'Monkey see, monkey do, monkey eats banana too!' Wondering why are we talking about this? Well, here's the reason why!&nbsp;
Maurizio Cattelan, the artist who rose to fame for his artwork in 2019 is now at the center of a copyright suit.&nbsp;
Speaking of the infamous artwork '<a href="https://qa.editorji.com/entertainment-news/bollywood/comedian-raju-srivastava-is-stable-informs-family-1660376953409">Comedian</a>'; it was made with a ripe banana bought from a grocery store in Miami, duct-taped to a wall. Yes, you heard it right! And believe it or not, the so-called artwork was sold for a whopping amount of $1,20,000 (Rs 95 lakhs).&nbsp;
The piece created a worldwide buzz and nearly after two years, the artist has now been sued for plagiarism (can refer to the monkey phrase again).&nbsp;
As per the lawsuit, Maurizio copied the artwork from Joe Morford, who made a similar piece with bananas and oranges in the year 2000.&nbsp;
However, as per the judge, the creative freedom of the artist should be respected and no one can claim a copyright on ideas.&nbsp;
