Mumbai Police summons Kangana & her sister Rangoli

Mumbai Police on Wednesday issued summons to Bollywood actor&nbsp;Kangana Ranaut &amp; her sister Rangoli Chandel&nbsp;after a local court in ordered them to register an FIR against the duo&nbsp;for allegedly promoting enmity between different communities and other charges.
According to ANI, Mumbai&nbsp;Police has asked Rangoli&nbsp;&amp;&nbsp;Kangana&nbsp;to appear before the investigating officer, on Oct 26 &amp; 27.
Reportedly&nbsp;Bandra Police registered an FIR against Ranaut and her sister Rangoli&nbsp;under IPC sections 153A (Promoting enmity between different groups on grounds of religion, race, etc.), 295A (deliberate acts hurting religious sentiments) and 124-A (sedition)

Markets give up gaining streak: Sensex tanks over 1000 points

After a ten-day gaining streak , a selloff in IT and financial stocks pulled the markets lower on Thursday. Sensex &amp; Nifty erased nearly 40% of gains seen in previous ten sessions. The Sensex closed 1,066.33 points or 2.61 per cent lower at 39,728.41, while the Nifty settled at 11,680.35 for the day, down 2.43 per cent from its previous close. Record number of new COVID-19 infections in parts of Europe spooked investors across the globe. 47 Nifty stocks closed in the red with Bajaj Finance, Tech Mahindra, ICICI Bank being the top losers.

A single dose of Johnson &amp; Johnson's experimental Covid-19 vaccine produced a strong immune response against the novel coronavirus in an early-to-mid stage clinical trial, according to interim results published on Friday, news agency Reuters reported. The vaccine was equally well-tolerated at two different doses, the results showed. A single shot vaccine being developed by Johnson &amp; Johnson, versus a rival two-dose approach being tested by Moderna and Pfizer, could simplify mass distribution of the vaccine.

Bulls at pharma, bears at banks

Even though the pharma&nbsp;pack posted a strong rally on Friday, equity benchmarks ended&nbsp;lower as the banking and financial stocks weighed down the market.
The Sensex closed the session 134 points down at 38,845 and the Nifty ended trading at 11,504, falling 0.10%.
HDFC&nbsp;Bank, Shree&nbsp;Cements, Bajaj&nbsp;Finserv, Kotak&nbsp;Mahindra&nbsp;Bank and Maruti&nbsp;were the top five index losers. On the other hand, DrReddy, Cipla, Adani&nbsp;Ports, Bharti&nbsp;Airtel and M&amp;M were the top gainers.
While the Bank Nifty closed 1.30% in the red, the Nifty Pharma&nbsp;index gained 5%.
The rupee strengthened by 21 paise to close at 73.45 against the US dollar.
