A day after a 34-year-old techie from Uttar Pradesh died by suicide after blaming his wife and her family, the police on Tuesday said they have been booked for abetment of suicide. &nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; Atul Subhash, who worked for a private firm in Bengaluru, left behind a 24-page death note, giving extensive details of what he alleged was years long of emotional distress of marital issues; multiple cases filed against him and harassment by his wife, her relatives, and a judge based in Uttar Pradesh, police said. &nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; Subhash's body was found hanging at his residence in the Manjunath Layout area, which falls under the Marathahalli police station limits, they added. A placard reading "Justice is due" was found in the room where he ended his life. &nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; Before taking the drastic step, he recorded an over 80-minute video on Rumble, explaining the circumstances under which he had decided to die by suicide. &nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; In the video, which has now gone viral on social media platforms, Subhash can be heard saying, "I feel that I should kill myself because the money I earn is making my enemies stronger. That same money will be used to destroy me, and this cycle will keep going. &nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; "With the money from my taxes, this court and police system will harass me, my family, and other good people. So, the supply of value should be finished." &nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; He demanded that, after his death, his wife and her family should not be allowed near his body. Until his alleged harassers were punished, he asked his family not to immerse his ashes. &nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; Demanding justice, Subhash urged his family to throw the ashes outside the court's gutter if his alleged harassers were not found guilty. &nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; "Based on a complaint from his family, we have registered a case of abetment of suicide against his wife and her family members. All the allegations are being looked into, and we are investigating the matter," a senior police officer said. No arrests have been made yet, he added. &nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; According to police, preliminary investigations revealed that Subhash had been facing marital discord with his wife, who had also registered a case against him in Uttar Pradesh. &nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; He also sent his death note via email to several people and shared it with a WhatsApp group of an NGO he was associated with, the officer said. &nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; Additionally, in his death note, Subhash requested that custody of his child be granted to his parents, stating that they could "provide better values". &nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; In his death note, Subhash mentioned getting married in 2019. The couple had a son, the following year. &nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; He alleged that his wife&rsquo;s family repeatedly harassed him for money, demanding several lakh. When he refused, his wife reportedly left their Bengaluru home with their son in 2021, he alleged in this suicide note. &nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; Subhash further alleged, "My wife will keep my child alienated and file more cases to harass me, my elderly parents, and my brother, using the money I pay her as maintenance. Instead of using it for our child's welfare, she is weaponising it against us."

A 22-year-old student was arrested by the police in Bengaluru for stabbing a 52-year-old college security guard.
The accused, who has been identified as Bhargav Jyothi Burman, stabbed Jai Kishan Roy to death for not letting him enter the college citing that he was drunk.&nbsp;
The incident happened on Wednesday at the main gate of Sindhi College in Kempapura during the institution's annual day function. Burman is a third-year BA student at the college.
While checking for visitors, Roy sensed that Burman was trying to enter the premises drunk. A heated exchange ensued between the two, following which Burman left and purchased a knife from a nearby ship.
The accused then came to the campus and attacked Roy repeatedly and tried to flee the spot.
But other security guards chased Burman and pinned him down until the police were called in.
According to media reports, police have taken Burman's blood sample and sent it to the FSL to check whether he was drunk.
According to the Hindu newspaper, Roy hailed from Bihar and has been working in the college for the past 10 years.&nbsp;
The deceased's family has claimed that the management&rsquo;s negligence led to the murder as Roy was not provided with any safety measures.&nbsp;

The National Investigation Agency has detained two main suspects in the Bengaluru Rameshwaram cafe blast case. According to reports, the suspects were picked from West Bengal.
The detained suspects have been identified as bomber Mussavir Hussain Shazib and his accomplice Abdul Matheen Ahmed Taahaa. NIA said they were traced to their hideout near Kolkata and apprehended.
NIA had announced a cash reward of Rs 10 lakh for information on them.&nbsp;
Shazib was the one who placed the Improvised Explosive Device (IED) at the cafe and Taahaa was the mastermind behind the planning and execution of the blast, the officials said.
"In the morning hours of April 12, 2024, NIA was successful in tracing the absconding accused near Kolkata where they were hiding under false identities," an official said.
This pursuit was supported by coordinated action and cooperation among the NIA, central intelligence agencies and the state police agencies of West Bengal, Telangana, Karnataka and Kerala, the official added.
The NIA had last month announced a reward of Rs 10 lakh each for information leading to the arrest of these two accused.
An IED explosion rocked the cafe located on ITPL Road, Brookefield, Bengaluru, on March 1.
The NIA took over the probe on March 3.

A woman lawyer from Bengaluru was allegedly made to strip on camera by scamsters who had extorted around Rs 15 lakh from her.

A woman lawyer in Bengaluru fell prey to cyber criminals and during 'video arrest' for two days she not only lost money to the tune of Rs 14.57 lakh but also posed nude on camera for them, police sources said on Tuesday.
According to police, the incident occurred between April 3 and 5.
A complaint in this regard was registered at the Bengaluru East division cybercrime police station.
The 29-year-old victim from the city received a call from a person claiming to be from the customer care of Fedex, international courier giant, who told her parcel had been returned and she has to speak to the customer care executive.
The executive told her the parcel contained five passports, three credit cards and 140 synthetic narcotics (MDMA) sent from Mumbai to Thailand in her name.
She was told since the parcel contained narcotics, it was on hold and if it has not been placed by her then she should reach out to the cyber crime team in Mumbai to register a complaint of ID theft.
"After I confirmed that yes, I want to make an identity theft complaint, they transferred my call to cyber crime team in Mumbai. The cyber crime team asked me to download Skype and enter an email id in order to chat with them," she said in her complaint.
They then asked her about the 'illegal parcel' and her Aadhaar card details.
The 'cyber crime team' then said they would speak to higher authorities.
"I was then informed that my Aadhaar card was on high alert for human trafficking and drugs. After this, the Skype call was transferred to an alleged senior CBI officer named Abhishek Chauhan where I was asked to switch on the camera and start a conversation," the complainant said.
The 'CBI officer' informed her that there is a case of human trafficking, money laundering and identity theft, she said.
"They kept grilling me about my bank account details such as existing balance, my annual CTC, my monthly income and my investments. I gave them all the needed information," the victim told police.
She was forced to take an oath not to disclose any details with anyone until the investigation was completed as this was a 'highly sensitive case.' The victim was prevented from speaking to her parents and police and told to cooperate with them because "there were police and politicians involved in this case."
She was asked to remain online with the camera on and share her screen so that they could check whether she called or texted anyone.
"For an entire day I was watched even during the night. I was asked to keep the camera on and sleep," she said in her complaint.
On April 4, she was asked to transfer Rs 10,78,993 from her bank account to the account holder name Nithin Joseph, which she diligently did.
Further, they made two separate transactions of Rs 2.04 lakh and Rs 1.74 lakh on Amazon on April 5.
On the pretext of conducting 'narcotic tests', she was forced to strip and pose on camera, the woman said in the complaint.
She alleged she was threatened to continue doing it or else she and her family would be arrested in a drug case.
"The alleged officer later blackmailed me that if I don't give him Rs 10 lakh by 3 pm on April 5, he will sell her video to multiple people including dark web," she said in her complaint.

Police said Umashankar and Vinesh claimed that Suresh used to put a lot of pressure on them. The victim, Suresh, joined the company a year ago. He allegedly harassed and demanded that all employees clear the stock balance promptly.
Suresh also complained about Umashankar and Vinesh&rsquo;s relaxed attitude and delay in clearing the balance to the company&rsquo;s seniors, who took strict action against the duo.

Two weeks after announcing a ban on using drinking water for non-essential services, the Bengaluru civic officials have imposed Rs 5,000 fine each on 22 people in the city within three days for violating the rules.
According to reports, these residents were found using drinking water for car washing and gardening amidst an acute water crisis.
In a statement, the Bangalore Water Supply and Sewerage Board said that it collected Rs 1.1 lakh in fines from 22 households for blatant violation of its rule.
According to reports, most of the complaints against the offenders were received on social media, with the majority of the violations reported in the southeast division of Bengaluru where fines totalling Rs 65,000 were levied.&nbsp;
The board, in its order, had noted, &ldquo;About 1.4 crore population has been identified in Bengaluru including permanent residents and those who are on transit. The supply of drinking water to all is essential. At present, the temperature is rising in the city every day, and the groundwater level has decreased due to lack of rain in recent days. As a result, it is necessary to prevent wastage of water in the city and it has been made necessary for the public to use drinking water sparingly.&rdquo;
During Holi celebrations, BWSSB has advised residents not to use Cauvery and borewell water for pool parties and rain dances. It has also introduced an innovative programme, encouraging hotels, apartments and industries to install aerators to reduce water consumption.
It had also directed malls and cinema to use water only for drinking.
"In case of violation of prohibitory order, a fine of Rs 5,000 will be applicable for the first time offence and recurrence of this violation will result in a fine of Rs 5,000 with an additional penalty of Rs 500 per day," it stated.
According to officials, Bengaluru requires 2,100 MLD of potable water, out of which 1,450 MLD comes from Cauvery river, reports PTI news agency.
The city needs about eight thousand million cubic feet (TMC) from March to May while there is 34 TMC water in reservoirs.
The remaining 650 MLD of the city's water requirement comes from borewell water. There is a 250 MLD deficit here largely due to lack of rains, depleting underground water levels and exploitation of groundwater, they said.

&nbsp;The National Investigation Agency (NIA) probing the Rameshwaram Cafe blast case has detained a man from Ballari district, sources said on Wednesday.
The man is said to have &ldquo;some resemblance&rdquo; with the prime suspect, the sources said.
&ldquo;NIA sleuths are interrogating him to know his whereabouts on March one when the blast took place&rdquo;, they said.
The accused wearing a cap and mask placed a low-intensity bomb kept in a backpack in the popular eatery at Brookefield area near Whitefield here that went off injuring nine persons on March one.
 NIA has announced Rs 10 lakh cash reward for information leading to the arrest of the bomber, and also released CCTV pictures and videos of the suspect.
Karnataka Home Minister G Parameshwara said earlier this week sleuths investigating into the blast have &ldquo;in a way&rdquo; identified the suspect, and efforts are on to nab him.
He had said the investigators are verifying the suspect&rsquo;s identity and are &ldquo;getting closer to him.&rdquo;
&ldquo;Investigations are going on, we are closing in, in a way who the person (the suspect) is has been identified. It has to be confirmed and he has to be nabbed.&rdquo;
On the trail of the suspect, the sleuths investigating the case had visited Tumakuru, Ballari, and Kalaburagi districts.&nbsp;

"In the last 30-40 years we had not seen such drought; though there was drought earlier we had never declared such a large number of taluks as drought-affected,", he said.
Shivakumar slammed the BJP for playing politics over the issue.&nbsp;
"BJP is planning a protest against the state government tomorrow, let them do what they want, first let them approach the central government and ask them to give permission to Mahadayi and Mekedaatu projects", he said.
Meanwhile, the Bangalore Water Supply and Sewerage Board has said it will take legal action against those drilling unauthorised borewells within the city limits.
Starting March 15, people can seek permission for drilling borewells by submitting their applications on the official website of the Board.

Eight days after a low intensity blast at Bengaluru's Rameshwaram Cafe left 10 people injured, the popular eatery reopened for customers on 9th March. Security has been tightened at the cafe that saw a long queue of customer early morning.&nbsp;
Before opening the cafe, its co-founder Raghavendra Rao and all staff joined for the National Anthem.&nbsp;
According to the administration, metal detectors have been installed at the entrance of the eatery to screen visitors.
"We are taking all the security measures to avoid such incidents in the future. We are strengthening our security team, and are also trying to have a panel of ex-servicemen to train our security guards," Raghavendra Rao said while speaking to ANI.
According to the administration, metal detectors have been installed at the entrance of the eatery to screen customers. Staff will screen every customer with handheld detectors before allowing entry. There would be strict vigilance on all customers and staff will look out for any suspicious activity.
Meanwhile, a cloth merchant from Kaul Bazaar in Ballari and a PFI cadre have been detained by the National Investigation Agency and Central Crime Branch in their joint investigation of the March 1 blast.

Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Saturday expressed confidence about nabbing the culprit involved in the blast at the city's popular eatery The Rameshwaram Cafe, as his movement has been captured by the cameras.
He said it is still not known whether any organisation was involved in the incident at the quick-service eatery in Brookfield area in information technology corridor in east Bengaluru that left ten people injured, and the investigations are on.
"The blast has happened. One person wearing mask and cap has come by bus, he has purchased 'Rava Idly' from the counter at the cafe and has sat at a place. Then he has set the timer and gone. The blast has occurred, about 9 people (actually 10) people are injured. All are out of danger," Siddaramaiah said.
Speaking to reporters here, he said, the Deputy Chief Minister and Home Minister had visited the spot on Friday, and on Saturday he too will be visiting the cafe and the hospital where injured are being treated.
To a question whether any organisation was involved or was it by an individual, the Chief Minister said it is still not known.
"We will find the culprit, it will be easy as his visuals alighting from the bus, purchasing tiffin at the eatery, sitting at a place and placing a bag have all come. We will find him at the earliest," he added.
Asked about some reports suggesting similarities between the 2022 Mangaluru cooker blast and the Friday's incident, Siddaramaiah said serious investigations are on.
Reacting to opposition's criticism that the government's appeasement politics has led to the incident, he said the BJP was playing politics on the issue.
"During their time bomb blasts had happened, Mangaluru cooker blast had taken place, was that also appeasement?" he questioned and said he condemns the explosion, and the incident should not be politicised.
To a question on whether it was a terrorist act, the CM said: "investigation is going on, we will take action based on what comes out of it."

A 45-year-old woman suffered burns when a low intensity blast rocked Bengaluru's Rameshwaram Cafe.
According to he Indian Express, the victim, identified as Swarnamba Narayanappa who is an accountant at a multinational firm, underwent plastic surgery to treat the burn injuries she suffered on the right side of her upper body.
A doctor said that she was the worst injured of all the blast victims. CCTV footage of the incident showed the woman struggling to get up after the blast.
Meanwhile, a team of forensic experts, bomb disposal squad and dog squad reached the site to conduct an investigation.
Officials from the local unit of the National Investigation Agency (NIA) also arrived at the spot and conducted inquiry.

Five people were injured in an explosion at a popular eatery joint in Bengaluru's Whitefield area. It is not known what caused the explosion at The Rameshwaram Cafe, but police suspect that the minor blast might have been triggered by to short-circuit or a gas cylinder.
The explosion at Rameshwaram Cafe at Kundanahalli led to a blaze. Police and Fire personnel have rushed to the spot.
"We received a call about a cylinder blast in Rameshwaram cafe. Immediately, a fire engine was rushed to the spot. Initial suspicions are that it is a cylinder blast. However, it is being ascertained. It is a minor blast and we have shifted those injured to the hospital. The incident occurred between 1.30 and 2 pm. We are probing it from all angles," a police officer told PTI news agency.
Divya Raghavendra, the founder and managing director of the cafe, told the Deccan Herald newspaper that two blasts occurred in the handwash area and there were no LPG cylinders there. Police said that three of the injured were employees of the cafe.

But other texts are written in small fonts, hence they are not clearly visible from a far. And this humorous misinterpretation has left people on social media laughing. &nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;
The signboard is reportedly designed by the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP).&nbsp;
Shared by an X user, Sumukh Rao, the signboard quickly gained attention of netizens on the internet.
