Malayalam actor Lena took to Instagram on February 27 to announce that she's married to Gaganyaan astronaut Group Captain Prasanth Balakrishnan Nair. The couple tied the knot on January 17, 2024, but kept it quiet until now.
Lena's revelation followed PM Modi's announcement of Nair's selection for India&rsquo;s Gaganyaan mission. She expressed pride in her husband's achievement and called it a historic moment for India and Kerala in an Instagram post.
Lena expressed her emotions in a touching message accompanied by a collage of photos showcasing herself and Prasanth Balakrishnan Nair. As per her Instagram post, the wedding ceremony was conducted in a traditional manner through an arranged marriage.
Sharing photos, she wrote, &lsquo;Today , 27 February, 2024 , our Prime Minister , Modi ji Awarded the First Indian Astronaut Wings to Indian Air Force Fighter Pilot ,Group Captain Prasanth Balakrishnan Nair . It is a historic moment of pride for our Country , our state of Kerala and Me personally. In order to maintain the officially required confidentiality, I was waiting for this announcement to let you know that I got married to Prasanth on 17 January, 2024 in a traditional ceremony through an arranged marriage.&rsquo;

In addition to Prasanth, the three astronauts slated for training are Group Captain Ajit Krishnan, Group Captain Angad Pratap, and Wing Commander Subhanshu Shukla. Gaganyaan represents India's inaugural human space flight mission, with training scheduled to occur at the Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre (VSSC) in Thumba, near Thiruvananthapuram. According to ISRO, the Gaganyaan program aims to demonstrate human spaceflight to Low Earth Orbit (LEO) in the near term and establish the groundwork for a sustainable Indian human space exploration initiative in the future.

The four astronauts are -- Prashanth Balakrishnan Nair, Angad Prathap, Ajit Krishnan, and Shubhanshu Shukla -- Modi said at the Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre (VSSC) at Thumba near the Kerala state capital.
He bestowed 'astronaut wings' to the four. The PM was at the VSSC to inaugurate three major technical facilities of the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO).

Before sending the crew, the mission is planning to a female robot in the first and second missions. For all this, the mission approximately costs Rs 9,023 crore.&nbsp;

The Indian Space Research Organisation launched the Flight Test Vehicle Abort Mission (TV-D1) on Saturday to carry out the test for the crew escape system that will be used for the maiden Indian human space flight Gaganyaan.
The space agency was successful in its second attempt after the first one was aborted a second before launch at the Satish Dhawan Space Centre at Sriharikota due to a snag in the rocket&rsquo;s ignition earlier in the day. The reason for the hold was &ldquo;identified and corrected&rdquo;, ISRO announced later.
