K-pop soloist Jessi has been in the middle of a massive controversy. The singer has been receiving a lot of criticism and hate on social media after an alleged acquaintance of hers assaulted a young fan. &nbsp;
The K-pop star is also receiving death threats since the controversy broke out. Jessi has broken her silence and has responded to her haters on social media.Taking to Instagram, Jessi shared a screenshot of a hateful comment and wrote &lsquo;Please stop&rsquo;. &nbsp;
The controversy blew out of proportion as the fan who approached her for a selfie was attacked by a person and made a police complaint. Jessi claimed that she doesn&rsquo;t know the assaulter personally and met him that day for the first time, her haters are slamming her for being a bystander to the assault. &nbsp;
Jessi&rsquo;s fans and other K-pop fandoms have come out in support of the singer against online harassment and hate messages. They are calling out the toxic anti-fans for their shocking treatment of K-pop idols. Apart from Jessi, BTS rapper Suga, former RIIZE member Seunghan and actor Byeon Woo Seok have recently faced severe online harassment over controversies. &nbsp;

Korean-American soloist Jessica Ho, more popularly known as Jessi, is known for being her unfiltered self. Unlike most K-pop idols, she does not believe in maintaining that well-curated squeaky image and accepts her flaws wholeheartedly. The singer, on numerous occasions, has been praised for breaking brutal Korean beauty standards and openly talking about plastic surgeries. Recently, Jessi made the shocking confession that her first surgical procedure was done without her knowledge. Jessi&rsquo;s personal story is featured in the new Apple TV+ documentary K-Pop Idols, alongside K-Pop groups BLACKSWAN and CRAVITY.
In the documentary, Jessi revealed that she was initially forced by her agency to get plastic surgery which ended up triggering several insecurities within her about her appearance. &ldquo;The first time I got surgery, the nose job that I got, I tweaked it. But once they did that, I started seeing all the flaws in my face. And that&rsquo;s when I start tweaking sh*t. So, before that, I wasn&rsquo;t insecure. I started getting insecure after I got surgery, and that&rsquo;s when I got out of control,&rdquo; said Jessi.
The singer also confessed to overdoing cosmetic procedures to enhance her look and boost her confidence. She said, &ldquo;First time I had the lip injections, I liked it. It was, like, a good size. And then I started overdoing it." However, Jessi admitted that she realised she had messed up when she started receiving criticism and hate for her changed looks. She mentioned that after people noticed her &ldquo;botchy&rdquo; appearance, she dissolved her lip fillers.&nbsp;
Despite the results of her surgical procedures, the 'Zoom' rapper ain&rsquo;t against plastic surgery. However, she just wishes that people make decisions for themselves instead of rather than someone forcing them. Highlighting the importance of self-control, Jessi added, &ldquo;I believe enhancing yourself is fine. When you wanna do it, and someone&rsquo;s forcing you to do it, it&rsquo;s completely different. You have to know your limit, you know? And it&rsquo;s really hard, to be honest, because once you start getting procedures done, little by little, you just keep finding flaws in yourself, and it&rsquo;s really hard to control.&rdquo;
