Telugu actor Allu Arjun was arrested in connection with a tragic stampede during the premiere of his film Pushpa 2: The Rule at Hyderabad&rsquo;s Sandhya Theatre, which claimed the life of a 39-year-old woman and critically injured her minor son. A Hyderabad court ordered a 14-day judicial remand for the actor.
Arjun was taken into custody from his Jubilee Hills residence amid heightened security and brought to the Chikkadpally Police Station, accompanied by his family, including filmmaker father Allu Arvind. Viral footage captured Arjun wearing a promotional hoodie with the phrase "Flower nahi, fire hai mein" as police escorted him away.

There were frenetic scenes outside a hotel in Hyderabad after a large crowd gathered for free haleem on the first day of Ramadan.&nbsp;
The Azebo Hotel in Malakpet, inaugurated on the same day, had announced free haleem on March 12 following which a large number of people gathered in the area.

She was staying with her husband and son in Australia.
According to Uppal MLA Bandari Lakshma Reddy, as the deceased hailed from his constituency, and after getting information he met her parents today.
The Legislator told PTI that on the request of the woman's parents he wrote a letter to the MEA to bring her mortal remains to Hyderabad.
The MLA said he also informed the office of Union Minister G Kishan Reddy in this regard.
The woman's husband flew to Hyderabad and handed over the child to his in-laws here.
The MLA further said that according to the information provided by her parents their son-in-law "confessed" of having killed their daughter.
The Victoria Police in a statement dated March 9, on its website, said "Homicide Squad detectives are investigating after a deceased person was located in Buckley, near Winchelsea. Officers located the deceased person on Mount Pollock Road about midday." A second crime scene has been established at a residential address on Mirka Way, Point Cook and is believed to be connected to the homicide, it said, adding the investigators are treating the death as suspicious.
At this stage in the investigation, it is believed the parties involved are known to one another and the offender may have fled overseas, the statement said.&nbsp;

A Hyderabad woman stalked and kidnapped a TV anchor after she was conned by a man through a fake matrimonial profile.

Fake matrimonial profile, ₹40 lakh scam, and a promise of good returns resulted in stalking and kidnapping of a TV anchor by a woman. On Saturday, Uppal police arrested a 31-year-old businesswoman along with her four accomplices for their alleged involvement in the cyber stalking and kidnapping of a man named Pranav Sistla.&nbsp;
The woman allegedly used Apple AirTag to stalk the man and took help from four people to kidnap the TV anchor. Police said that the 31-year-old woman is identified as Bhogoreddy Trisha. She runs a digital marketing company and is a managing director of five other companies.&nbsp;
All of this began two years ago when Trisha came in contact with an unknown person identified as Chaitanya Reddy through the Bharat Matrimony website. The man used TV anchor Pranav Sistla's photos to con the woman.&nbsp;
As Trisha started talking to the conman on WhatsApp and Instagram, he allegedly asked her to invest some amount in his business with a promise of good returns.&nbsp;
Trisha agreed to the deal and transferred ₹40 lakh after which the conman started ignoring her texts. This made the woman realise that she was defrauded by the man. After this, she dialled the contact number that was provided on the matrimonial website which connected her to Pranav Sistla.&nbsp;
Sistla told Trisha that the conman used his pictures to create a fake matrimonial website and it was not him who duped her of money. He also informed Trisha about lodging a cyber complaint for the same as well.&nbsp;
However, Trisha continued texting Sistla and that led him to block her number. As Trisha's number was blocked, she came up with the plan of abducting Sistla.&nbsp;
She made an office employee of her company place an Apple AirTag on Sistla's vehicle to track his movements. On February 11, the hired men abducted Sistla and took him to Trisha's office. They subjected him to physical assault.&nbsp;
Sistla then promised to respond to Trisha's messages and calls. After that, he was let off. Soon after this, Sistla rushed to the police station to report the incident and a case was registered against Trisha. She has been arrested and will now be sent to the court.&nbsp;

A Hyderabad businesswoman, who allegedly stalked and later kidnapped a TV music channel anchor, has been arrested. She kidnapped Pranav Sistla after a man, impersonating him, duped her of ₹40 lakh, police said on Saturday.
The woman, Bhogireddy Trisha, the managing director of five startup companies, had allegedly installed a tracking device on the TV anchor's car to stalk him and monitor his movements, according to India Today.
Thirty-one-year-old Trisha saw the photos of the TV anchor on a matrimony website and started chatting with the account holder, who was impersonating Sistla, two years ago. Gradually, the two became familiar with each other and started chatting over WhatsApp and Instagram.
The accused, Chaitanya Reddy, later asked ₹40 lakh from Trisha as an investment amount and promised a great return on it as well. However, after receiving the money, Reddy started avoiding her calls and messages following which, she contacted him via phone. But, the story took a twist after she found out that it was a fake account of the TV anchor. Sistla also told her that he had lodged an FIR in Cyber Crime against the account.
After getting constant unwanted messages from Trisha, Sistla blocked her number. &nbsp;However, Trisha, who was described by the police as &ldquo;appearing to be an intimacy-seeking stalker&rdquo;, planned to kidnap the anchor to &ldquo;sort out things&rdquo;.
She made her office colleague join her in this crime by offering him money in return. The man installed an Apple AirTag on Sistla's car to keep an eye on his movements.&nbsp;
On February 11, Trisha hired four people to kidnap the anchor and bring Sistla to her office. He was later assaulted by the goons in Trisha's office.
Fearing for his life, the TV anchor agreed to respond to the woman's calls and only then was he let off, police said.
He later lodged a complaint with Uppal police station, and a case was registered under 363 (kidnapping), 341 (wrongful restraint), 342 (wrongful confinement), and relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).
During the course of the investigation, the police apprehended the accused woman along with the four men who were hired to carry out the abduction.
Further investigation is on.&nbsp;

The woman had allegedly installed a tracking device on the TV anchor's car to stalk him and monitor his movements, they said.
The 31-year-old woman, who runs a digital marketing business, saw the photos of the TV anchor on a matrimony website and started chatting with the account holder two years ago. However, she later realised that the account holder was using the TV anchor's photo as the profile picture on the matrimony site, instead of his own photo.
She then searched through the profile and found the phone number, which belonged to the anchor.
She contacted the anchor through an instant messaging app but was informed by him that some unknown person had used his photo and created a fake account on the matrimony site, and that he had lodged a complaint in the Cyber Crime police station about it.
However, the woman continued to send messages to the anchor.
He then blocked her number, police said.
The woman, who was determined to marry the anchor, planned to kidnap him, thinking she could get things sorted out, police said.
Accordingly, she hired four persons to kidnap the anchor and also installed a tracking device on the victim's car to watch his movements.
On February 11, the four hired men kidnapped the victim and took him to the office of the woman and beat him up badly, police said.
Fearing for his life, the TV anchor agreed to respond to the woman's calls and only then was he let off, police said.
He later lodged a complaint with Uppal police station, and a case was registered under 363 (kidnapping), 341 (wrongful restraint), 342 (wrongful confinement), and relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).

A 28-year-old &nbsp;Hyderabad man lost his life during a surgery to enhance his smile.
The man, Laxmi Narayana Vinjam, died while undergoing the 'smile designing' ahead of his wedding which was scheduled for next month. The procedure took place at the FMS International Dental Clinic in Hyderabad's Jubilee Hills on February 16, police said.
Vinjam's father, Ramulu Vinjam, has alleged that he died of anesthesia overdose by the surgeons. He further said that after his son fainted during the surgery, the staff called him and asked him to come to the clinic.&nbsp;
"We rushed him to a nearby hospital, where the doctors declared him dead on arrival," he said.
The family of the man was not aware of the surgery.&nbsp;
"He had no health issues, the doctors are responsible for his death," he said.
After the complaint by the family, a case has been registered against the clinic for negligence.

During the celebrations on Thursday evening, Vistex CEO Sanjay Shah and his colleague entered into an iron cage, which was to be lowered from a height, when the iron chain supporting it broke on one side, and both of them fell, they said.
They were taken to the hospital but Sanjay Shah died while undergoing treatment, and his colleague's condition is serious, the police said.
A case was registered against the Film City event management authorities based on a complaint made by another official of the company, the police added.

The video was widely shared on social media. This incident occured after the fuel shortage in multiple areas of the country due to the strike by truck drivers against the center's new hit-and-run law on January 1.
In the new law, severe penalties are imposed on drivers who flee accident scenes. After recieving the assurance by the center on Jnauary 3, &nbsp;truckers were asked by the All-India Motor Transport Congress (AIMTC) to call off the strike. As per the new hit-and-run law, there is up to 10 years in jail and/or a fine for drivers involved in fatal accidents who fail to report the incident to the authorities.

Reports noted that the fire started at around 5:30 pm from a flexi on the rooftop of the hospital building.
Five fire tenders rushed to the spot and the inferno was brought under control. Reports said the fire on the rooftoop had not engulfed the floors of the building.&nbsp;

&ldquo;Within no time, the fire engulfed other floors of the building and caused six deaths,&rdquo; police said.&nbsp;
The deadly fire has now been brought under control after multiple fire tenders were deployed to the spot.

A 16-year-old girl was allegedly gang-raped by three men at her house here triggering protests on Tuesday demanding stern punishment for the accused.
The girl in her complaint lodged with Meerpet police station named three men for sexually assaulting her at her residence on Monday, police said.
As per the complaint, the assault took place on Sunday when the men, allegedly inebriated, forcefully barged into the girl's house. The victim was with her brother who was held hostage at knifepoint.
According to a report by India Today, the accused took turns to sexually assault the minor and fled the spot when she cried for help.

In a shocking incident, a Hyderabad man attacked a young woman on the road and tore off her clothes in the city's Jawahar Nagar area, NDTV reported.
The man was reportedly accompanied by his mother who watched as he stripped the woman.&nbsp;
According to the news outlet, the incident took place on August 6 when the woman was returning from a shop and was intercepted by the accused. He allegedly touched her inappropriately and when she objected to it, he became aggressive and tore her clothes.&nbsp;
The shocking case was captured on CCTV installed nearby.&nbsp;
The police have arrested the man and have filed an FIR under various sections, holding his mother responsible for not stopping him.&nbsp;

High drama prevailed in Hyderabad on Thursday as Union Minister and Telangana BJP president G Kishan Reddy along with other party leaders sat on the road after being stopped by police from proceeding to inspect a site of the BRS government's housing scheme for the poor.
Kishan Reddy sat on the road in Outer Ring Road miffed at being prevented from heading to the housing site.
"Am I a criminal? Am I a terrorist? I have a right to go anywhere in India," Kishan Reddy told Commissioner of Rachakonda Police D S Chauhan who tried to persuade the Union Minister and other leaders to vacate the place.
Kishan Reddy was later physically lifted by police and taken away from the place to a vehicle.
He had announced a plan to visit the state government's two-bedroom housing site at Batasingaram.&nbsp;
Kishan Reddy had earlier condemned the "house arrest" of BJP leaders by police in view of the planned visit to the two-bedroom housing site.

The person on the two-wheeler was identified as an employee of Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation Bala Chander Yadav.

A startling road accident in Telangana's Hyderabad has been caught on camera.
A CCTV captured a BMW SUV hitting a two-wheeler in the Banjara Hills police station area in Hyderabad in the early hours of July 7.
The person on the two-wheeler was identified as an employee of Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation Bala Chander Yadav.
The car was being driven by a woman who was allegedly inebriated, a News9 report said. The victim was injured, and the accused is yet to be caught, as per news agency ANI.

Following a complaint by the owner of the neighbouring building, Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation's (GHMC) disaster relief force was rushed to the area, it said.

In a tremendously risky task, a building owner in Hyderabad's Chintal area deployed hydraulic jacks to raise his multi-storey structure as he wanted to increase it above road level, the Times of India reported.
Astonishingly, the task was being carried out with 16 people inside the G+2 building. As soon as the hydraulic jacks attempted to lift the building, it leaned, triggering panic among the residents. Fortunately, no one was hurt.&nbsp;
Following a complaint by the owner of the neighbouring building, Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation's (GHMC) disaster relief force was rushed to the area, it said.
The building was immediately evacuated.&nbsp;
Meanwhile the owner of the building was booked for lifting old building under IPC section 336 (act endangering life or personal safety of others), the report added.&nbsp;
