"Low visibility and fog over Delhi may lead to some delays. We're keeping a close watch on the weather and doing our best to get you where you need to be , safely and smoothly," IndiGo said in a post on X at 8.18 am.
Delhi airport operator DIAL said while landings and takeoffs continue at the airport, flights that are not CAT III-compliant may get affected.
CAT III facility allows flight operations in low visibility conditions.
As per information available on Flightradar24.com, over 100 flights were delayed on Wednesday.

"Palam's visibility dropped to 50 metres at 12 midnight. It improved to 500 metres by 2.30 am, before dropping to zero at 5.30 am. Winds remained westerly at 5-7 kmph throughout the night," the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said.
The minimum temperature in Delhi dropped to 7.4 degrees Celsius, 0.5 notch above normal, from 10.5 degrees Celsius on Tuesday, according to the IMD.
The maximum temperature in Delhi is expected to settle around 16 degrees Celsius on Wednesday, the weather office said.
The capital's Air Quality Index (AQI) was recorded at 334 at 9 am, dropping to 'very poor' category from the 'poor' AQI recorded on Tuesday, Central Pollution Control Board data showed.

The Safdarjung observatory, Delhi's primary weather station, recorded a minimum temperature of 9.6 degrees Celsius, 2.7 notches above the normal for this time of the year, at 8.30 am, the IMD said.
At 5.30 am, the visibility at Safdarjung and Palam was 300 metres, it said.
Some parts of the city received light rain in the morning.

IMD data reveals that the last comparable minimum temperature during this period was on December 6, 1987, when Delhi saw a record low of 4.1 degrees Celsius.

Cold Wave Forecast for Delhi For December 12, the IMD predicts cold wave conditions at isolated places with predominant surface winds from the northwest, starting at less than 8 kmph in the morning and increasing to 16 kmph in the afternoon. Evening and night will likely see reduced wind speeds and persistent smog or mist.
For December 13, similar conditions are expected, with northwest winds gradually increasing to 10-12 kmph during the afternoon before easing in the evening. The city is likely to see mist or smog during both morning and night.
