Adani plans to build a township and a special economic zone on the land, the CM said.

Amid a raging political controversy over the Adani-Hindenburg issue, the Gujarat government has revealed what the conglomerate is planning in the state.
Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel on 24 February 2023 informed the Assembly that the Adani group has sought almost 94,000 square metres of grazing and non-arable land in Ahmedabad and Gandhinagar.
Adani plans to build a township and a special economic zone on the land, the CM said. The demands are still pending with the state government.

The oath was administered by Governor Acharya Devvrat at a function held at the Helipad Ground near the new Secretariat at 2 PM.

Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Bhupendra Patel was sworn-in as the Chief Minister of Gujarat for a second straight term in Gandhinagar on Monday in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, and other dignitaries.
The oath was administered by Governor Acharya Devvrat at a function held at the Helipad Ground near the new Secretariat at 2 PM.
Along with Patel, some new ministers are also took the oath.
In the just-concluded Gujarat Assembly elections, counting for which was held on December 8, the BJP won a seventh straight term by winning record 156 seats in the 182-member House. The Congress won 17 constituencies and AAP 5.
Patel, 60, resigned as chief minister along with his entire cabinet on Friday to pave the way for the formation of a new government following the election results.
He was elected as the leader of the BJP legislative party on Saturday, following which he met the governor and staked the claim to form the next government.

Gujarat CM Bhupendra Patel could be seen smiling and celebrating with party workers on Thursday as BJP seems poised to win Gujarat Assembly polls while maintaining a strong lead in over 150 seats in the state.
The Gujarat CM could be seen treated to sweets by party workers and aides and sporting a victory sign for the cameras too.
Notably, Patel is expected to retain his post and is headed for a second straight win from the urban constituency of Ghatlodia, where he had taken a comfortable lead of almost 20,000 votes over his nearest rival after five rounds of vote counting.

Thousands of fans flooded the Gandhinagar streets as Gujarat Titans, the winners of IPL 2022, their maiden IPL season took out a victory parade in the home state. Gujarat Titans who became the only team after Rajasthan Royals to win the cash-rich league in their maiden season won the 15th edition of IPL after defeating Sanju Samson's RR in the finals on Sunday. The cricketers displayed the trophy on the bus' open top. The new franchise thanked their fans for the heartwarming welcome in a tweet and further wrote, 'We can’t thank the city police enough for ensuring our roadshow was a roaring success!'Later on the same day, the winning team was also hosted by Gujarat CM Bhupendra Patel. The team presented a bat signed by all the players, the proceeds of which will be used for the education of the daughters of the state, Patel said in a Tweet while congratulating the players on the special victory. The Hardik Pandya-led side's next stop will be Mumbai where the team owners, CVC Capital Partners will host a party for them. They will leave for Mumbai on Tuesday.
