Adding to his exciting upcoming projects, Ali Fazal has now secured the lead role in the series 'Rakht Brahmand,' where he stars opposite Samantha Ruth Prabhu. The series is directed by Rahi Anil Barve, and the visionary duo Raj &amp; DK, who are known for their exceptional work in shows like 'The Family Man' and 'Guns &amp; Gulaabs'.
According to sources close to the production, Ali was drawn to the project by its innovative storytelling and the directors' unique vision. He is set to commence filming in Mumbai next week. Despite his busy schedule, Ali is all geared up to juggle this commitment with other ongoing projects.
'The project is a marvellous vision of Raj &amp; DK, it's definitely a step forward in its genre of fantasy drama. The cast has finally all been locked and the shoot it set to start next week. Ali will be shooting for the series through August while also completing small schedules of his other projects. The show can to him and the vision of the show was enough to get Ali excited to be part of the series. It's a really interesting part, something he has never done before both from character perspective and also genre wise,' a source close to the project revealed.&nbsp;

Ali Fazal is also part of Anurag Basu&rsquo;s eagerly anticipated film 'Metro&hellip;In Dino,' alongside a star-studded cast including Sara Ali Khan, Aditya Roy Kapur, and Pankaj Tripathi. Scheduled for release on November 29, 2024, the film promises to be a significant cinematic event.
Ali is also involved in 'Lahore 1947,' a project backed by Aamir Khan and directed by Rajkumar Santoshi. It features talents like Preity Zinta and Sunny Deol. Additionally, he is set to star in Mani Ratnam&rsquo;s 'Thug Life,' a South Indian period-action film.

In a recent interview, Ali and Richa shared their aspirations for their daughter's future. Ali articulated his hope for her to inherit compassion for nature, saying, 'I have seen things that I don't wish upon anyone. I have also seen some things that I feel have gone missing in the new genration and need to be reinstated. Our value system need to be carried forward. I want my child to have some level of compassion. I want a future where we have trees and clean air.'
Richa added 'I don't think any of ourkids will have a better life than we did. The rate at which we are destroying the environment, its not going to b fun for anyone. However, I have a lot of faith in Gen Z, Alpha, and their ability to dissect things like gender and climate activism. They inspire me. We are living through an event of mass extinction, deforestation, heat wave warnings, all over the world the tide is tilting towards authoritarianism. There's war and violence. I am hopeful for a better future but it's stupid to think that we don't have to work to do.

The regular cast members of the franchise were seen on posters sans Ali Fazal. Fans were curious to know if he was returning to the franchise, or not.

Actor Ali Fazal has signed yet another Hollywood project. He will be playing one of the leads in Oscar-winning director Bill Guttentag's film, &lsquo;Afghan Dreamers&rsquo;. The film, which recently went on the floors, will be shot across Budapest and Morocco.
&lsquo;Afghan Dreamers&rsquo; will be based on the inspiring story of all-girls robotics team from Afghanistan. It was founded by an Afghan tech entrepreneur, Roya Mahboob. The team of Afghan girls travelled across the world and participated in competitions. They garnered worldwide recognition and even met leading politicians.
The role of Roya Mahboob will reportedly be played by Nikohl Boosheri. Ali Fazal has expressed his excitement over signing the next Hollywood film. &lsquo;Excited and humbled to be sharing notes and being directed by Bill, who has an impeccable body of work. Afghan Dreamers is a very important story to be told and I&rsquo;m happy to be part of its cinematic retelling,&rsquo; India Today quoted him as saying.
Bill Guttentag has won an Oscar for his two short films &ndash; &lsquo;You Don&rsquo;t Have to Die&rsquo; and &lsquo;Twin Towers&rsquo;.
On the work front, Ali Fazal will next be seen in Vishal Bhardwaj's &lsquo;Khufiya&rsquo; alongside Tabu. It will stream on Netflix later this year. Ali will also be seen in the Hollywood film &lsquo;Kandahar&rsquo; with Gerard Butler. The Ric Roman Waugh-directorial is slated for release in 2023.

Actors Richa Chadha and Ali Fazal married 2.5 years ago, but didn&rsquo;t get a chance to celebrate their union with industry friends due to the COVID-19 pandemic. However, the couple organised a grand reception for them in Mumbai on October 4. It was a star-studded affair with Hrithik Roshan-Saba Azad, Vicky Kaushal, Tabu, Taapsee Pannu and many others in attendance.
On Tuesday (October 31), Ali took to social media and gave us a sneak peek into the lavish reception. He shared a video which features numerous pictures from the event. In the video, we can see the couple having a fun time with their friends as the song &lsquo;Khalbali&rsquo; from the movie Rang De Basanti plays in the background.
Attached with the video is a long note in which the actor has thanked everyone for making their day special.

The couple had met on the sets of &lsquo;Fukrey&rsquo; in 2012. Ali proposed to Richa in 2019 after seven years of dating.
They made their first appearance as a married couple at Ayushmann Khurrana&rsquo;s pre-Diwali bash in Mumbai on October 16.
