Last Presidential debate: commission adopts rule to mute mics

As Donald Trump and Joe Biden face off on Thursday for a final televised debate, each candidate will have their microphones cut off while the other is delivering responses to questions, under a new rule adopted by the debate commission, after the debacle during the first debate on September 30. The 90-minute debate is divided into six 15-minute segments, with each candidate granted two minutes to deliver uninterrupted remarks before proceeding to an open debate. The Commission on Presidential Debates on Monday said that the only candidate whose microphone will be open during these 2-minute periods is the candidate who has the floor, both mics will be unmuted for open discussion. Any interruptions by the other candidate will count toward their time.

While Biden called Trump a liar, the President hit back asking what has he done in his 47 years of political life. On the question of Trump's taxes, Biden&nbsp;charged that Trump paid less taxes than a school techer and asked him to show his tax papers after the NYT report that Trump paid just 750 dollars in taxes in 2016 and 2017. Rejecting the report, Trump insisted that he paid millions of dollars in taxes and proof will be out soon. Attacking Trump on Covid handling, Biden said that the President is only interested in opening everything without worrying about people's safety.
