoken to Pawar when he was in hospital.
''Even though Pawar had agreed to join the yatra, he is unable to come due to doctor's advice for rest," the Congress leader said.

Shiv Sena leader and former state minister Aaditya Thackeray will join the yatra on Friday, he said.

Shiv Sena leader Aaditya Thackeray on Friday took a dig at the Eknath Shinde-led Maharashtra government over Vedanta-Foxconn choosing Gujarat over Maharashtra to set up its semiconductor plant, saying that "one engine of the double-engine government has failed".
Addressing party workers in Ratnagiri as part of the 'Shiv Samvad Yatra', the home district of rebel Sena MLA and state Industries Minister Uday Samant, Thackeray said the CM as well as the minister were clueless about the details of the project.
"How did the project go out of Maharashtra when we had done so much follow-up with Vedanta? The chief minister and the industries minister were clueless about this," Thackeray said in the rally.
In any other state, the chief minister would have asked for the industries minister's resignation, he said.
He said the state government was also unaware that a bulk drug park also slipped out of the hands of the state and is coming up in Andhra Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh and Gujarat.
"How did one engine of the double-engine government fail?" he asked.
Double engine government is the term the BJP uses for its government at the Centre and another in the state which it claims can help in seamless development.
He said the state government was also unaware of another project by Airbus, which could come up in Nagpur. It was only after he raised the issue that the state government woke up and said they will ensure that it comes up in the state.
Thackeray also trained his guns at the rebel MLAs led by Shinde and said they "back-stabbed" his father and the then chief minister Uddhav Thackeray when he was ailing.
A political blame game started after Vedanta-Foxconn signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Gujarat government on Tuesday to set up a semiconductor and display manufacturing unit in the state. As per the MoU, the joint venture of the Indian conglomerate Vedanta and Taiwanese electronics manufacturing giant Foxconn will set up a semiconductor and display manufacturing unit in the state.
Vedanta-Foxconn would invest Rs 1,54,000 crore to set up the facility, which is expected to create one lakh job opportunities.

Following the Eknath Shinde-led Maharashtra government's move to overturn Maha Vikas Aghadi's Aarey metro car shed decision, activists and environment lovers voiced their discontentment.  Aarey, nestled in Mumbai's suburbs is a vast green cover that was deemed a protected forest by the MVA government. 
Thackeray cousins Amit and Aaditya, sons of Raj and Uddhav also took to social media to express their displeasure and worry over the Shinde government's move. 
Calling it a shocking move, Amit Thackeray wrote, 'The new decision by the new government is shocking for me and innumerable environment activists and lovers. The youth of the state had earlier struggled hard against the move. Some were even put in jail.' 
He urged the new government to reconsider its move stating that though development is necessary it should not be done at the cost of the environment. 
Amit's cousin Aaditya, who was at the forefront of Aarey protests in 2019 and also a former Environment Minister of Maharashtra wrote on Twitter, 'I humbly urge new government to reconsider its decision. Don’t cast the hate for us, on to our beloved Mumbai.'
The Shiv Sena scion further said that he will not be able to attend protests organised at Aarey on July 03 as he is due to attend the special Assembly session which saw BJP MLA Rahul Narvekar elected as the new Speaker of Maharashtra Legislative Assembly.
'Consider the proposal of having Metro-3 carshed at Kanjurmarg. I am requesting with folded hands, don’t insist on making the carshed at Aarey,' Aaditya added.
This comes after Aaditya's father Uddhav Thackeray said that he was upset with the Shinde government's move and he too asked them to not take out their anger for him on the people of Mumbai. 
Activists, environmental lovers and concerned citizens of Mumbai took to the streets in Aarey to protest against the new government's move, urging it to reconsider its decision. 
The Maha Vikas Aghadi government had shifted the car shed project to Kanjur Marg soon after assuming power however the decision has been reversed. 
Chief Minister Shinde has asked the State Urban Development Department to place before the Cabinet a proposal for a car shed at Aarey.

The Shiv Sena leader took to Twitter to share that he along with industries minister Subhash Desai held a video call with Tesla executives to invite them. Stressing he believes electric mobility, supported by renewable energy is the way ahead, Thackeray further said that Maharashtra government is &lsquo;firmly committed to policy building and changes for sustainable development.&rsquo; Earlier this month, Elon Musk had indicated that the company could make a foray into India in 2021.

Pawar served I-T notice, says Centre 'loves us'

Talking to reporters here, Pawar said the Income Tax department has sought his "clarification and explanation" on some poll affidavits furnished by him.
"I got the notice yesterday...We are happy that they (the Centre) love us from among all the members...The notice was served by Income Tax after the Election Commission asked (it) to...We will reply to the notice," he said.
He was responding to a query on reports that his daughter and Lok Sabha member Supriya Sule, Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray and Environment Minister Aaditya Thackeray had received similar notices from the Income Tax department.

Mumbai, PTI: The Maharashtra government on Wednesday decided to reserve 600-acre Aarey land near the Sanjay Gandhi National Park (SGNP) in suburban Mumbai as a forest and conserve the same.
The decision was taken during a meeting chaired by Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray, who said, the forest would be the first example of a "huge jungle" being conserved at the centre of a megapolis, an official statement said.
Environment Minister Aaditya Thackeray, Forest Minister Sanjay Rathod, Urban Development Minister Eknath Shinde, Chief Secretary Sanjay Kumar and others were present for the meeting, the statement said.
The chief minister instructed during the meeting to safeguard the rights of adivasis (tribals) while the area is reserved as forest.
The area to be excluded from the forest will be ascertained after seeking suggestions and objections from citizens, the statement said.
Constructions of all types, roads, slums, adivasi pockets and government facilities will be excluded from the first phase of the initiative, the statement said.
The slums within the area will be rehabilitated immediately, the statement said.
In a series of tweets after the meeting, Aaditya Thackeray said, Approx 600 acres of open land being declared as forest while all rights of Adivasi communities will stand protected.
"Rehabilitation of slums within the area would be expedited. This would be phase 1 for which the Forest Dept will move a proposal.
Phase 2 survey for additional open/forest land in Aarey, post Phase 1 will begin soon.
"This would help the State protect the flora &amp; fauna existent in SGNP and Aarey, Aaditya Thackeray added.
The forested Aarey Colony in suburban Goregaon is a prominent green lung of Mumbai.
