As India recorded 975 new Covid infections in the last 24-hours till Sunday morning, the total number of active cases jumped to 11,366.  Delhi is seeing a surge in positive cases. The state’s positivity rate stood at 3.95%, reporting 366 fresh cases, bringing the all time tally to 18,67,572. This is the second consecutive day Delhi has seen more than 300 cases.  Earlier this week, Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal had said that the government is monitoring the situation closely. According to senior officials, random Covid testing will restart at Metro stations and places that see high footfall. Fresh guideline compulsory mask use is expected to be announced as well.  The government has also announced free precaution dose at its hospitals soon.

In such a case, many doctors are prescribing drugs to help alleviate the problem but&nbsp;these steroids&nbsp;have well-known potential side effects including fluid retention, high blood pressure and problems with mood swings and behaviour.&nbsp;&nbsp;
This is why smell training is a much better, cheaper and side-effect-free alternative. The therapy works by using neuroplasticity - the brain's ability to reorganise itself to compensate for a change or injury. The key is to go and smell distinguished but easily&nbsp;recognisable and familiar smells.&nbsp;&nbsp;
Prof Philpott added that their research shows that 90% of people fully recover their sense of smell after six months.&nbsp;
