In a setback to the ruling Congress&rsquo; plan to bypass the Centre&rsquo;s farm laws, Chhattisgarh Governor Anusuiya Uikey returned the file sent by the party requesting permission to convene a special assembly session. The state government had sent a proposal to hold the session on October 27 and 28 to introduce a farm Bill that would circumvent the three agriculture Bills passed in Parliament, sources said.
Governor Uikey&nbsp;questioned the need for a special session, citing the monsoon session that concluded 58 days ago. Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel said his government would soon respond to her objections.

Shiv Sena welcomes Amit Shah's stand on Maha Guv-CM letter row

Shiv Sena&rsquo;s Sanjay Raut on Sunday welcomed Union Home Minister Amit Shahs remark that Maharashtra Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari could have chosen his words better while writing to Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray on reopening places of worship in the state.
Koshyari recently wrote to Thackeray on reopening places of worship in the state and asked if the Shiv Sena president had "suddenly turned secular," triggering a war of words.
While talking to a TV channel, Raut thanked the Union Home Minister for his stand on the matter and said that Shah has spoken with responsibility and caution, in line with the Constitution of India. Raut also dismissed speculation that Shah was being soft on the Shiv Sena and denied a political connotation.
