'Jaane Tu... Ya Jaane Na', which marked the Bollywood debut of Imran Khan, was released in cinemas sixteen years ago, on July 4. The film has since become a beloved cult classic that resonates with audiences till date.
To commemorate its 16th anniversary, the production house released a video featuring cast singing the film's song, evoking nostalgia for fans.
The official social media handles of Aamir Khan Productions, which produced the film, shared a special video with the caption,'16 years and we are still singing this song for everyone we love (red heart emoji).'
The film's primary cast sings the song 'Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Naa' in the video. It seems like they've all sung the song separately in different spaces, which has been put togther as a coherent whole.
Imran, known as Jai, leads the video, reclining on a beach in a white t-shirt under a red-and-blue shirt. Genelia D'Souza, as Aditi, follows in an olive green jacket over a black top, with silver hoops and her hair tied back.
Manjari Fadnis, playing Meghna, appears next, seated in a room wering a yellow dress. While Imran,Genelia, and Manjari have been seen regularly since the film's release, the unexpected appearance of the other three gang member adds a delightful surprise.
Jiggy, aka Nirav Mehta, joins in singing with a fresh appearance,wearing an olive-green shirt, a white hat, and long hair, set against a backdrop of palm trees. Bombs, aka Alishka Varde, appears transformed in a grey sleeveless top with coordinating earrings and nose rings. The most surprising transformation comes from Rotlu, aka Karan Makhija, seen in a maroon T-shirt with a bald head. Sugandha Mishra also makes an appearance in a blue top.
In the film's climax at the airport, CSF inspector(Murli Sharma) arrives after the gang finishes singing the song. With a smile, he warns Imran's Jai,' Sing this song again next time, and I'll shoot you,' recalling his memorable dialogue to Jai when he proposed to Aditi (Genelia). Pakistan's jailed former prime minister Imran Khan has said that he is ready to hold talks but not to strike a "deal" with anyone who has stolen his party's mandate in the February 8 general election.
Talking to journalists at the high-security Adiala jail in Rawalpindi on Friday, the 71-year-old Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf founder asserted that negotiations were held only with adversaries and therefore the talks should be held with those who were the biggest opponents of PTI at present, apparently a reference to the military establishment, the Dawn newspaper reported on Saturday.
Underlining that he had been saying for 18 months that he was ready to hold negotiations but not to strike a deal, Khan reiterated that his party would hold talks with everyone but the three parties, the Geo News reported.
"Someone who wants to leave the country or avoid imprisonment makes a deal," he said, in an apparent reference to PML-N leader Nawaz Sharif.
Khan named Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur, Leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly Omar Ayub and Leader of the Opposition in Senate Shibli Faraz for holding negotiations.
&ldquo;I have proposed these three names for talks and not for a deal," he said.
The February 8 general elections delivered a fractured mandate. Independent candidates, a majority of them backed by Khan's PTI, won 93 seats in the 336-member National Assembly. Former three-time prime minister Nawaz Sharif&rsquo;s Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) won 75 seats while the Bilawal Zardari Bhutto-led Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) came third with 54 seats. The Muttahida Qaumi Movement Pakistan (MQM-P) won 17 seats.
Khan&rsquo;s PTI party has maintained that the powerful establishment had favoured Sharif&rsquo;s PML-N and that the Election Commission of Pakistan deliberately used a different form to declare the results to &ldquo;steal the mandate&rdquo; that belonged to it.
The PML-N struck a post-poll deal with Bhutto&rsquo;s PPP and four smaller parties and formed the government in March.
Khan reiterated that he was &ldquo;always ready for talks, but it could only take place when their stolen mandate was returned and innocent imprisoned workers were released,&rdquo; the Dawn newspaper quoted PTI&rsquo;s media department as saying on Friday.
Without naming anyone, Khan told reporters that "they" were going to lodge the fourth case against him concerning the Toshakhana gifts. They should make whatever the cases they wanted all at once, he added.
Khan's statement came a day after PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan claimed that his party was neither holding dialogues with anyone nor had any special message for talks.
Gohar, speaking to journalists outside Rawalpindi&rsquo;s Adiala Jail, said that the former premier was facing "politically motivated" cases. He added that the PTI founder requested the judiciary to give judgements on his cases at the earliest, the Geo News reported.
&ldquo;Ali Amin Gandapur, Omar Ayub Khan and Shibli Faraz have been given the go-ahead to hold talks, but not to strike a deal,&rdquo; Gohar said, adding that they were to talk to anyone except three political parties.

According to a report from Peepingmoon.com, Imran is entering a new chapter in his professional journey with the support of his maternal uncle and mentor, Aamir Khan. Aamir played a crucial role in Imran's early career, introducing him to audiences as a child actor in 'Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak' in 1988, and later as a leading man in 'Jaane Tu... Ya Jaane Na' in 2008.
The report mentioned that he will star in &lsquo;Happy Patel&rsquo; which will be Vir Das's directorial debut. Imran and Vir previously starred together in &lsquo;Delhi Belly,&rsquo; which was also produced by Aamir Khan.

Actor Imran Khan is happy that his comeback project has been delayed indefinitely and may not resurrect ever. The actor was expected to star in Abbas Tyrewala&rsquo;s spy thriller. However, the project has been put on the back burner, with chances of being shelved forever. Khan whose potential comeback has been the talk of the town for quite some time nnow, recently confessed that he is actually glad that the project might not release.
Speaking to Film Companion, Imran Khan shared details about the project and said, &ldquo;We started talking about it in July of last year. Abbas Tyrewala called me up out of the blue. I was in San Francisco for a holiday, and he told me that he had written this amazing thing. It was a cool story, and he asked me to do it together. The project was in early development at Hotstar. This was before the acquisition. In the latter part of last year, Hotstar got amalgamated with Jio, and somewhere within all of this, that project felt wayside.&rdquo;
He added, &ldquo;All things said and done, that thing fell into limbo, and it doesn&rsquo;t look like it will be resurrected. I am glad that that thing ended up not coming together.&rdquo; Reasoning it out, he said, &ldquo;I don&rsquo;t want to play a character who solves problems with a gun.&rdquo;
 Imran expressed dismay over violence being celebrated in cinema, not just in India but globally. He said, "I have a sense of where cinema is going globally. There is a glamorization, fetishization, and sexualization of violence that makes me uncomfortable. I have grown up watching action films. My heroes were Sylvester Stallone, Arnold Schwarzenegger, and Indiana Jones. But there is a way to portray violence, and this is not a moral thing. Violence and action are a language within cinema, but when we communicate it and portray it in films, there is a way to do it where you feel the weight of it."
Khan added, &ldquo;We have started making films where heroes will just go in and go boom and boom. They make it cool and sexy, and that makes me uncomfortable.&rdquo;

Pakistan&rsquo;s jailed former prime minister Imran Khan's party on Saturday alleged that his nephew Hassan Niazi has been "abducted" from military custody and shifted to an undisclosed location to put pressure on him.
The development comes days after Khan, 71, alleged that the Pakistan Army chief General Asim Munir was directly responsible for the imprisonment of his wife Bushra Bibi.
Over 100 Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leaders and workers have been in the Army's custody facing military trials for their alleged involvement in attacking key military installations in May last year following the arrest of Imran Khan in a corruption case.
Khan, the founder of PTI, is facing more than 100 cases and has been lodged at the Adiala Jail in Rawalpindi for over eight months now.
"We strongly condemn the abduction of Imran Khan's nephew Hassan Niazi and another young PTI leader Ibad Farooq from military captivity. We want the Supreme Court to ensure their immediate release and hold kidnappers accountable," PTI spokesperson Raoof Hasan said in a statement.
The spokesperson voiced great concerns over the shifting of both PTI leaders Hassan to an unknown place and said that around 100 innocent citizens have been kept in illegal military custody under the guise of a "May 9 false flag operation", who were being subjected to political revenge.
"The inhuman treatment being meted out with the young PTI leaders is purely political because they have been facing the worst state oppression and brutality courageously for the last 10 months," he said.
He said that the abduction of Niazi and Farooq was an open attack on the sanctity of law and justice and a violation of basic human and constitutional rights. "The trial of civilians under military laws is unconstitutional." The spokesperson further said it is shameful and condemnable to target Khan's nephew Hassan Niazi as political revenge to put pressure on the unlawfully incarcerated PTI founding leader.
He went on to say that coercive and shameful tactics are being used against Ibad Farooq to punish his brother for contesting by-elections and to keep him away from the electoral process.
The spokesperson demanded that the Supreme Court of Pakistan should take notice of the enforced disappearance and abduction of Hasan Niazi and Ibad Farooq, and ensure their earliest recovery and hold the abductors accountable.
Earlier, Khan alleged that General Munir was directly involved in the sentence handed down to his wife Bushra Bibi.
"If anything happens to my wife, I will not spare Asim Munir; I will not spare Asim Munir as long as I am alive. I will expose his unconstitutional and illegal steps," he had threatened.&nbsp;

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf founder and jailed former prime minister Imran Khan on Wednesday alleged that Army chief General Asim Munir was directly responsible for the imprisonment of his wife Bushra Bibi.
Bushra Bibi, 49, was convicted in a corruption case as well as in the case of illegal marriage with Khan, 71, and is currently held in detention at their Bani Gala residence in the suburbs of Islamabad.
The PTI leader in a conversation with journalists at Adiala Jail where he is currently incarcerated hurled allegations on the army chief, according to a long post uploaded on Khan's official X account.
&ldquo;General Asim Munir is directly involved in the sentence awarded to my wife,&rdquo; Khan said, adding that the judge who convicted her said that he was forced to make the decision.
&ldquo;If anything happens to my wife, I will not leave Asim Munir, I will not leave Asim Munir as long as I am alive. I will expose his unconstitutional and illegal steps,&rdquo; he threatened.
Khan said there was a law of the jungle in the country and all was being done by the &ldquo;king of the jungle&rdquo;. &ldquo;If the king of the jungle wants, all the cases of Nawaz Sharif are forgiven, and when he wants, we are punished in three cases in five days,&rdquo; he alleged.
Khan also said that the economy would stabilise not through the International Monetary Fund (IMF) loans but by investment. &ldquo;Due to the law of the jungle, there will be no investment in the country. It is good that Saudi Arabia is coming but investment will come once there is rule of law in the country,&rdquo; he said.
He also referred to the recent reported clash between police and army in Bahawalnagar area of Punjab and said that the &ldquo;police were thrashed&rdquo; by violating the law, but the IG (inspector general police) and Viceroy, who oppressed our people, apologised from those who had thrashed the police.
Khan said the Viceroy said after the incident that &ldquo;they (police) are our brothers&rdquo;. He went on to say that &ldquo;such treatment is done to slaves and not to brothers&rdquo; because those having power thrashed the police and also forced to apologise.
He also said that PTI was being stopped from contesting in the by-elections. &ldquo;At this time, standing in front of oppression is Jihad. Our workers have to protect each vote, guard the vote,&rdquo; the former premier said.
So far the army has not responded to the serious allegations.

Former Pakistan prime minister Imran Khan's jail security measures at the Adiala Jail in Rawalpindi are costing a hefty monthly bill of over Rs 1.2 million (12 lakhs), according to prison authorities.
According to the report submitted by the jail superintendent to the Lahore High Court (LHC), the specialised facilities provided to Khan, 71, within the prison premises include a separate CCTV camera system installed for Rs 500,000, distinct from the system overseeing the 7,000 other prisoners.
Khan's meals are prepared in a dedicated kitchen under the watchful eye of the assistant superintendent and are subject to inspection by a medical officer or deputy superintendent before being served, The Express Tribune newspaper reported.
A team of over six doctors from Holy Family Hospital is stationed to provide medical care to the former prime minister, with additional specialist teams conducting regular check-ups.
Khan occupies two of the seven special cells available, while the remaining five are kept closed for security reasons. Typically, 35 prisoners are accommodated in these cells.
Access to Khan's cell is tightly restricted, requiring permission for entry, and professionally trained personnel are assigned to ensure the security of his ward.
While Adiala Jail typically assigns one personnel for every ten prisoners, Khan's security detail comprises 15 personnel, including two security officers and three dedicated to his personal security.
Moreover, a designated area within the jail premises is allocated for Imran Khan's recreational walks, equipped with exercise machines and other amenities.
Strict regulations are enforced for visitors, and comprehensive security protocols are implemented during court proceedings.
The report reveals the collaborative efforts of jail police, Rangers, and district police in ensuring the security of Adiala Jail, including regular search operations and mock drills.
Additional police forces, Rangers, and elite personnel are deployed both within and around Adiala Jail to maintain a secure environment for Imran Khan and all inmates.

Pakistan's jailed former prime minister Imran Khan on Tuesday said his wife and former first lady Bushra Bibi was poisoned while incarcerated at his private residence here which was turned into a sub-jail, emphasising that the army chief should be held responsible if she is harmed.
The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader during the hearing of the 190 million pound Toshakhana corruption case in Adiala jail informed Judge Nasir Javed Rana that there had been an attempt to poison the former first lady and added that she had marks on her skin and tongue as a side effect of the "poisoning".
&ldquo;I know who is behind it," The Express Tribune newspaper quoted the 71-year-old PTI founder as saying.
Khan said that if any harm came to Bushra, the Pakistan Army chief (General Asim Munir) should be held responsible as members of an intelligence agency were controlling everything at his Bani Gala residence in Islamabad and Adiala jail in Rawalpindi.
Khan further urged the court to order 49-year-old Bushra's medical examination by Dr. Asim of Shaukat Khanum Hospital, adding that he and the party did not trust the doctor who examined her earlier.
He also urged to have an inquiry into the matter of Bushra&rsquo;s alleged poisoning.
Following the former premier&rsquo;s request, the court directed Khan to submit a detailed application about the former first lady's medical examination.
Talking to the media after the hearing, Bushra said rumours regarding her being an "American agent" were circulating in the party and that she was poisoned through a popular toilet cleaner.
She said "three drops" of a popular toilet cleaner were added to her food, claiming that a person's health deteriorates after a month of consumption.
"My eyes swell up, I feel pain and discomfort in my chest and stomach and food and water also taste bitter. Some suspicious substance was mixed in honey earlier and now the toilet cleaner was mixed in my food," claimed the former first lady.
"I was told by someone in jail about what was added to my food. I will not reveal any names," she said.
Bushra informed the court that she had been kept decently at the Bani Gala sub-jail but added that she was not allowed to open the windows for a while.
Earlier, PTI claimed Bushra was fed "poisonous food" during her incarceration, asserting that she had been in severe pain.
A PTI spokesperson expressing concerns regarding "serious threats" to Bushra Bibi's life while in detention said in a statement: "Bushra's health and life are being seriously endangered by the denial of her constitutional right to medical examination."The spokesperson further alleged that Bushra Bibi's family had been barred from visiting her, a move they deemed to be a violation of both the Constitution and jail regulations.
The statement asserted the restriction was part of a "deliberate plan" to cause harm to her.
Earlier in January, Khan and Bushra Bibi were sentenced to 14 years of jail in the Toshakhana corruption case about the illegal sale of state gifts which the former premier received during his term.
Toshakhana is a department under the cabinet division in Pakistan that stores gifts and other valuables received by officials. The officials must report all the gifts they receive to the department.
Khan was lodged in Adiala Jail in Rawalpindi while Bushra Bibi was incarcerated at Khan's Bani Gala home after it was declared a sub-jail.
On Bushra Bibi&rsquo;s conviction, Khan&rsquo;s PTI party had said that she had no link to the case and her conviction was only an effort to further pressurise the former prime minister.
Meanwhile, the Chairman of PTI, Barrister Gohar Khan said the former First Lady of Pakistan, Bushra Bibi, is being politically victimised.
"She is being kept in isolation, there are serious concerns of her being poisoned. Chairman Imran Khan has expressed similar concerns regarding his wife&rsquo;s health. The powerful circles of the country will be held accountable for any misadventure," the party quoted him as saying in a post on X.
Since his removal from power in a no-confidence motion in April 2022, the cricketer-turned-politician has been convicted in at least four cases, including the cipher case.&nbsp;

Reversing its earlier decision, jailed former prime minister Imran Khan's beleaguered Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf on Monday said that the party-backed 92 independent candidates, who won the February 8 elections, will join the rightwing Sunni Ittehad Council.
The party had earlier decided that its members elected to the National Assembly and the Punjab provincial assembly would join Majlis Wahdat-i-Muslimeen (MWM), a Shia party. Those elected in the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (KP) would become part of Jamaati-e-Islami (JI), which is a hardline Sunni religious party.
The Sunni Ittehad Council (SIC) is an alliance of Islamic political and religious parties in the Muslim-majority country which represents followers of the school of Sunni Islam.
"Our candidates in the National Assembly, Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa assemblies will join the Sunni Ittehad Council," Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman Barrister Gohar Khan said while addressing a press conference along with leaders of the MWM and SIC.
"Our candidates have submitted their affidavits with us and with their consent today we are announcing that PTI-supported independents are joining the Sunni Ittehad Council,&rdquo; he said.
Khan's party, which could not directly take part in elections due to the non-allotment of the electoral symbol - cricket bat, wants its share of reserved seats for women and minorities by using the platform of other like-minded parties.
The winning independent candidates had to join a party within 3 days after the notification of the results of the February 8 elections.
Gohar also said the PTI made a "formal agreement" with the Sunni Ittehad Council and the same would be submitted to the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) with a request to allocate the reserved seats according to the party strength and under law.
"Therefore, to protect our reserved seats and provide the cover to our members, we have reached a formal agreement under which all our candidates have joined the party and we will present this documentation before the ECP,&rdquo; he said.
PTI's candidate for the prime minister's post, Omer Ayub Khan, said on the occasion that the decision to join a political party was taken to get the reserved seats.
"This is because the quota of reserved seats lies with political parties. Coming together with the Sunni Ittehad Council would increase the PTI&rsquo;s strength in the National Assembly,&rdquo; he said, adding the party would form a government in the centre and two provinces.
He said the priority of the party was to secure the release of incarcerated leaders like Imran Khan, his wife Bushra Bibi, Shah Mahmood Qureshi, Parvez Elahi and others.
SIC chief Raza and MWM leader Abbas in their remarks pledged support to the PTI.
With the PTI's decision to join a party, which is registered with the ECP, the country moved a step forward to the convening of the National Assembly or the lower house, for its maiden session which should be held by February 29.
Though independent candidates backed by the party won the maximum number of seats in Parliament, the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PMLN) and the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) - have announced that they will form a coalition government after the elections resulted in a hung Parliament.
The post-poll alliance by the PML-N and the PPP could mean that PTI will not be able to form the next federal government, prompting Khan's party to allege that the two rival parties were trying to steal the people's mandate with the help of the powerful establishment.
Khan's beleaguered party received a major boost on Saturday when a senior government official in charge of the election process in the garrison city of Rawalpindi alleged that rigging took place and dragged the Chief Election Commissioner and the Chief Justice into it.
Buoyed by the allegations of vote rigging, the PTI on Sunday demanded a judicial probe into the manipulation of the results of the elections.
Independent candidates - a majority backed by former prime minister Imran Khan's PTI party won 93 National Assembly seats in the election.
The PML-N won 75 seats while the PPP came third with 54 seats. The Muttahida Qaumi Movement Pakistan (MQM-P) has also agreed to support them with their 17 seats.
To form a government, a party must win 133 seats out of 265 contested seats in the 266-member Nationa&ldquo;Our first task will be to ensure the release of PTI founder Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi [after forming the government].&rdquo; SIC chief Sahibzada Hamid Raza told the media that the decision to forge an alliance with the PTI has been taken with the permission of incarcerated former prime minister Imran Khan.

Recalling the no-confidence motion against the PTI founder, Rehman said: "The PPP was moving the no-confidence motion against the PTI. Gen Bajwa and Faiz Hameed were in touch with us at the time of no-confidence motion." "Gen Bajwa, Faiz Hameed asked all parties to do this (bringing a vote of no-confidence motion),&rdquo; he claimed.
The channel reported on its website that Rahman told the host in response to a question: "Someone should stand up to the establishment and say it is doing wrong".
"The protest will continue until things are settled, as the establishment has nothing to do with politics. As a result of this protest, there will be a revolution," Rehman maintained.
Rehman said, "The state institutions are respectable, but why come into politics?" "If the establishment thinks that the elections were transparent, then the narrative in line with the May 9 mayhem is buried," Rehman added.
Speaking about talks with the PTI, Rehman said: "There is a difference of mind with the PTI that can be resolved." He also criticised the PML-N for announcing its plan to form a coalition government with the help of other parties, including the Pakistan Peoples Party.
&ldquo;The present parliament has no future, as the decisions and policies in the parliament will come from somewhere else," he said.
Rehaman had traditionally been close to the establishment but has become weary after suffering a devastating defeat in the elections.
His opponents allege that being a seasoned politician, Rehman may be in search of some role in the future government by attacking the Army.
On February 10, 2022, Pakistan's then-Prime Minister Imran Khan was ousted from power after losing a no-confidence vote in his leadership.
The vote was held after opposition parties brought a motion against him, following days of high drama.
The vote took place after the country's Supreme Court ruled in favour of opposition parties and said that 71-year-old Khan had acted unconstitutionally.
The vote made Khan the first Pakistani prime minister to be ousted by a no-confidence motion, with opposition parties securing 174 votes in the 342-member house in support of the no-confidence motion.

Imran Khan's Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf party will not join hands with rival PML-N or the PPP to form a coalition government and would sit in the opposition despite having a majority in the newly elected Parliament, party leader Barrister Gohar Ali Khan has said.
Independent candidates, mostly affiliated with Khan's PTI, secured the most parliamentary seats in last week&rsquo;s general election. However, PTI does not have enough seats in the 266-member National Assembly to form a government on its own.
&ldquo;We don&rsquo;t feel comfortable with both (Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz and Pakistan Peoples Party) of them. There will be no talks with anyone to make a government or to make a government together with them. It is better to sit in the opposition than to make a government [with them], but we think we have the majority,&rdquo; Gohar Khan told Dawn News.
The Election Commission of Pakistan has announced that independent candidates, a majority of them supported by the PTI secured 101 seats, followed by Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) with 75 seats, Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) getting 54 seats, and Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) bagging 17 seats.
Other parties got 17 seats while the result of one constituency was withheld.
Though the PTI initially claimed to form the government but its chances looked grim from the beginning as at least 169 seats, in the house of 336, were needed to form the government.
A total of 266 seats are directly contested while 60 women-reserved seats and 10 minority seats are allocated based on proportional representation to the winning parties.
As PTI was not allowed to contest as a single party with a common symbol, it was not qualified to get the reserved seats.
The party hence decided to sit on the opposition benches, leaving the field open for PML-N and PPP as well as others to form a coalition, Gohar said, adding that the PTI would form a strong opposition.

Jailed former premier Imran Khan's party-backed independent candidates seemed to have sprung a surprise as the results of the general elections in Pakistan started trickling in on Friday following unusual delays, leading to allegations of rigging.
Votes are being counted in Pakistan after Thursday's general election which was marred by allegations of rigging, sporadic violence and a countrywide mobile phone shutdown.
Pakistan authorities were moving at a snail's pace on Friday to announce the election results that in a surprising development showed disqualified and jailed ex-Prime Minister Khan's Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf supported independent candidates leading the show.
Khan, 71, a cricketer-turned-politician and the founding chairman of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), is behind bars and barred from contesting.
PTI candidates are running as independents after they were not allowed to use the party symbol - a cricket bat.
The polling ended at 5 pm on Thursday but the first official result was announced 10 hours later at 3 am on Friday, irking many about the delay and giving fuel to the rumour mills to indulge speculation of foul play to manipulate the outcome.
The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) so far officially uploaded only four results of the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (KP) assembly, which all were won by the PTI-backed independents. The commission has not uploaded even a single result of the National Assembly (NA) or other provinces.
However, private media channels showed that PTI-backed candidates were in the lead.
According to the Express Tribune newspaper, PTI-Independents have won six NA seats, followed by the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) with four and the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) with three.
However, BBC Urdu in its results showed that PTI-Independent and PML-N won four seats each and PPP three.
Dawn newspaper put PML-N in the lead with four wins, followed by PTI-Ind with three and PPP 2 seats.
The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) has acknowledged a "huge" voter turnout in favour of its arch-rival PTI, however, it remains hopeful that its supremo Nawaz Sharif will get a record fourth term as the country's prime minister.
Sharif was the favourite to win the election as he was being backed by the powerful Army.
In total 266 National Assembly seats were up for grabs in Thursday's election out of 336, but polling was postponed on at least one seat after a candidate was killed in a gun attack in Bajaur.
Another 60 seats are reserved for women and 10 for minorities and are allotted to the winning parties based on proportional representation.
A party must win 133 seats out of 265 being contested to form the next government.

Imran's wife Bushra Khan was accused of not completing the waiting period mandated by Islam, called "Iddat", after divorcing her previous husband and marrying Imran Khan. The complaint was filed by Bibi's ex-husband, who said her marriage with Khan had been fraudulent.
Khan married Bushra in a secret ceremony in January 2018, seven months before the cricketer-turned-politician became the prime minister of Pakistan.
Bibi, a spiritual healer believed to be in her 40s and always seen in a veil in public, is Khan's third wife.
Saturday's ruling also comes ahead of the all-important general elections scheduled to be held on February 8 this year, which Imran Khan is barred from contesting.

A leader of Imran Khan's Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf party contesting the February 8 elections was shot dead while three of his supporters were injured after unknown gunmen indiscriminately fired at his poll campaign rally on Wednesday in the country's restive northwestern region, officials said.
Rehan Zaib Khan, who was contesting from the Bajaur constituency for a seat in the National Assembly as an independent candidate following a recent court order that banned the PTI from contesting election, was shot dead while three of his supporters were injured when they were holding their poll campaign rally in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa's Siddiq Abad Phatak Bazar Main Chowk area.
"PTI leader from NA-8 Bajaur, Rehan Zeb Khan, was shot dead by unidentified assailants. Three of his supporters were also injured. The incident happened during Khan's election campaign," said a senior official.
Khan was an active member of PTI but was contesting the election as an independent candidate after the court order banned the PTI from contesting elections.
The police team rushed to the site and sealed the entire area to arrest the perpetrators of the attack.
Khan's death came a day after at least four people were killed while five more were injured on Tuesday in a bomb blast near the rally of PTI in Pakistan&rsquo;s southwestern province of Balochistan.
The explosion occurred on the Jinnah Road of Sibbi city when the PTI rally was moving on the road.&nbsp;
