Major reshuffle in Congress, Sonia Gandhi revamps CWC

Congress President Sonia Gandhi on Friday reconstituted the Congress Working Committee and the Central Election Authority of the party.
In a major reshuffle, Ghulam Nabi Azad, Ambika Soni, Motilal Vohra and Mallikarjun Kharge were dropped from the list of general secretaries.
Jitin Prasada has been made in-charge of the party in poll-bound West Bengal. Madhusudan Mistry, Rajesh Mishra, Krishna Byre Gowda, S Jothimani and Avinder Singh Lovely have been appointed members of the Central Election Authority.
Congress leaders Randeep Surjewala, Jitendra Singh and Ajay Maken have been appointed as new general secretaries for Karnataka, Assam and Rajasthan.
