The Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences has deemed the documentary film ineligible as it believes that its theatrical release had not fulfilled the criteria. According to the Academy, &lsquo;Kiss the Future&rsquo; played fewer shows than required and for a film to qualify for the race it must play in the same theater three times a day for a week. &nbsp;
The film&rsquo;s producers, Ben Affleck and Matt Damon have slammed the Academy&rsquo;s decision and insisted that the film is Oscar-eligible as it was released in 13 AMC cinemas. Their appeal was however denied by the Academy. &nbsp;
&lsquo;Kiss the Future&rsquo; is directed by Nenad Cicin-Sain and premiered at the Berlin Film Festival last year. It was nominated for the Cinema for Peace Award and also won the Audience Award at the Sarajevo Film Festival. &nbsp;

While the paps tried to defend himself, Ben gave them no chance and continued his scolding. &ldquo;Don&rsquo;t do that.
