திருவண்ணாமலை சிற்பக்குளம் (மன்மத குளம்) மற்றும் அரியலூர் யானை சிற்பத்தை பாதுகாக்கப்பட்ட புராதனச் சின்னங்களாக தமிழக அரசு அறிவித்துள்ளது.
இதேபோல, திருவண்ணாமலையில் உள்ள சிற்பக்குளம் 16-ம் நூற்றாண்டின் நாயக்கர் மன்னர்கள் காலத்தை சார்ந்ததாக கருதப்படுகிறது. இதன் சுற்றுப்பகுதிகளில் உள்ள கற்களில் ராமாயணம், மகாபாரதம், பெரியபுராணம் மற்றும் கலவியல் காட்சிகள் சிற்பங்களாக செதுக்கப்பட்டுள்ளன. மேலும், குளத்தின் 4 நுழைவு வாயில்களில் நந்திகள் சிலை வடிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.
கங்கைகொண்ட சோழபுரத்தை அடுத்த அழகர் கோவிலில் யானை சிற்பம் 80 அடி உயரத்தில் நின்றபடி உள்ளது. இந்த சிற்பம் சுமார் 41 அடி நீளம், 12 அடி அகலம் கொண்டது. இது 16-17-ம் நூற்றாண்டைச் சார்ந்ததாக உள்ளது. சிற்பத்தில் கழுத்து, உடலின் மேற்பகுதி மணிகளால் அலங்கரிக்கப்பட்டு காட்சியளிக்கிறது.
