Israeli actor Ido Samuel, known for his role in &lsquo;We Were the Lucky Ones,&rsquo; made a powerful statement at the Emmys. He wore a yellow pin to show solidarity with hostages held by Hamas terrorists in the Gaza Strip.
Meanwhile, Nicola Coughlan, the breakout star from Netflix&rsquo;s &lsquo;Bridgerton,&rsquo; turned heads with her glittering gown and a red Artists4Ceasefire pin.
Coughlan, a vocal advocate for Palestinian rights, used the pin to call for a ceasefire in Gaza and the release of Israeli hostages.

The Japan-set historical epic Shogun has broken all-time records and was named Best Drama at the 76th Primetime Emmy Awards, while Hacks and Baby Reindeer also celebrated major victories at the glamorous event in Los Angeles. Shogun, which portrays the story of warring dynasties in feudal Japan, ended the evening with an impressive 18 awards, making history as the first non-English-language series to win the prestigious Best Drama award. The previous record for most awards won by a single season of a TV show was 13.

The Television Academy announced the nominations for the 76th Emmys on July 17, featuring historic choices and several critically acclaimed names and titles long overdue for recognition.
Beloved FX series &lsquo;The Bear&rsquo;, set in a Chicago sandwich shop, leads the list along with the drama series Shōgun. &nbsp;&lsquo;The Bear's 23 nominations broke the record of another iconic comedy show, &lsquo;30 Rock&rsquo;, which earned 22 nods at the 2009 Emmys.
In the drama category, &lsquo;Shōgun&rsquo; led with 25 nominations. However, the record of 32 nominations, held by HBO&rsquo;s &lsquo;Game of Thrones&rsquo; since 2016, remains unbroken.
Some past favourites, including Succession and Ted Lasso, were not in contention this year, but &lsquo;The Crown&rsquo;, &lsquo;The Morning Show&rsquo;, and &lsquo;Only Murders in the Building&rsquo; received multiple nominations.
Selena Gomez has made history as the most Emmy-nominated Latina producer in the &lsquo;Best Comedy Series&rsquo; category for her role as executive producer on Hulu's &lsquo;Only Murders in the Building&rsquo;. Additionally, Gomez received her first acting Emmy nomination for Best Actress in a Comedy Series for her portrayal of Mabel.
Sheryl Lee Ralph and Tony Hale announced this year&rsquo;s nominees. Ralph also earned a nomination for Best Supporting Actress in a Comedy for her work on Abbott Elementary, a category she won in 2022.
The 76th Emmy Awards will air on Sunday, September 15 on ABC. For Indian fans, the awards will be streamed live on September 16 at 5:30 am (IST) on Lionsgate Play.

He bagged the award for his guest role as Timothy Robicheaux on &lsquo;Day of Our Lives&rsquo;. &ldquo;I feel like a spy from nighttime television. 'I can't believe it. Coolidge starred in Mike White’s ‘The White Lotus’, earning positive reviews for her role and has also received multiple accolades for both the seasons including a Golden Globe, two Critics’ Choice Television Awards and an Emmy in 2022.

The 75th Emmy Awards were held after being delayed due to writers&rsquo; and actors&rsquo; strike. Among the winners who caught attention was actor Jennifer Coolidge who won her second Emmy. The actor received the prestigious award for her TV show &lsquo;The White Lotus&rsquo; but what put the spotlight on her was her hilarious speech that left the audience in splits. &nbsp;
Coolidge began her speech as she put down the award next to her and said, &ldquo;I don&rsquo;t have the strength to hold the award.&rdquo; She went on to give a shout out to her director, Mike White and thanked him for the role. &ldquo;And he says I am definitely dead, so I am going along with it,&rdquo; the actress said as her character died at the end of the second season of the show. Coolidge did not forget her &lsquo;murderers&rsquo; in the show as she gave them a shout out. I just want to say, I want to thank all the evil gays. Yes, Paolo, Francesco and Bruno, thank you,&rdquo; she quipped. The actress concluded by saying, &ldquo;I had a little dream in my little town, and everyone said it was impractical and far-fetched. But it did happen after all, and so don&rsquo;t give up on your dreams. The 75th Emmy Awards have been pushed to January 15, 2024, the Television Academy and broadcast network Fox announced on August 10.
The Emmys which were scheduled to take place on September 18, 2023, have been delayed due to ongoing Hollywood actors and writers strike.
This is the first time since 1960 that writers' and actors' union has gone on strike together, halting production of TV shows and films and impacting businesses in the entertainment world.
The Emmys will broadcast live on Fox on January 15, 2024, from the Peacock Theater at LA Live.
HBO is the leading nominee heading into the ceremony, with three of its series &mdash; Succession, The Last of Us and The White Lotus &mdash; racking up 74 nominations. In all, HBO received 127 nominations.
&nbsp;No host has been announced for the ceremony, which will celebrate the Emmys&rsquo; diamond anniversary.
The Emmys will be executive produced by Jesse Collins, Dionne Harmon, and Jeannae Rouzan-Clay of Jesse Collins Entertainment.
This is the first time the Emmys have been postponed since 2001, when the 9/11 terrorist attacks pushed the ceremony, normally held in September, to November.

&lsquo;The King's Affection&rsquo;, starring Park Eun-bin and Rowoon, has become the first Korean-language series to win an International Emmy Award. Titled &lsquo;Yeonmo&rsquo; in Korean, the period drama earned the honour in the best telenovela category at the 50th edition of the award show. The show aired on Korean broadcaster KBS2 and on Netflix in selected international regions last year.
The International Academy of Television Arts &amp; Sciences made the announcement on its official Twitter page and wrote, &lsquo;The International Emmy for Telenovela goes to 'Yeonmo [The King's Affection]' produced by KBS / Arc Media / Monster Union / Netflix! #SouthKorea #iemmyWIN.&rsquo; Other nominees in the category were &lsquo;Nos Tempos do Imperador&rsquo; (Brazil), &lsquo;Two Lives&rsquo; (Spain), and &lsquo;You Are My Hero&rsquo; (China).
Lee Geon Joon, the head of KBS Drama Center, in a statement to the Korean outlet Soompi, said he is happy that &lsquo;The King's Affection&rsquo; won the first-ever International Emmy as a Korean drama. &lsquo;... and it's a pleasure to have the potential of Korean dramas as a whole receive recognition. I feel an immense sense of responsibility during this time when K-content is receiving so much love around the world. We will do our best so that KBS dramas can play a large role in maintaining the potential of Korean (entertainment) content,&rsquo; Lee said.
&lsquo;The King&rsquo;s Affection&rsquo; is set during the Joseon dynasty when having twins was considered a bad omen. It shows how the Crown Princess Consort gives birth to twins but sends the girl away to spare her life. Years later, the twin son dies in an accident and his sister must assume his identity and throne, all while hiding her true self.

The 74th Primetime <a href="https://www.editorji.com/entertainment-news/hollywood/emmys-2022-winners-list-sheryl-lee-ralph-julia-garner-michael-keaton-win-awards-1663037755953">Emmy</a> Awards were recently held at Los Angeles&rsquo; Microsoft Theatre and the biggest film and television stars showed up in style for the prestigious ceremony. &lsquo;Saturday Night Live&rsquo; star Kenan Thompson, who hosted the event for the first time, kicked off his monologue with a dance to a medley of popular television theme songs, pointing out the lack of diversity in these shows.
Kenan also joked about Leonardo DiCaprio, who was recently in the news for his breakup with model Camila Morrone. Mentioning Zendaya, one of the biggest nominees of the evening, he said, that she just turned 26 last week, which is a weird age in Hollywood. He further stated that she&rsquo;s young enough to play a high school student, but too old to date Leonardo.
The host also addressed the Oscar slapgate, involving Will Smith and Chris Rock, in his monologue He noted how Regina Hall, who hosted this year&rsquo;s Oscars was also in the audience. &lsquo;Surprised she&rsquo;s at another award show, girl, you brave&rsquo; he joked.

While accepting the honour, the show’s creator Jesse Armstrong left the audience surprised as he took a dig at King Charles III in his speech.
Armstrong said, ‘Evidently, a bit more voting involved in our winning than Prince Charles. I'm not saying we're more legitimate than that position we'll leave that to other people. We are incredibly grateful to have this wonderful honour.’ Reacting to his mention of the King, actor Brian Cox added, ‘Keep it royalist, keep it royalist.’
Armstrong didn’t make any more jokes about the royal family in his speech and concluded it by thanking his cast and crew. He said, ‘It's a team effort, starting with the writers room, the producers who support us, the directors, my god, the extraordinary cast we are surrounded by, my goodness, our amazing crew.’  
For the unversed, King Charles officially became the King of the UK and Commonwealth following Queen Elizabeth II’s demise on September 8.
‘Succession’ received 25 nominations at Emmy Awards 2022. However, it managed to win only four honours. ‘Ted Lasso’, ‘Squid Game’ and ‘The White Lotus’ bagged multiple awards in different categories.

The 74th Primetime Emmy Awards honours the best shows and the incredible performances, from the year gone by.

The 74th Primetime Emmy Awards were presented at the Microsoft Theater in Downtown Los Angeles, California. Host Kenan Thompson commenced the show with dances to remixes of theme songs from popular TV shows like &lsquo;Friends,&rsquo; &lsquo;Law &amp; Order&rsquo; and &lsquo;Stranger Things.&rsquo;
&lsquo;Succession&rsquo;, &lsquo;The White Lotus,&rsquo; and &lsquo;Ted Lasso&rsquo; won some of the biggest awards of the night.&nbsp;
Sheryl Lee Ralph, who plays Barbara Howard on &lsquo;Abbott Elementary&rsquo;, won outstanding supporting actress. She made history as she became the second Black woman to score an Emmy in the category after Jack&eacute;e Harry, who won for &lsquo;227&rsquo; in 1987.
&lsquo;<a href="https://www.editorji.com/entertainment-news/korean/netflix-plans-squid-game-the-challenge-reality-series-with-huge-cash-prize-here-s-how-to-apply-1655351398489">Squid Game</a>&rsquo; actor Lee Jung-jae also made history by winning an award for his lead performance as Seong Gi-hun. He is the first winner in this category who won the award for a non-English performance. Apart from this, the show also won awards for Outstanding Special Visual Effects, Outstanding Stunt Performance and Outstanding Production Design for a Narrative Contemporary Program.

The Television Academy has announced a complete list of this year's 74th Emmy Awards. Succession, Severance, Squid Game, Stranger Things, Barry, Euphoria, Ted Lasso are among the frontrunners.

South Korean drama 'Squid Game' has made history by bagging 14 nominations and becoming the first non-English language series to be nominated for the best drama at the Emmy Awards. Lee Jung-jae has been nominated for the best actor in a drama series whereas Park Hae-soo has been nominated for the best actor in a limited or anthology series.This year's Emmy Awards will be held on Monday, Sept. 12 at 8 pm.

The Television Academy's Board of Governors has announced that they have approved the gender-neutral option for nominees and winners.
Confirming the news on their website the TV Academy&nbsp;said&nbsp;nominees in the Best Actress or Best Actor categories can choose to be called a performer rather than an actor or an actress during the 73rd Primetime Emmy Awards in September 2021.
Reportedly the decision comes into effect after a long debate over how to accommodate gender-neutral performers at awards ceremonies. Actor Asia Kate Dillon, who is non-binary, in 2017 had also asked the TV Academy to clarify its gender distinctions.
