Popular quick-commerce platform Blinkit, and Atomberg, a household appliance manufacturer, have joined forces to deliver ceiling fans in just 12 minutes, setting a new standard in the e-commerce industry.

The Founding Member &amp; Chief Business Officer of Atomberg took to social media to announce this groundbreaking partnership, which was later endorsed by Blinkit CEO Albinder Dhindsa.&nbsp;
The news quickly went viral, eliciting a myriad of responses from online users. Some users humorously speculated about Blinkit's potential expansion into selling air conditioners and even luxury cars, showcasing the public's intrigue and amusement at the rapid delivery promise.
<h3>Expansion into gaming consoles with Sony partnership</h3>
Expanding its market, Blinkit recently unveiled a collaboration with Sony, offering hyperlocal delivery of the highly sought-after PlayStation 5 Slim edition and controllers in just 10 minutes.&nbsp;
Customers in key cities like Bengaluru, Delhi NCR, and Mumbai can now enjoy the convenience of ordering the latest gaming console and receiving it in a fraction of the time it takes traditional e-commerce platforms.

Days after Zomato-owned Blinkit changed the incentive system by reducing delivery rates for executives, around 2,500 delivery workers of the quick commerce company are on strike in Gurugram, Delhi and Noida. According to a report by The Morning Context, Blinkit introduced a new pay structure from Monday midnight for delivery partners under which the partners would have to book their time slots and complete the targets assigned to them. They would be paid on a per kilometre basis.&nbsp; While a Blinkit spokesperson said that the new payout structure is an opt-in exercise and compensates partners based on their efforts to deliver an order, delivery partners say that the delivery fees paid to riders has cut to Rs 14 per order from Rs 50 earlier. The strike has &nbsp;led to the quick commerce company's services being impacted across the city. Of the 31 dark stores that cater to Blinkit in the city, only two are operational at the moment with protection from local police and bouncers deployed by the company.&nbsp;
The company, formerly known as Grofers, was acquired in a Rs 4,447 crore deal by food delivery company Zomato in June last year.

A man took to Twitter and shared his ordeal by sharing a picture of a rat inside a packet of bread which he ordered from the grocery delivery platform Blinkit.
In the post, the man going by the name Nitin wrote that "he had the most unpleasant experience with Blinkit and even blamed it on the 10-minute delivery." Nitin added that he would rather wait for hours than receive such items.
The tweet soon went viral garnering various reactions from netizens.
