Will the 'sun rise' for Hyderabad in a tough-looking season?

Can Hyderabad fix their middle-order conundrum and go all the way for their 2nd title?

Sunrisers&nbsp;Hyderabad have been a team to watch out for since making their debut in the cash-rich league in 2013. The Sunrisers&nbsp;made it to the playoffs in their very first season and became champions in 2016. Having&nbsp;made the playoffs in each of the previous 4 editions, the Sunrisers fell just 1 step short of clinching&nbsp;what would have been their 2nd title 2 years ago.
Their biggest strength is the explosive opening-pair of David Warner and Jonny&nbsp;Bairstow. The pair gives a flying start and even if one of them fails, Kane Williamson at number 3 is is SRH's&nbsp;Mr Dependable.&nbsp;
But their strength sometimes turns out to be their weakness too. Over-dependence on the openers leave them with an unexposed middle-order which often triggers a batting collapse in case the top order fails. &nbsp;
SRH have also given the captaincy reigns back to Warner this time around, the same man under which they won their only title. With Williamson in charge, their 4 overseas slots were pre-decided with Warner, Bairstow, Williamson and Rashid Khan. The move will free up one slot and Hyderabad can float in&nbsp;Mohammad Nabi or Fabien Allen to strengthen the middle-order whenever required, in place of Williamson.
Another area of&nbsp;strength is their bowling. With Bhuvneshwar&nbsp;Kumar,&nbsp;Khaleel Ahmed, Sandeep Sharma, Siddharth Kaul&nbsp;and&nbsp;Basil Thampi, they probably have the best Indian fast bowling group in the competition. With spinners&nbsp;Rashid&nbsp;Khan and&nbsp;Shahbaz Nadeem, and all-rounders&nbsp;Nabi,&nbsp;Vijay Shankar&nbsp;and an in-form Mitchell Marsh, Hyderabad have a luxury&nbsp;of playing around with different bowling combinations according to different surfaces.
The team&nbsp;clearly has several match-winners in their ranks and if Sunrisers&nbsp;can fix their middle-order conundrum, they for sure can title contenders.&nbsp;

Can Mumbai Indians go the distance for the 5th time?

Can the most successful team of the IPL&nbsp;sort their spin-woes to go the distance once again?

One IPL side which has made it a habit of starting off slow but peaking&nbsp;just at the right moment in the tournament is the Mumbai&nbsp;Indians. A&nbsp;solid nucleus of players has made sure that Mumbai&nbsp;reached the playoffs in 8 of the last 10 editions, winning 4 of them.
They may be the most successful&nbsp;IPL&nbsp;franchise, but things weren't the same to start with. Despite putting forward a brilliant show each year, MI failed to get their hands on the silverware in the first 5 editions.&nbsp;Their fortunes turned around when Rohit&nbsp;Sharma&nbsp;took over as the skipper. They were crowned the champions in his very first season in charge and once Mumbai&nbsp;got the taste of success, they were hungry for more.&nbsp;
MI won the IPL&nbsp;every alternate year after that and are the defending champions. Apart from their captain, all-rounders&nbsp;form their core group. Pandya&nbsp;brothers and Kieron&nbsp;Pollard have single-handedly&nbsp;decimated oppositions on several occasions. India's premier fast bowler Jasprit&nbsp;Bumrah&nbsp;will once again spearhead the pace attack and&nbsp;Mumbai&nbsp;has further strengthened it by roping in Trent Boult&nbsp;and&nbsp;Nathan Coulter-Nile. Though they will miss the services of IPL's&nbsp;highest wicket-taker Lasith&nbsp;Malinga who has opted out of this edition.
But the 4-time champions look a little weak when it comes to their&nbsp;spinners. Given the turning tracks in UAE, just&nbsp;Jayant Yadav and&nbsp;Rahul Chahar as front-line&nbsp;spinners may be an issue. Though&nbsp;Anukul Roy and Krunal Pandya&nbsp;are good 6th bowling options to have but the team can't completely depend on them.&nbsp;
Never the less, Mumbai&nbsp;have proved their critics wrong many times and they look too good of a side to not go a long way in IPL 2020.
