Mumbai moved up six spots to 136th rank, and New Delhi moved up two spots to 164th rank

Hong Kong and Singapore have topped a new global list of the world&rsquo;s most expensive cities for expatriates, surpassing Swiss cities for the second consecutive year, according to Mercer&rsquo;s 2024 Cost of Living report.
High rental costs in these regional finance hubs pushed Zurich, Geneva, Basel, and Bern down the rankings. Moving down the list, New York fell to seventh place, while London rose nine spots to eighth.
Mercer's report highlighted that rising housing costs and volatile inflation trends are impacting expat workers' compensation packages.

Amid a constant increase in input costs and overall inflation, major automakers have announced that they will be increasing the price of vehicles in India starting January 2023.&nbsp;
From India&rsquo;s largest carmaker, Maruti Suzuki to luxury automaker, Mercedes-Benz have announced that they will hike the prices of its models from January 2023 and that the increase will vary for different models.&nbsp;
While Maruti stated that recent regulatory requirements and inflation are the reasons behind why it announced the hike for different models, Mercedes-Benz said a constant increase in input costs and increased logistics costs have been exerting significant pressure on the overall operational costs of the company.&nbsp;&nbsp;
Other than this, companies like Honda, Tata Motors, Hyundai, Mercedes-Benz, Audi, Renault, Kia India and MG Motor have also made the year-end announcements to hike prices from Janurary 1st.&nbsp;&nbsp;

The vlogger said that the size of the presidential suite is about the size of a single railway coach. The suite has two bedrooms, a bathroom and eating spaces.&nbsp;
Other than this, there are large panoramic windows included in the suite and every passenger carriage has a dedicated butler service, complimentary mini-bar, air conditioning and amenities like WiFi, Live Television, among other things.&nbsp;

Mercer, a global consulting firm has released its annual list of the world's most expensive cities to live in, and once again  known for its iconic skyscrapers and beautiful skyline view, Hong Kong is the world’s most expensive place for employees sent abroad to work.  
Four Switzerland cities Zurich, Geneva, Basel and Bern ranked second to fifth place respectively in Mercer’s Cost of Living Survey 2022.  Apart from this, Israel’s Tel Aviv bagged the 6th place as the priciest place in the Middle East while New York City bagged the seventh spot. 
Asian cities that made it to the top 10 were Singapore, Tokyo, and Beijing. 
Coming to home, at number 127, Mumbai is the most expensive city in India followed by New Delhi at number 155.
At the other end of the table, the cheapest places for expats to live were Turkey’s Ankara, Bishkek in Kyrgyzstan and Dushanbe in Tajikistan.
