A 37-year-old woman from Manipur has filed a complaint saying she raped by a mob while she was trying to flee her home as the ethnic violence broke out in state on May 3.&nbsp;
The woman has said in her FIR says that she was fleeing her home in Churachandpur district on May 3 with her children, her sister-in-law and her niece when she was raped by a group of five to six people.&nbsp;
She said that she had her niece on her back and was holding her children as they tried to escape mob frenzy. She added that after running for some distance, she stumbled and fell. Unable to get up, she asked her sister-in-law to run with the children and when she finally managed to get up, the woman was surround by 5-6 men. The woman said they first verbally abused her and then raped her.&nbsp;
The woman said she has been living in a relief camp since then and her health, physical and mental, took a major hit after the incident.&nbsp;
She also said that the trauma and fear of social stigma had prevented her from registering a complaint.&nbsp;

The officer said protesters blocked the traffic by placing the woman's body on the road on Wednesday evening.

Around 13 policemen were injured in clashes which erupted after a protest over the alleged gangrape and murder of a tribal woman in Madhya Pradesh's Indore district turned violent on Wednesday
Police lobbed tear gas shells and fired in the air when an agitation held by tribals over the death of a 23-year-old woman in the Indore district of Madhya Pradesh turned violent with protesters damaging vehicles of police and attacking police personnel, an official said.
The incident occurred at Badgonda police station, about three km away from Mhow town.
Police station in-charge Dharmendra Thakur said the woman, a resident of Khargone, was living and studying at Dhamnod for the last few years.
"Yadunandan Patidar, a resident of Gawli Palasiya village, came in contact with her last year and brought her to his house here (Badgonda)," he said.
The woman died on March 15. As the news of her death reached her parents, they and members of various tribal groups gathered at the police station and staged a protest, Thakur said.
The officer said protesters blocked the traffic by placing the woman's body on the road on Wednesday evening.

"Some of them attacked policemen and damaged vehicles of police, who reacted with a mild lathi charge. However, as the mob went on a rampage, police fired about a dozen rounds in the air and also lobbed tear gas shells," he said.
Details about injuries, if any, are not available.
Police personnel are deployed in large numbers in the area and the situation is becoming normal, Thakur added.

In a horrendous incident of rape from Bihar's Kaimur district, a minor girl was allegedly gangraped by four boys and then a school headmaster from whom she sought help. According to a Times of India report the rape survivor in her complaint claimed the four boys including two of her classmates abducted and raped her in turns and fled the scene after being spotted by a man, whom the police have identified as a school headmaster.
The girl hoped the man will rescue her, but instead, he also raped her, the report added.
Bhabhua SDPO Sunil Kumar Singh told TOI that the girl also claimed that the headmaster himself dropped the girl to her house telling the parents that their daughter was raped by four boys. The girl narrated her ordeal to her parents after the man left, SDPO added.
Meanwhile, police have arrested the 55-year-old primary school headmaster and one of the four juveniles has been taken to a remand home. Search continues for remaining juveniles.
The November 26 incident took place when the girl stepped out in a nearby field where she was allegedly raped by the four boys and her headmaster.

A case of alleged gangrape in Ghaziabad has turned out to be a false allegation by the woman. Uttar Pradesh police said this on 20 October 2022, according to NDTV.
The recent case had shocked the national capital region (NCR) as it had been claimed that the woman was found wrapped in a jute bag with her hands and legs tied. She had claimed to have been kidnapped and gangraped by 5 men who had also inserted iron rods in her private parts.
Following the complaint, cops had arrested 4 of the 5 men named by her.
UP police said that for the two days that the woman claimed to have been gangraped, she was actually staying with two friends. Cops called it a conspiracy to frame the five men due to a property dispute.
Three of the woman's associates have reportedly been detained. One of them is accused of paying someone off for "more publicity" of the rape case.
The 36-year-old woman was found on 19 October and taken to government hospitals in Ghaziabad and Meerut, but reportedly refused to undergo medical examinations. She was later taken to GTB hospital in Delhi.

Father preserved the body of her 21 years old girl for 44 days, who was allegedly gang pared and murdered by Ranjeet Thackrey and two of his aides. He preserved her body in a salt pit to demand justice.
The incident happened in Maharashtra’s Nandurbar district when the body of a girl was found hanging on a tree 20 km away from her home on August 1. The police registered a case under suicide after a post-mortem conducted at Nandurbar District Hospital had ruled out any foul play. However, the family challenged that the girl was gang raped and murdered by four men.
The deceased’s family buried her body in a makeshift grave which was covered with sealed with salt as a protest to demand justice. The family told Indian Express  “If the body has decomposed, it would give another reason to the police to deny us justice. So, I had to preserve the body hoping for a second post-mortem that would bring the truth out,” the girl’s father told the paper.
Dhadgaon police registered a case against the three accused and arrested them, only after the case escalated.
 
Deputy Superintendent of Police of Dhadgaon, Shrikant Bhumre, told India Express “We were satisfied with the details and statements given by the victim’s family members and relatives. Acting on the complaint, we have today arrested three suspects—Ranjeet Thackrey, Sunil Valvi and Amar Valvi—all residents of Vavi village. At present, it is difficult to say anything. We are carrying out a probe.”
 
The fresh autopsy of the body will be video recorded in presence of the magistrate.

Eleven convicts had been sentenced to life imprisonment by a special CBI court in Mumbai in January 2008. The verdict was upheld by the Bombay High Court.
After having spent over 15 years in jail, one of the convicts reportedly approached the Supreme Court for premature release. The apex court asked the Gujarat government to decide the matter, and subsequently a committee was formed.
The panel recommended remission for the 11 convicts, and the state government accepted it. On 15 August, the 11 convicts walked out of the Godhra sub-jail.

On April 4, a class 9 student was allegedly gangraped at a birthday party at the house of a TMC leader's son in Hanskhali in Nadia district. She died a few hours after the incident.

A tribal girl was allegedly gangraped by a group of around 5 men on April 14.&nbsp;The incident occurred when the victim and her friend were returning from a Charak Mela, or fair, at Adityapur in Birbhum district. The assailants allegedly beat up the victim's friend, and then took her to the bank of a river to rape her.
The victim is being treated at the&nbsp;Bolpur Sub-divisional Hospital, as per news agency PTI.&nbsp;The police are trying to take the girl's help in preparing sketches of the accused.
