The case is being investigated as a murder-suicide, San Mateo Police said.

An Indian-origin family, including their 4-year-old twin boys, has been found dead at their home in California with the police investigating the case as a murder-suicide, the second such incident in less than two months that has shocked the community in the US.
The victims, hailing from Kerala, have been identified by the friends as Anand Sujith Henry, his wife Alice Priyanka, and their 4-year-old twin boys, NBC Bay Area reported. However police have not released the victims' identities.
On Monday, Police said a 911 call spurred a welfare check at the San Mateo home after someone reported they hadn't heard from the residents for some time. They arrived and checked the exits of the home and found no signs of forced entry.
"Unfortunately, we located four deceased people inside the home. One adult male, one adult female and two children," said Jerami Surratt, public information officer with the San Mateo Police Department.
The case is being investigated as a murder-suicide, police said on Tuesday.
According to court records, the husband filed for divorce in December 2016 but apparently did not go through with it.
Sources with direct knowledge of the investigation said police believe the boys were smothered, strangled, or given a lethal overdose because there was no sign of trauma on their bodies.
The man and woman were found inside a bathroom, according to police. They both had gunshot wounds. A 9-millimeter pistol and a loaded magazine were found in the bathroom.
The deaths appear to be an isolated incident, and there is no danger to the public, police said.
"We are confident the person responsible was located within the home," police said in a statement.
"This is not a normal call for anyone. It's tragic for the family, the community, the officers..," said Surratt.
At the State of the City address on Monday night, San Mateo Mayor Lisa Diaz Nash held a moment of silence for the four people found dead in the home.

Rao, who is now 102, will receive the prize, which comes with a USD 80,000 award, this July at the biennial International Statistical Institute World Statistics Congress in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada.
In his remarkable 1945 paper published in the Bulletin of the Calcutta Mathematical Society, Rao demonstrated three fundamental results that paved the way for the modern field of statistics and provided statistical tools heavily used in science today, the Foundation said in a statement on April 1.

Lokesh Tantuwaya, a neurosurgeon, reportedly admitted to taking around $3.3 million in bribes from Michael Drobot, the owner of the Pacific Hospital in Long Beach.
Drobot allegedly paid bribes to doctors, chiropractors, and marketers for referral of thousands of patients to Pacific Hospital for surgeries and other medical services. The hospital was paid for the medical procedures through the California workers’ compensation system.
Tantuwaya said that he knew the receipt of money was illegal, and that he owed a fiduciary duty to his patients to not take money in exchange for referring them to Pacific Hospital.
So far, 23 defendants have been convicted for participating in the kickback scheme.

Indian-origin US Congressman Raja Krishnamoorthi has won the Democratic primary from Illinois with a decisive mandate, successfully overcoming a highly communal campaign run by his opponent Junaid Ahmed.
Krishnamoorthi, 48, who is very popular in the eighth Congressional District of Illinois, defeated Ahmed with over 71 per cent of the votes.
"I am honoured that the Democratic primary voters in Illinois' eighth Congressional District voted in an overwhelming and decisive fashion in support of my re-election campaign for Congress," Krishnamoorthi said.
"My constituents want peace, progress and prosperity. In Congress, I have for the middle class, for women's reproductive rights, and against inflation and increasing gas prices. I will continue to work tirelessly to address these issues in the important months ahead," he said.
He has been serving as the US representative for Illinois’s 8th congressional district since 2017.
Krishnamoorthi's parents are from Tamil Nadu.
The three-term Congressman, who was born in New Delhi, faces Republican Chris Dargis in the November 8 general elections.
"We now turn our attention to November, where our fundamental freedom and human rights are on the ballot," Krishnamoorthi added.

A 14-year-old Indian-American girl has won a USD 25,000 young scientist challenge for a discovery that could provide a potential treatment for Covid-19.
Anika Chebrolu, an eighth-grader from Texas, won the 3M Young Scientist Challenge,&nbsp;for her work on finding a molecule that can selectively bind to the spike protein of SARS-CoV-2 virus in an attempt to find a cure for the same, according to the 3M Challenge website.
Chebrolu was one of the 10 finalists in this year&rsquo;s 3M Young Scientist Challenge. In addition to the prize money, she was also awarded an exclusive 3M Mentorship.

Washington, PTI: Highlighting the great relationship that he has developed with Indian Americans and Prime Minister Narendra Modi, US President Donald Trump said that he would think that Indian Americans will vote for him in the November 3 presidential election.
"We have great support from India. We have great support from Prime Minister Modi. I would think that the Indian (American) people would be voting for Trump," the president told reporters at a White House news conference.
Trump was responding to a question on a video titled, "Four more years" released by the Trump Campaign during the Republican National Convention last month. Tweeted by Kimberly Guilfoyle, national chair of Trump Victory Finance Committee and retweeted by his son Donald Trump Jr, the video conceptualised by Al Mason, co-chair of the Trump Victory Indian American Finance Committee, has short clips from the Modi-Trump joint address in Houston last year and Ahmedabad in February this year.
"Would Kimberly, Don Jr, and Ivanka Trump, who are very popular among Indian Americans, would be campaigning on your behalf among the Indian Americans with your views on India-US relationship?" he was asked.
"I know India and I understood those young people (Kimberley, Donald J Trump Jr and Ivanka) that you mentioned. They're very good young people. And I know their relationship with India is very good and so is mine," Trump said.
The president said that he has a very good relationship with PM Modi.
"Prime Minister Modi is a friend of mine and he's doing a very good job. Nothing easy, but he's done a very good job," he said as he recollected his historic address at the 'Howdy Mody' event in Houston last September.
"We had an event in Houston, as you know. And it was a fantastic event. I was invited by Prime Minister Modi and this was a massive (event)... And it was incredible. And the prime minister could not have been more generous. We have great support from India. We have great support from Prime Minister Modi," Trump said.
The president then referred to his India visit early this year in February before the coronavirus pandemic hit the two countries.
"I also, as you know, went to India just prior to the pandemic setting in because India has been hit very hard, left really about a week before that, and we had an incredible time. What we saw the people are so incredible it's really an incredible place, an incredible country and its definitely big," he said.
"But you've got a great leader and he''s a great person," Trump said.
In recent weeks both the Democrats and Republicans have intensified their outreach to the Indian American community, in particular in the battle ground states.
