India have become the new No. 1 Test side after overtaking Australia in the latest ICC annual rankings update.&nbsp;
Rohit Sharma's men ended Australia's reign after 15 months at the top of the ICC rankings. The two sides will face each other in the World Test Championship final next month, and India had recently beaten the Aussies 2-1 in Border-Gavaskar Trophy.&nbsp;
Before the annual rankings update, Australia were top with 122 points while India trailed them by 3 points. But now, with series completed since May 2020 only taken into account, India have 121 point and they have leapfrogged the Kangaroos, who are at 116.
Team India now occupy the top spot in both Tests &amp; T20Is, while they are ranked 3rd in ODIs.

Suryakumar Yadav is also the No. 1 batter in T20s currently, with 908 rating points.

India's Suryakumar Yadav has been named the ICC Men's T20I Cricketer of the Year.
In 2022, Surya amassed 1164 runs, including 2 brilliant hundreds and 9 fifties from 31 matches. He became only the second player to score 1000+ T20 International runs in a calendar year, averaging 46.56 with an incredible strike rate of 187.43 last year.
The 32-year-old is also the current World No. 1 in the T20 rankings for batters. He currently has 908 rating points to his name, only second to the all-time 915-point record held by Dawid Malan. And he can very well break the Englishman's record in the upcoming 3-match series against New Zealand.

India's Shafali Verma has gained a spot and is currently 6th in the standings, with Jemimah Rodrigues in 9th position.

Having won back-to-back matches against England, India have taken an unaccessible 2-0 lead in the ongoing 3-match T20I series against the Three Lions. After a superb show in South Africa T20Is, Dinesh Karthik made a massive jump of 108 spots to 87th position in the latest ICC T20I Rankings.
Karthik emerged as a prolific match-winner for India during the five-match series against the Proteas. The 37-year-old Tamil Nadu batter took India out of shambles in the Rajkot T20I and slammed his maiden T20I fifty after 16 years.

Meanwhile, Ishan Kishan is the only Indian player in the top 10 T20I rankings. He gained one position to 6th after he scored 206 runs in five T20Is at an average of 41 against South Africa. 
Moreover, Pakistan captain Babar Azam continues to lead the T20I rankings followed by his compatriot Mohammed Rizwan and Aiden Markram, who missed India T20Is after testing positive for covid-19. While India's regular captain Rohit Sharma and former skipper Virat Kohli are at 18th and 21st spots respectively.

Indian skipper Virat&nbsp;Kohli&nbsp;slumped to the 5th position in the latest ICC&nbsp;Test rankings for batsmen released on Wednesday. Kohli&nbsp;who scored 11 and 72 in the first Test in Chennai was earlier ranked 4th.
His English&nbsp;counterpart Joe Root, however, rose to 3rd after 3 consecutive hundreds, converting 2 of those into double tons. In the Test rankings for bowlers, Ashwin&nbsp;and Bumrah both climbed one spot to be 7th and 8th respectively.
James Anderson was probably the biggest gainer who leapfrogged to 3rd place from 6th, which is now his highest Test ranking since the start of the World Test Championship. While New&nbsp;Zealand's Kane Williamson rules the batsmen ranking, Australian bowler Pat Cummins&nbsp;sits at the top of the bowling ranking.&nbsp;
