Abu Dhabi investment authority (ADIA) is in talks with Eyewear startup Lenskart to acquire a stake worth $500 million.&nbsp;
A report by Bloomberg says that ADIA is finalising an agreement to buy a mix of existing shares and new equity. This deal would value Lenskart at $4 billion. Quoting sources, the report says that the deal could be announced next week.&nbsp;
LensKart, co-founded by Peyush Bansal, is backed by KKR, Softbank, Temasek among others.&nbsp;
This round of funding would be amid a global rout for tech companies that's led to thousands of layoffs and hugely eroded valuations especially of startups.&nbsp;
There has been no official word from ADIA or Lenskart on the deal so far.&nbsp; Last year, Co-founder &amp; CEO Peyush Bansal had said that the company was profitable and was planning an IPO within 48 months.&nbsp;

The DMK got Rs 113 crore from grants and donations, Rs 23 crore as fees and subscriptions, Rs 12 crore as interest on bank deposits, and Rs 40 lakhs from other sources. The Aam Aadmi Party got Rs 16 crore from donations, Rs 0.8 crore as interest income, and Rs 0.1 crore as fees and subscriptions.

Early this month, upGrad's chairperson and co-founder Ronnie Screwvala also told that the company will increase its workforce to around 6,500-7,000 by August this year.

The Indian startup&nbsp;ecosystem is on a roll as we get two more names adding to the list of unicorns this week. Sharechat&nbsp;owner Mohalla&nbsp;tech and messaging platform Gupshup&nbsp;crossed the $1-billion-valuation-mark on Thursday after the latest round of fundings.
Mohalla Tech&nbsp;raised $502 million in a funding round led by Lightspeed Ventures and Tiger Global, pushing the startup&rsquo;s valuation to $2.1 billion.&nbsp;Gupshup&nbsp;achieved the coveted label after raising $100 million from Tiger Global, increasing its valuation ten-fold to $1.4 billion.
With these two names, India adds a total of six unicorns within this week.
