Posting a rare black-and-white picture on his blog, Amitabh offered a glimpse into the hospital scene where he stood near an infant incubator, surrounded by nurses, gazing affectionately at his newborn son.

Packed with a star studded cast including rebel star Prabhas, Deepika Padukone and Kamal Hassan, Kalki 2898 released on June 27. The film has grossed over Rs 1,100 crore within a month and is still going strong.&nbsp;
&lsquo;Kalki 2898 AD&rsquo; blends sci-fi with mythological themes. Prabhas portrays Bhairava, a bounty hunter from Kashi, while Deepika plays SUM-80, a pregnant test subject. In 2022, an American businessman named Gopi Seth installed the statue of Bachchan Sr. outside his residence in New York. Within 2 years, the statue has become a major centre of attraction for the tourists. Thanks to all the attention, now the life-size statue has been listed as a tourist attraction on Google Maps. The video posted by the businessman is going viral on social media.&nbsp;
Gopi Seth installed Bachchan's life-size statue in August 2022 outside his residence in Edison city, about 35 kilometres south of Manhattan in New York. &ldquo;Our home has become one of the most popular tourist attractions, thanks to the Amitabh Bachchan statue. Recognised by Google Search, this site attracts a growing number of visitors each day,&rdquo; Seth told PTI.

Megastar Amitabh Bachchan surprised fans by attending a promotional event for &lsquo;Kalki 2898 AD&rsquo; in Mumbai on June 19. The veteran actor has been avoiding media interactions and promotional events for years. However, he made an exception for Nag Ashwin's directorial and joined Deepika Padukone, Kamal Haasan, and Prabhas at the special event. Hours after the event, Big B revealed the real reason for his attendance.
In his blog, Amitabh explained that he participated in the &lsquo;Kalki 2898 AD&rsquo; promotional event because of the producers, Vyjayanthi Movies. He wrote, &lsquo;I usually shy away from promotional work, but for the sake of the most humble production team, particularly one run by the daughters of the head, it is a justification beyond personal choices.&rsquo;
&lsquo;To be a part of a vision of the maker and director, of some extraordinary thought was a delight that I had not imagined or was even close to,&rsquo; he added.
Big B also shared a few pictures from the special night.
Amitabh touched producer Aswani Dutt&rsquo;s feet at the event and called him &lsquo;the most simple and humble human being&rsquo; he&rsquo;s ever met.
&lsquo;Every time you are on set, he is the first person to be there. He is at the airport to receive you. Jab kabhi bhi hum koi aisa kaam kar rahe ho jo inko lage nahi karna chahiye kyuki takleef hogi, he&rsquo;ll be like, &lsquo;don&rsquo;t make them do these stunts or have you taken precautions or not?&rsquo; Nobody thinks like this. The story begins in Kaashi, a resource-rich land ruled by Saswata Chatterjee&rsquo;s character, who demands complete loyalty. A prophecy reveals that a child carried by Deepika Padukone&rsquo;s character will overthrow him. To protect his reign, the king places a bounty on her head.

Starring late actor Smita Patil, 'Manthan' is the only Indian film to be selected under the Cannes Classic section of the festival this year. The news was shared by veteran actor Amitabh Bachchan on X, where he praised the Film Heritage Foundation (FHF) for their continuous efforts to preserve the legacy of Indian cinema.&nbsp;

The Film Heritage Foundation has joined hands with Gujarat Milk Marketing Federation Ltd. to screen the restored version of 'Manthan' at the upcoming edition of the Cannes Film Festival. According to the Cannes Film Festival website, &ldquo;Manthan&rdquo; will be screened under &lsquo;Cannes Classics&rsquo;, a section created 20 years ago that features celebrations, restored prints, and documentaries.
Presenting at the prestigious film festival for the third year in a row, FHF has previously premiered &lsquo;Thamp̄&rsquo; (2022) and &lsquo;Ishanou&rsquo; (2023) at the global event.&nbsp;

'Manthan', a fictionalised version of the beginnings of the extraordinary dairy cooperative movement that transformed India from a milk-deficient nation to the world's largest milk producer, was inspired by Dr. Verghese Kurien, the father of the White Revolution. It is also India's first crowd-sourced film, with 5,00,000 dairy farmers contributing INR 2/- each to its production. Along with Smita Patil, the film also starred Naseeruddin Shah.

Bachchan received the recognition on April 24, the Memorial Day of Deenanath Mangeshkar, the theatre-music veteran and father of the Mangeshkar siblings. The 81-year-old star, whose career spans over five decades in films, said he was blessed to receive the award. &lsquo;I'm fortunate to receive this award today. I never really regarded myself worthy of such an award, but Hridyanath ji tried hard so that I could come here. He even invited me for this ceremony last year,&rsquo; he said. &lsquo;Hridaynath ji, I apologise to you for last time. I had then told you I was unwell. I was healthy but didn't want to come here. This year I had no excuse, so I had to come here,&rsquo; Bachchan said in his award acceptance speech. The actor said his father and celebrated Hindi poet Harivansh used to liken Lata Mangeshkar's voice to &lsquo;shehad ki dhaar&rsquo; . &lsquo;The sweetness in her voice was honey and as the flow of honey never breaks, her 'swar' never breaks. Whenever someone hits the right chord, our soul meets with 'parmatma' . And Lata Mangeshkar ji's 'swar' joins us with God,&rsquo; Bachchan said. Singer Usha Mangeshkar, the third eldest Mangeshkar sibling, presented the award to Bachchan. Veteran singer Asha Bhosle, the second Mangeshkar sibling, was initially scheduled to present the trophies but was absent due to illness. The award was established by the family and trust in memory of Lata Mangeshkar, the eldest of the five Mangeshkar siblings, who passed away in 2022. During the event, music maestro A R Rahman was honored with the Master Deenanath Mangeshkar Puraskar for his contributions to Indian music. Rahman, a multiple award-winning musician known for his collaborations with Lata Mangeshkar and Asha Bhosle over the decades, mentioned his longstanding connection with the Mangeshkar family. Marathi writer Manjiri Phadke was awarded the Master Deenanath Mangeshkar Puraskar for her contribution to literature. Actor Randeep Hooda was honoured with the Vishesh Puraskar for best film production and acting. Actor Ashok Saraf was acknowledged for his contributions to cinema and drama, while actor Padmini Kolhapure received the Master Deenanath Mangeshkar Puraskar for her work in cinema. Among the recipients were singer Roopkumar Rathod for his contributions to music, Bhau Torsekar for editorial services, and Atul Parchure for his contributions to theatre and drama. About the award Lata Deenanath Mangeshkar Award, also known as the Lata Deenanath Mangeshkar Puraskar, is presented annually to an individual who has made a significant contribution to the nation, its people, and society. Prime Minister Narendra Modi was the first recipient, followed by Asha Bhosle in 2023. The event was led by music composer Hridaynath Mangeshkar, the youngest of the Mangeshkar siblings.

On April 23 night, Big B took to his blog and shared photos from &lsquo;KBC 16&rsquo; set along with details of his first day. The superstar revealed he had a busy day and did not get his traditional break. He shared that he ended up having lunch in his car.
The actor initially posted a picture of himself in casual attire before changing into a formal black suit. Upon arriving at the set, he greeted fans with folded hands.&nbsp;

 The Mangeshkar family made the announcement on Tuesday that the prestigious Lata Deenanath Mangeshkar Award would be conferred upon Amitabh Bachchan. Big B will receive the award on April 24.

About Mumbai&rsquo;s Coastal Road
Last month, Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde inaugurated the first phase of the coastal road between Worli and Marine Drive in south Mumbai, hailing it as an &lsquo;engineering marvel.&rsquo; The 10.5-kilometer-long stretch opened for traffic allows motorists to enter from Worli Seaface, Haji Ali interchange, and Amarson's interchange points, and exit at Marine Lines.
The second phase is set to open for traffic in May, connecting the 53 km-long coastal road to the Bandra-Worli Sea Link and extending it up to Dahisar. The coastal road has been named after Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, son of Maratha warrior king Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, and was inaugurated on his death anniversary. Amitabh expressed the significance of the divine spirit on this special day and shared his experience after returning to Mumbai from Ayodhya. &nbsp;
He wrote, &lsquo;A day filled with the relevance of divine spirit... back from the Pran Pratishtha ceremony at Ayodhya.&rsquo;
He added, &lsquo;The glory the celebration and the belief of faith... immersed in the reckoning of the temple at Shri Ram&rsquo;s birth... not much can be said beyond this... for faith does not possess description...Can you?&rsquo;
He concluded the post by writing &lsquo;Jai Shri Ram&rsquo; and &lsquo;Bol Siya Pati Ramchandra ki jaay (red flag emoji)&rsquo;.

Confirming the development, Shanti Bhushan Choubey, the registrar of Ayodhya Registrar told ANI earlier, &lsquo;As part of the same agreement, two documents have been presented...it is a 10,000 square feet plot for which a transaction of ₹9 crore has been done. The second party, who happens to be Amitabh Bachchan, gave his agreement to the purchase while his attorney, Rajesh Yadav, executed it.&rsquo;

Legendary Bollywood actor Amitabh Bachchan has acquired a piece of land within The Sarayu, an exclusive 7-star mixed-use development located in Ayodhya, developed by Mumbai-based company The House of Abhinandan Lodha (HoABL). While HoABL declined to disclose specific details regarding the size and cost of the transaction, insiders from the real estate sector suggest that the plot, where Bachchan plans to construct his residence, spans approximately 10,000 square feet and holds an estimated value of ₹14.5 crore.
Scheduled for an official launch on January 22, coinciding with Prime Minister Narendra Modi's inauguration of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Temple in Ayodhya, The Sarayu spans across 51 acres. Regarding his investment in this venture, Amitabh Bachchan said, &lsquo;I am eagerly anticipating commencing this venture alongside The House of Abhinandan Lodha for The Sarayu in Ayodhya, a city that holds a special place in my heart. Ayodhya's timeless spirituality and cultural richness have fostered an emotional connection that transcends physical boundaries. Amitabh Bachchan&rsquo;s birthplace Allahabad (now Prayagraj) is a four-hour drive from Ayodhya through National Highway 330.
Describing it as a significant achievement for his company, Abhinandan Lodha, Chairman of HoABL, expressed his excitement at having Amitabh Bachchan join as the inaugural resident of The Sarayu. The Sarayu is situated approximately 15 minutes away from the Ram Temple and about 30 minutes from the Ayodhya International Airport.
&lsquo;His investment in our Ayodhya project reflects confidence in the city&rsquo;s economic potential and deep appreciation for its spiritual heritage,&rsquo; he said, adding that Bachchan&rsquo;s association would turn the project into &lsquo;a symbol of Ayodhya&rsquo;s global spiritual significance&rsquo;.
Amitabh Bachchan's investment is focused on the development of plots within the enclave, which is set to include a five-star palace hotel in partnership with Leela Palaces, Hotels and Resorts, owned by the Brookfield Group. The entire project is slated for completion by March 2028.
Ayodhya has witnessed substantial infrastructure development since 2019, following the Supreme Court's decision to award the site previously occupied by the Babri Masjid to the Hindu community. This ruling led to a notable increase in land prices both within the city and on its outskirts towards Lucknow and Gorakhpur.
In an assessment conducted in October 2023, Anuj Puri, Chairman of the Anarock Group, reported that property prices in Ayodhya experienced a surge of approximately 25-30% immediately after the verdict. Land prices on the city's outskirts have risen to approximately ₹1,500 per square foot to ₹3,000 per square foot, while prices within the city limits have reached around ₹4,000 per square foot to ₹6,000 per square foot. Consequently, there has been a substantial uptick in average property prices between 2019 and 2023.
Founded in 2021, HoABL has earned recognition for revolutionizing the land purchasing process by introducing transparency and leveraging technology, enabling individuals to acquire land from anywhere in the world. Abhinandan Lodha, the company's Chairman and the younger son of Maharashtra Tourism Minister Mangal Prabhat Lodha, mentioned that their previous project attracted customers from 19 different countries.
Additionally, HoABL has ambitious plans for four luxury hotels in locations such as Benares, Vrindavan, Shimla, and Amritsar, with a combined investment totaling ₹2,000 crore.

Veteran actor Amitabh Bachchan has reportedly gifted the iconic Prateeksha bungalow to his daughter Shweta Bachchan as a token of love. The property on 10th Road in Juhu Vile Parle Development scheme was transferred through two separate gift deeds for two plots registered on November 8. The first plot, owned by Amitabh Bachchan and his Rajya Sabha MP wife, measures 9,585 square feet and is valued at ₹31.39 crore while the second plot in the name of Amitabh is spread over 7,254 square feet and is valued at ₹19.24 crore. The Bachchans paid a stamp duty of ₹50.65 lakh, the documents indicated. Pratiksha was the first bungalow in Juhu purchased by the couple shortly after the success of blockbuster Sholay released in 1975. The two actors along with his father and poet Harivansh Rai Bachchan and mother Teji Bachchan lived in Pratiksha initially before moving to their present home Jalsa, one km away. In July 2020 when a monsoon storm uprooted a Gulmohar tree in the garden of Pratiksha, Bachchan wrote in an emotional post in his popular blog that the tree was 43 years old, and it was a sapling when they purchased the bungalow. Apart from Pratiksha, the Bachchan family owns two-storied Jalsa spread across 10,125 square feet which was gifted to the actor by director Raj N Sippy as remuneration for his 1982-film Satte Pe Satta. His latest purchase was in September 2023 of four office units on the 21st floor of the 28-storey Signature office tower on Veera Desai Road in Andheri for ₹28.73 crore.
