The French love their baguette and have regained the Guinness World Record for making the longest baguette in the world. They had lost the title in 2019 to Italy and it took them 5 years to regain it.
French bakers set a new Guinness World Record when they made a 140.5m (461ft)-long baguette in Suresnes, in the suburbs of Paris. Read on to know all the deets.
<h3>French bakers set Guinness World Record</h3>
The French bakers beat the previous record by more than 10 metres. It was made during an event for the French Confederation of Bakers and Pastry Chefs.&nbsp;
Confederation President Dominique Anract said, "A record for the longest handcrafted baguette requires true spirit and collective sportsmanship," adding, "Bread is an engine of performance, our baguette is an essential part of our gastronomic heritage."
According to Guinness rules, the iconic baguette, synonymous with French culture, must maintain a minimum thickness of 5 centimetres (just under 2 inches) throughout its length. This requirement aligns with the standard dimensions of a baguette, which typically measures around 60 centimeters in length, weighs approximately 250 grams (about half a pound), and consists solely of wheat flour, water, salt, and yeast.
<h3>How much ingredients were used?</h3>
The bakers revealed that they began kneading dough for the 152 kilogram (335 pound) delicacy &mdash; which required 90 kilos of flour, 60 litres of water, 1.2 kilos of salt and 1.2 kilos of yeast at around 3 a.m. It took them 10 hours to make.
After Guinness officials certified the effort, some of the bread was cut and handed out to interested onlookers, while the rest was distributed to the homeless.

A Danish man has managed to bag an unusual Guinness World Record (GWR) for stuffing 68 matchsticks into his nostrils.
In a social media post, GWR wrote, "Peter von Tangen Buskov from Denmark set a world record for the 'most matches held in the nose'. He is the first person to hold this record and was required to achieve a minimum of 54 to earn it. 'Surprisingly it didn't really hurt,' Mr Buskov."
Tangen Buskov also talked about the unusual record and said, "I have fairly large nostrils and quite stretchy skin. I'm sure that helped a lot."
He said the plan for the matchstick challenge was a bit random, and that he never had the urge to insert anything in his nose, even as a child.
Buskov&nbsp;told GWR that his nostrils were at maximum capacity with 68 matches, but he also doesn't rule out the possibility of extending his record in future.&nbsp;
"I never thought I would get a record myself. I always try to look for the interesting and peculiar aspects of life. There are so many amazing things to experience, see or do, if we just stay open for it," he said.

An Armenian man has created a fresh world record for the most number of pull-ups from a helicopter.
Armenian athlete Hamazasp Hloyan completed 32 pull-ups in 60 seconds in the capital city of Yerevan while hanging from a helicopter, Guinness World Record said.
The world-record body also shared the video from November 5, 2022, when Hamazas performed 32 pull-ups in a minute's time.&nbsp;
Previously, Belgian athlete Stan Bruininck had set the record for most pull-ups at 25.

In record-breaking news, a Meerut-based jeweller has created Guinness World Record for setting 17,524 diamonds on a watch. The jeweller behind this marvellous job is Harshit Bansal who is the founder and CEO of Renani Jewels.&nbsp;
It took around 11 months to make this watch which is made of 17,512 white diamonds and 12 black. The watch weighs 373.03 grams and 54.70-carat diamonds have been used to make this watch.&nbsp;
The name of this watch is Srinkia which means 'the watch of good fortunes'.
Speaking about the watch, Bansal said that his goal was clear to make a classy watch that is easy to wear. Moreover, Bansal has broken the record of Hong Kong-based Aaron Shum Jewelry Ltd., who had achieved the record in December 2018 by making a watch with 15,858 diamonds.&nbsp;
Bansal had created a record earlier too in 2020 with a ring that he had made with 12,638 natural diamonds set in it.

Krishnapriya then decided to compensate for her mistake by sending a handwritten letter to her brother. 
She initially started writing on an A4 sheet but soon realised that she would be needing much more than that.
After completion, the total length of the letter stood at 434-metre and took 12 hours.
Krishnapriya said that writing the letter was not pre-planned and was a co-incidence.
Krishnapriya has now already sent a notification of her feat to the Guinness World Record and applied under the record for the longest letter ever written.
