Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has been granted bail after the Enforcement Directorate filed a complaint against him for skipping multiple summons issued by them in the Delhi liquor policy case.&nbsp;
The AAP leader appeared before a Delhi court on March 16 and was granted bail on a bond of Rs 15,000.&nbsp;
The ED summoned Kejriwal for questioning 8 times but the Delhi chief minister did not appear before them.&nbsp;
The court of Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Divya Malhotra also allowed Kejriwal to leave the courtroom.
"Offence being bailable, accused Arvind Kejriwal is admitted to bail," it said.
The court further directed the ED to hand over documents related to the complaints to Kejriwal.
The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has filed two complaints before the magisterial court, seeking Kejriwal's prosecution for skipping multiple summonses issued to him in the case.
The latest complaint pertains to the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national convenor not honouring summonses no. 4 to 8 sent by the federal probe agency under Section 50 of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA).
The ED had earlier moved the magisterial court seeking Kejriwal's prosecution for not attending the first three summonses issued to him in the money laundering case linked to the now-scrapped Delhi excise policy.&nbsp;

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has written to the Enforcement Directorate saying the agency's summons in the excise policy case is illegal.
According to the Aam Aadmi Party, Kejriwal has, however, told the central agency that he is ready to answer it and sought a date after 12th March. The party said that Kejriwal would &nbsp;attend the hearing via video conferencing.
The party's statement comes after the ED asked Kejriwal to appear before it on 4th March.

The Enforcement Directorate is reportedly mulling sending another summons to Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal in the excise policy scam case.

The Enforcement Directorate sources told PTI news agency that they have filed a complaint against Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal for intentionally skipping summons in the excise policy scam case.
The agency has filed a complaint against Kejriwal under IPC Section 174 for skipping the first three summons intentionally.
It is also expected to issue fresh summons to the CM. The sources further claimed that a court has found the CM "disobeying" the earlier notices and held that he is liable to be prosecuted.&nbsp;
Kejriwal, 55, refused to depose before the federal agency for the sixth time on Monday with the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) saying the ED should wait for the court's decision instead of repeatedly sending summonses to the CM, also the party's national convenor.
A Delhi court on February 17 had granted exemption to Kejriwal from personal appearance for the day in connection with the complaint filed by the central agency for disobeying its summons in the excise policy-linked money laundering case.
The court posted the matter for March 16 and Kejriwal's counsel assured the court of his physical appearance that day.
The ED sources said the agency had filed a complaint before this court under section 174 of IPC against Kejriwal for "intentionally disobeying" the first three summons issued to him in this case.
The court has taken cognisance of the same and prima facie accepted that Kejriwal committed an offence for which he is liable to be prosecuted, the sources claimed.
The court had said that from the contents of the complaint and the material placed on record (by the ED), prima facie offence under Section 174 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) is made out and there are sufficient grounds for proceeding against the accused (Kejriwal).
The question in front of the court is not about the validity of the summons rather the illegal act on part of Kejriwal of intentionally disobeying the said three summons, the sources said.
Hence, the ED is not wrong in issuing him summons despite the court matter listed for March 16, they said.
Kejriwal's name has been mentioned multiple times in charge sheets filed by the ED in the case. The agency has said that the accused were in touch with him regarding the preparation of the now-scrapped Delhi Excise Policy 2021-22.

The Enforcement Directorate filed a complaint against Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal at a city court on Saturday after the AAP supremo skipped his fifth summons in the liquor excise policy scam case.
The Rouse Avenue Court has decided to hear the matter on February 7.
The agency has filed a complaint under section 63 (4) of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA), which deals with a person intentionally disobeying any direction issued under Section 50, which gives power to ED to issue summons.&nbsp;
The complaint also mentions Section 174 of the Indian Penal Code, which pertains to non-attendance in obedience to an order from a public servant.
Kejriwal refused to appear before the ED repeatedly claiming that it is illegal and designed to arrest him.
There have been speculations about the arrest of Kejriwal ever since the first summons was issued by the agency on November 2.

This is Kejriwal's fourth summon by the ED in connection with his alleged involvement in Delhi excise policy scam case. Kejriwal has called the summons as politically motivated.
