In a statement, she said, the past few days have been challenging, on every front, adding that there have been a lot of rumours and accusations, and a lot of unwarranted aspersions on her cast by the media.
Shilpa says she will continue to refrain from commenting on the case, as it is sub-judice, and asked fans and the media to stop attributing false quotes on her behalf.

A day after Mumbai Mayor Kishori Pednekar claimed that the third wave of Covid-19 has already arrived, particularly in Maharashtra, she retracted her statement.
The Mumbai&nbsp;Mayor was quoted as saying on Tuesday that the third wave &lsquo;is not coming, it is here&rsquo;.
Pednekar clarified she said that a fresh Covid wave is on &lsquo;our doorsteps&rsquo; an hence &lsquo;precautions are needed&rsquo;

She further added that Minister Nitin Raut had said that the third wave has come in Nagpur.
Her office also issued a press statement saying what she meant was that the third wave of Covid-19 was on the "threshold of Mumbai".
In the first six days of September, Mumbai had recorded over 28% of the total Covid-19 cases that it had reported during the entire last month, as per civic data.
The spike has left the Mumbai civic body BMC officials worried ahead of the festive season beginning on September 10 with the 'Ganesh Chaturthi'.
