A new finding from&nbsp;Australia's national science agency CSIRO&nbsp;has&nbsp;revealed that the Covid-19 virus can remain active on cash, phone screens and stainless steel surfaces for 28 days!
Their study showed that the virus was 'extremely robust', surviving for 28 days on glass and other smooth surfaces when in room temperature. On cloth, the virus seemed to last for a shorter period of time.
On the other hand, the flu virus can survive in the same scenario for 17 days.
The study, which was published in&nbsp;Virology Journal, further showed that the&nbsp;SARS-Cov-2 survived for less time at hotter temperatures.

Approximately 14m tonnes of plastic is believed to lie at the bottom of the ocean, according to a new research by&nbsp;Australia&rsquo;s government science agency, CSIRO.
There are 30 times more of these microplastics, which are less than 5mm wide, on the ocean floor than on the surface.
Their research suggested that while it wasn't possible to know the age of the microplastics&nbsp;and the larger plastic they were a part of but they seemed to be consumer items.&nbsp;
A majority of the plastic also ends up getting trapped at the coastline before entering the sea.&nbsp;
