Farhan Akhtar&rsquo;s &lsquo;Jee Le Zaraa&rsquo; starring Priyanka Chopra, Katrina Kaif and Alia Bhatt was announced in 2021 and since then the film has been delayed due to date issue. But now a report says that it is because PeeCee didn&rsquo;t like the script. &nbsp;
According to a Hindustan Times report, a source has revealed &ldquo;The truth is that Priyanka Chopra did not like the script and said to no it. She was supposed to come to India for sister Parineeti Chopra&rsquo;s wedding and at the same time sign the film&rsquo;s contract. But things could not be taken ahead because there were creative differences.&rdquo;&nbsp;
According to the source, the film has now gone on halt. "When a film fails to happen as per the initial plan, it takes time for the director and also to envisage a new way and decide whether he or she wants to take forward that story or not. Any which way it's a dated story now as it's already been delayed too much. It might take another two years for the film to go on floor. The makers need to ensure that the story remains relevant for that time," shares the source, adding that directors and writers like "Zoya and Farhan look into all these details."&nbsp;

The Writers Guild of America strike began on May 2, 2023, against the current economics and pay structure of the television and movie industry.&nbsp;

Director Reema Kagti has put an end to all the rumours surrounding her and Zoya Akhtar&rsquo;s forthcoming film &lsquo;Jee Le Zaraa&rsquo;. She confirmed that the film will go on floors with the same cast.
&lsquo;Jee Le Zaraa&rsquo;, directed by Farhan Akhtar, is a female-oriented road trip film that will star Priyanka Chopra, Alia Bhatt, and Katrina Kaif in the lead roles.
&lsquo;It has been a busy time at (production banner) Tiger Baby. We are also doing some documentary stuff. We are hoping &lsquo;Kho Gaye Hum Kahan&rsquo; will come out soon. There&rsquo;s also a film that Zoya is doing. &lsquo;Supermen of Malegaon&rsquo; is a film for Amazon. &lsquo;Jee Le Zara&rsquo; will go on floors with the same cast,&rsquo; Reema told PTI.
Earlier, there were rumours that Priyanka had quit &lsquo;Jee Le Zaraa&rsquo; as the film was delayed.
A source told Hindustan Times, &lsquo;Priyanka was not able to commit the dates to shoot in 2023 due to her Hollywood commitments and she asked Farhan if they could shoot for Jee Le Zaraa next year. While Farhan was fine with it, Alia Bhatt is already committed to shooting for Ramayana and Baiju Bawra in 2024, so it didn&rsquo;t work out. It&rsquo;s true and a very unfortunate development that PC will no longer be able to do the film, but there&rsquo;s no bad blood between her and the team.&rsquo;
&lsquo;No one has kept it on the back-burner. As far as Priyanka&rsquo;s replacement is concerned, there is no name in the mind, and the makers will now start looking for options,&rsquo; added the source.
&lsquo;Jee Le Zaraa&rsquo; has been one of the most-awaited films ever since Farhan made the announcement in 2021. He shared a motion poster of the film and wrote, &lsquo;Did someone say road trip? Now, Zoya Akhtar, co-writer of the movie, has reportedly dismissed these rumours.&nbsp;
According to the India Today report, Zoya said that they are waiting for the dates of the actors.
Zoya hasn't clarified whether the film will be made with the same cast, or whether Priyanka has walked out of the project.
'Jee Le Zaraa' will star Alia Bhatt, Priyanka Chopra, and Katrina Kaif in the lead roles. It will mark Farhan's return to the director's chair after the 2011 film 'Don 2'.
Farhan may also direct 'Don 3', the third instalment in his popular action thriller franchise. Shah Rukh Khan played the titular character in the first two parts, but he has reportedly opted out of the third installment. Ranveer Singh seems to be the frontliner to lead 'Don 3' as of now.
'Farhan Akhtar is completely cooperating with the leads and not pressuring anybody. A call on the prospects of Jee Le Zara will be taken once all three leads have a common date of the shoot. There could be some changes in the casting as well,' a source was quoted as saying.

Priyanka said that before pitching the film's idea to Farhan Akhtar she had a long telephonic chat with her friends Alia and Katrina. 'I was sitting at home and I wanted to do a Hindi movie. But I wanted it to be on the terms of women', she shared.

'My generation actresses really really opened doors for next generation of actresses to be the faces on the posters, to be able to sell movies. Ayan Mukerji's directorial has kept fans hooked for quite a while, and now the sci-fi trilogy is all set for a September 9 release this year. The film boasts of a cast including actors Alia Bhatt, Amitabh Bachchan and Ranbir Kapoor, making it one of the most anticipated Bollywood films of 2022. Apart from the trio, the film also features South superstar Nagarjuna, veteran actress Dimple Kapadia and Mouni Roy in pivotal roles. 
Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani
After winning fans' hearts in the 2019 film 'Gully Boy', Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh have reunited once again for a love story titled 'Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani'. Directed by Karan Johar, the film will see Alia reportedly play the role of a middle-class girl while Ranveer will play a boy from a wealthy family. The story may sound familiar that of a rich boy falling in love with a girl from a modest background but fans expect Karan Johar to have some twist up his sleeve this time. 'Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani' also stars Dharmendra, Jaya Bachchan and Shabana Azmi in pivotal roles. The multi-starrer will release in theatres on February 10, 2023.
Jee Le Zaraa
Alia Bhatt will soon go on a road trip with actors Katrina Kaif and Priyanka Chopra in Farhan Akhtar's directorial 'Jee Le Zaraa'. Written by Zoya Akhtar and Reema Kagti, the film is an attempt to flip the coin, as three women friends take an epic road trip, 'Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara' style!. The film will reportedly star the director himself and Vicky Kaushal in the male lead roles. 'Jee Le Zaraa' is expected to hit theatres in the second half of 2023.
Darlings
Actor Alia Bhatt has turned producer with her upcoming film 'Darlings', produced by her banner Eternal Sunshine Productions. The film is touted to be a dark comedy, starring Alia Bhatt and Shefali Shah in lead roles. Set in Mumbai against the backdrop of a conservative lower-middle-class neighbourhood, 'Darlings' traces the unique story of a quirky mother-daughter duo navigating through crazy circumstances as they try to find their place in the world. 'Darlings' will be co-produced by Shah Rukh Khan's Red Chillies Entertainment.
