Speaking about the incident, Owaisi later told reporters, "Everyone is saying whatever they want. I said Jai 'Bhim, Jai Meem, Jai Telangana and Jai Palestine'.&nbsp;
"How is it wrong? Tell me under which provision of the Constitution is it illegal. You should also listen to what everyone has said. Whatever I wanted to say, I said it."&nbsp;

All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) chief Asaduddin Owaisi on Thursday led an attack on the BJP. He said that the saffron party wants to target Muslim women and create problems for them in the voting process. Owaisi's remarks came after the BJP Delhi unit called on the Chief Electoral Officer and demanded proper verification of burqa-clad women to be done during polling in Delhi.&nbsp;
AIMIM chief shared a post on X, saying, "The Delhi unit of the BJP has told the Election Commission that there should be a special checking of women in burqa. During the recent Lok Sabha elections in Telangana, their candidate publicly insulted and harassed Muslim women. In every election, the BJP finds some excuse or the other to harass and target Muslim women."
He further added, "The Election Commission has clear rules and regulations for women who do not observe purdah, whether they are in burqa or veil or mask, no one is allowed to vote without verification, so why did the BJP have to make such a special demand? Just target Muslim women, harass them and create obstacles to voting."
On May 22, a Delhi BJP delegation comprising MLAs Ajay Mahawar and Mohan Singh Bisht, State Secretary Kishan Sharma and lawyer Neeraj Gupta met the Chief Electoral Officer. They submitted a memorandum demanding a proper verification of women voters wearing burqas coming to cast votes in Delhi on May 25.&nbsp;
This month, a video of BJP candidate Madhavi Latha contesting from the Hyderabad Lok Sabha seat went viral in which she was seen checking the identities of Muslim women voters at a polling station.

All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) lawmaker Asaduddin Owaisi attacked the NDA government by questioning if the ruling establishment was serving a particular religion or the entire country.
&nbsp;&ldquo;I want to ask if the Modi government is the government of a particular community, religion or the government of the entire country. Is the Modi government only of one religion and Hindutva? Does the government of India have a religion?&rdquo; he said.
Asserting that the country does not have a religion, he said, &ldquo;Through 22nd January (consecration of Ram temple), does this government want to send a message that one religion triumphed over the other? Does the Constitution allow this?&hellip; What message are you giving to the 17 crore Muslims in the country?&rdquo;
He also declared that the Babri mosque would continue to exist at the Ram Temple site in Ayodhya. He concluded his address with "Babri Masjid zindabad" slogan.
When the BJP MPs questioned the role of Babur in razing temples, Owaisi was quick to hit back by saying that he was not the spokesperson for the Mughal emperors.
&ldquo;Am I the spokesperson of Babur, Jinnah or Auranzeb? I respect Lord Ram but I hate Nathuram Godse who killed that person whose last words were Hey Ram," the AIMIM lawmaker said, calling the Supreme Court's 2019 verdict an "egregious act".

All India Majlis-E-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) chief Asaduddin Owaisi on Sunday challenged Congress MP Rahul Gandhi to contest elections from Hyderabad and not Wayanad in the ensuing Lok Sabha elections.
The AIMIM MP was addressing a public gathering in his parliamentary constituency, Hyderabad.
Owaisi said that the Babri Masjid, in Uttar Pradesh's Ayodhya, was demolished under the regime of the grand old party.
"I am challenging your leader (Rahul Gandhi) to contest elections from Hyderabad and not Wayanad. You keep giving big statements, come to the ground and fight against me. People from Congress will say a lot of things, but I am ready...Babri Masjid and Secretariat's mosque were demolished under the Congress regime..." he said.
The Congress and AIMIM are at loggerheads in Telangana as both parties are slugging it out to reach the helm in the upcoming state's Assembly elections, which are scheduled to be held later this year.
Earlier this month, Rahul Gandhi while speaking at Vijayabheri Sabha in Telangana's Tukkuguda, said that the Bharatiya Janata Party, Bharat Rashtra Samithi, and AIMIM are working in unison in Telangana and that his party is fighting against this troika.
"In Telangana, the Congress party is not fighting against BRS but with BRS, BJP and AIMIM combined. They call themselves different parties but they are working together unitedly," Rahul Gandhi had said.
The Wayanad MP had also claimed that there are no CBI-ED cases against Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao or AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi since Prime Minister Narendra Modi considers them his "own people".
All political parties in the fray are leaving no stone unturned to emerge victorious in the Telangana Assembly polls. The ruling BRS has already announced its list of candidates, while the Congress has announced its "six guarantees" which the party says will be fulfilled if they are voted to power.

Asaduddin Owaisi, chief of the All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen party, claimed that his house was attacked on 19 February 2023.
In his complaint to Delhi police, Owaisi said that stones were pelted at his house around 5:30 pm. Owaisi was in Jaipur at the time, but his domestic help was in the house.
The Lok Sabha MP said that some windows were damaged in the incident. Owaisi told police that this was the fourth time since 2014 that his house in the Ashoka Road area of Delhi has been attacked.

AIMIM president Asaduddin Owaisi on Sunday targeted the Arvind Kejriwal-led AAP with a "chhota recharge" jibe, while alleging that the Delhi chief minister defamed Muslims and "wants to break all records of Narendra Modi".
Campaigning for All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) candidates in Delhi's Seelampur ahead of the civic body polls, he alleged that Kejriwal disappeared at the time of riots in the national capital and spoke against those who protested against the Citizenship (Amendment) Act at Shaheen Bagh.
The AIMIM has fielded 16 candidates in the December 4 MCD polls.
"When people were reeling under COVID-19, struggling for oxygen and hospital beds, the Delhi chief minister spewed venom and said coronavirus was spreading because of Tablighi Jammat. He defamed Tablighi Jamaat.
"The lists of Covid cases in Delhi had a column mentioning Tablighi Jamaat members as super-spreaders. The entire country started doubting Muslims. The hatred increased and many people were attacked. The Delhi CM is responsible for this," the AIMIM chief said. &nbsp;Owaisi alleged the Delhi chief minister said he would have removed the (anti-CAA) protesters at Shaheen Bagh in half an hour.

"A person from his party who later joined the BJP raised the 'goli maaron...' slogan," he claimed at the gathering. "The Delhi chief minister got an FIR registered against Tablighi Jamaat, but not against this person. This is his true face... He is the Narendra Modi of 2013 and wants to break all his records." "Houses were burnt and people were killed (in 2020 riots). The Delhi chief minister could not be seen anywhere," Owaisi said.
The AIMIM chief said it is not his party that helps the BJP win but the AAP and the Congress. "They say the BJP is gaining because of Owaisi. It's not me but them who help the BJP win. These parties are not powerful enough to stop the BJP," he said. &nbsp; Owaisi asked the Muslim community to build a leadership of their own by voting for AIMIM candidates. &nbsp;"You voted for the Congress but it could not stop the BJP. You voted for the AAP, but still the BJP won. The value of your vote will increase if you press the button against the kite (AIMIM's symbol)... Be it the BJP, Congress or the Delhi chief minister's chhota recharge. They will never want you to build leadership," he said.

While addressing a public gathering at Juhapura, the largest Muslim ghetto in Gujarat, the AIMIM chief said, "Amit Shah today gave a statement during a public rally that they taught a lesson to the rioters of Gujarat in 2002 and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) established permanent peace in the state. I want to tell the MP of this (Ahmedabad) constituency, Amit Shah, that the lesson you taught in 2002 was that Bilkis' rapists will be freed by you. The lesson you taught was that you will free the murderers of Bilkis' three-year-old daughter. You also taught us that Ahsan Jafri can be killed."
"Amit Shah, what lesson did you teach to the rioters of Delhi communal riots of 2020?" he further questioned. While pitching for its female nominee Zainab Sheikh from the Vejalpur constituency, Owaisi urged the voters to vote for the candidate, who would serve the public. "If you would vote for Congress or Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) then your vote will be wasted. Vote for AIMIM to utilise your vote," he insisted. The All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) will field 14 candidates in the upcoming Gujarat Assembly polls.
AIMIM Gujarat State president Sabir Kabliwala earlier tweeted a list of candidates from Mandvi, Bhuj, Vadgam, Sidhdhapur, Vejalpur, Bapunagar, Dariyapur, Jamalpur Khadiya, Danilimda, Khambhadiya, Mangrol, Limbayat, Surat East and Godhara constituencies.
The Gujarat assembly elections are scheduled to be held in two phases on December 1 and December 5. Voting for 89 assembly seats will take place in the first phase, while for the remaining 93 assembly seats, voting will be held in the second phase of polling.

The Muslim community uses family planning tool, condom the most in order to maintain a gap between two children, AIMIM Chief Asaduddin Owaisi has claimed.
He was responding to RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat’s recent population imbalance remark.
In his address at a public meeting here, Owaisi said Bhagwat will not mention this, and he should keep data before discussing population growths.
“Muslims population is not increasing. Don’t have any tension on that. Our population is declining... Muslims’ children TFR (total fertility rate) is declining. You know who is maintaining more spacing between two children? Muslims are maintaining. Who is using condoms the most? This is to inform you that we are using. Mohan Bhagwat will not talk about it,” Owaisi said.
Bhagwat on October 5 said India should have a population policy prepared after comprehensive thought and be applicable to all communities equally.
At the RSS Dussehra rally at the Reshimbagh Ground in Nagpur, Bhagwat had said community-based population imbalance is an important subject and should not be ignored. Population imbalances lead to changes in geographical boundaries.
“I am informing the truth. ( Bhagwat says) Population is increasing.. Where is it increasing Bhagwat saab? You keep data and speak,” The Hyderabad MP further said.
On Gujarat police reportedly flogging some Muslims in public view for their alleged involvement in stone pelting at a Navratri Garba venue , Owaisi said they were beaten while the spectators were enjoying it.
“They are being beaten on roads with lathis. Is it Indian democracy? Is it Indian secularism? Is it rule of law? There is respect for a roadside dog. But a Muslim is not respected,” Owaisi said.
He said the accused should have been dealt with as per law.

At the RSS Dussehra rally at the Reshimbagh Ground in Nagpur, Bhagwat had said community-based population imbalance is an important subject and should not be ignored. Population imbalances lead to changes in geographical boundaries.

Calling the act a 'custodial torture' All India Majlid-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) chief Asaduddin Owaisi demanded that instead of an enquiry into the incident, the jail officer should be suspended and put behind bars for this 'inhuman behaviour'. 
Owaisi also cited the manual of Home Ministry saying that all prisoners are allowed to practice their faith without any interference from the authorities. 
Rajgarh's district prison jailor S N Rana, who was accused by the men, said there may be a possibility that their beards were shaved on their own request as such arrangements are in place in the jail.
He added that everyone in jail has the freedom to keep beard and hair according to their own faith and belief.
The five men - Kalim Khan, Talib Khan, Arif Khan, Salman Khan alias Bhola and Wahid Khan - were sent to the district jail on September 13 after being arrested under Indian Penal Code Section 151 (disturbing public peace).
They were released on September 15.
The AIMIM chief said that the five men should have been granted bail in the police station itself for the IPC they were booked under instead they were sent to jail. 
Condemning the incident, Congress MLA Arif Masood also approached Madhya Pradesh Home Minister Narottam Mishra along with the five men.
Masood accused the jail authorities of forcing the five men to shave their beards and demanded action against the jail authorities. He alleged that these men were also abused in the jail. Masood later said Mishra assured him of action in the matter.
Deputy Inspector General (DIG), Jails, M R Patel said nothing can be said as of now as a probe is underway into the matter and information will be shared after completion of the investigation.

Amid claims that a 'shivling' has been found at the Gyanvapi mosque in Varanasi, a political war of words broke out.

Regarding the claim that a shivling has been found, the mosque committee has said that it is a fountain. Every mosque has such a fountain. The other important point is that the court-appointed commissioner did not approach the court. The petitioners' lawyer rushed to court and the judge issued an order. If there was a shivling, then the court-appointed commissioner should have said it."
The AIMIM chief also questioned the validity of the court order to seal the 'wuzu' pond where the alleged shivling was found. He said, "The court's order to seal the mosque area is in violation of the 1991 Act passed by Parliament. Read paragraph 83 of the Supreme Court's verdict in Babri Masjid-Ram Janmabhoomi title suit. SC said that the 1991 Act is part of the Constitution's basic structure."
In response, Keshav Prasad Maurya, deputy chief minister of UP, said, "When Congress was in power, it used to bring laws which exacerbate such issues. At that time, the Ram Janmabhoomi campaign was taking place. (The 1991 Act was implemented) to prevent similar campaigns elsewhere. A shivling has not emerged there because of a campaign. A court was hearing a case, and upon its orders, a survey was done. According to the survey report, Baba Vishwanath has been found there. We are all celebrating. Statements by the Muslim side, or other politicians who practice appeasement, should stop. The situation in UP is very good."
The official report of the court-mandated survey of the mosque was not known by May 16. The claim that a shivling has been found was made by one of the petitioners.

Owaisi said, "I'm saying it openly - AIMIM condemns the incident in Saroornagar. We condemn it because in Islam, marriage is between a Muslim man and a Muslim woman. That is when 'nikah' takes place. Under Hindu Marriage Act, you are required to be a Hindu for your marriage to be legal."
The Lok Sabha member added, "In this case, the woman got married as per her choice. She is legal empowered to do so. She has legal permission, she got married. Her brother did not have the right to go and kill her husband. It's a crime as per law. In Islam, the worst crime is murder."
B. Nagaraju was killed in full public view in Hyderabad on May 4, allegedly over his interfaith marriage. One of the accused is the brother of Nagaraju's wife Ashrin Sultana.
