The 2024 MTV Europe Music Awards nominations are here, and K-pop fans have a lot to look forward to. From BTS members to the girl groups, a lot of fan-favourite artists have made it to the nominations. &nbsp;
BLACKPINK&rsquo;s Lisa is the most nominated artists. She has received nods in 4 categories, followed by LE SSERAFIM in 3 categories. &nbsp;
Jimin, Jungkook, NewJeans and Stray Kids have also received one nomination each and are competing with each other in the Best K-pop category. &nbsp;
Besides the K-pop artists, Taylor Swift is leading with the most nominations. The TTPD songstress has bagged seven nods. The MTV EMAs ceremony will take place on November 10 in Manchester, UK. &nbsp;

The feud between BTS parent label HYBE and its subsidiary company ADOR has reached court. HYBE chairman Bang Si Hyuk made his first statement amid the ongoing tussle during a court hearing.&nbsp;

While the controversy has been going around for a while, this is the first time that the HYBE chairman has spoken out against ADOR CEO Min Hee Jin. The man behind the boyband BTS, called Hee Jin a malicious individual. The HYBE founder said, &ldquo;I understand that some view Min Hee-jin&rsquo;s actions as highlighting the problems of a multilabel system. However, no matter how sophisticated the system is or how thorough the contracts are, nothing can completely deter human malice. The actions of one malicious individual should not be allowed to damage the system that may have been built over a long time. I believe that this is the strength of our social system, which prevents personal malice and wrongdoing from destroying social institutions and order.&rdquo;&nbsp;
<h2>Bang Si Hyuk Vs Min Hee Jin&nbsp;</h2>
This statement comes after Hee Jin filed a case to prevent HYBE from using voting rights at ADOR&rsquo;s upcoming shareholder meeting. HYBE holds 80 per cent shares in ADOR while Min Hee Jin holds around 18 per cent shares. She will likely be removed at the meeting if HYBE exercises its voting rights. In his petition, Bang Si-Hyuk has requested the court to favour HYBE. &nbsp;
<h2>ADOR CEO&rsquo;s fresh allegation against HYBE&nbsp;</h2>
Meanwhile ADOR CEO accused HYBE of requesting advance purchase of NewJeans album to surpass aespa&rsquo;s records. During the hearing, Hee Jin&rsquo;s representative revealed an email by Hee Jin mentioning HYBE&rsquo;s suggestion to beat aespa&rsquo;s first-week sales record. This has led to backlash against HYBE, specially from the aespa fans.&nbsp;

Brave Entertainment has unveiled a new girl group after a 13-year-long hiatus. The four-member rookie band named 'Candy Shop' is all set to enter the sparkling world of K-pop. After announcing it on December 2, 2023, the agency has finally shared more details about the brand-new group.
<h3>Brave Entertainment back in the game</h3>
The upcoming girl group will mark Brave Entertainment's comeback to K-pop after 13 years since Brave Girls, whose original lineup debuted in 2011. &ldquo;Please look forward to a talented girl group that has both mainstream appeal and musicality,&rdquo; said the agency. &ldquo;On top of Brave Brothers&rsquo; unique trendy music, we have added Brave Entertainment&rsquo;s distinguished artist production.&rdquo;
<h3>More about Candy Shop&nbsp;</h3>
On February 12, Brave Entertainment released a short dance video titled 'Candy Shop &ndash; Dance Performance #1' to introduce the upcoming 4th generation group. The clip shows the quartet putting their exceptional dancing skills on display.&nbsp;
Taking to their social media handle, Brave Entertainment wrote, &ldquo;Candy Shop is a four-member new girl group presented by Brave Entertainment about 13 years after Brave Girls. Starting with Brave Brothers, who have led the success of many girl groups such as Brown Eyed Girls, After School, Sistar, and AOA, the producers of Brave have added all their efforts to announce the birth of a new girl group with both charm and skills.&rdquo;
Explaining the meaning behind Candy Shop, they wrote, &ldquo;Candy Shop is a compound word of &lsquo;CAtch N Draw Youth&rsquo;, which means &lsquo;Let&rsquo;s catch and draw youth&rsquo;, and &lsquo;Shop&rsquo;, which symbolizes a space that connects members and listeners. The members, who have a variety of charms like tens of thousands of types of candy, show music that represents their generation and contain the aspiration to be reborn as &lsquo;MZ icons.&rsquo;&rdquo;
Candy Shop is expected to debut in the first half of 2024. Brave Entertainment has yet to announce its schedule.&nbsp;

(When the biggest K-Pop sensation will get a wild card entry, the situation inside the house will change.)&rdquo; In the clip Aoora is heard saying, "Janam se videsi, but dil se ekdum desi (Born in a foreign land but heart is Indian)." &nbsp; Known for his popular tracks 69 (2013), Morning, Lunch and Dinner and Coffee (2016) and Black Sugar (2022), Aoora debuted on September 4, 2009, with the song Love Back. He was a member of the boy group Double-A and its subunit Aoora&amp;Hoik. In September 2022, his rendition of Swag Se Swagat received a million views. The singer also recently collaborated with singer Honey Singh. Sharing a video of the duo singing, Aoora wrote, "Music has no boundaries. South Korean news agency Yonhap reported that Choi Sung Bong posted a message on his YouTube channel before his death. Investigation into the matter is underway.
Choi Sung Bong had been making headlines for controversy involving his health.
He claimed that he was battling cancer.
In 2021, he even started a fundraising campaign saying he needed money for treatment.
After it was revealed, it was a hoax, the singer also confessed his wrongdoings and promised to return the donations he received.
A media outlet said police believe that the singer killed himself, considering the situation at his home and a note he uploaded to his YouTube channel the day. The note read, &lsquo;I sincerely apologize to all who suffered from my foolish mistake.&rsquo; The note added that all donations were returned.
Choi Sung Bong reportedly came from an underprivileged background.
He was forced to drop out of music school as he lacked the funds to pay his fees.
He went on to become a labourer and landed his big break in 2011 after participating in &lsquo;Korea&rsquo;s Got Talent&rsquo;.
Choi impressed the judges by singing Ennio Morricone&rsquo;s &lsquo;Nella Fantasia&rsquo;.
He also impressed several stars in the world including Justin Bieber.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Justin said at the time, &lsquo;This is awesome. Never say never, and good luck to this kid. Great story.&rsquo;

Michelle has received immense appreciation from critics and fans for her performance as Evelyn Wang in 'Everything Everywhere All at Once' (2022).
This announcement was followed by the magazine&rsquo;s recognition of K-pop group BLACKPINK as the Entertainer Of The Year.

Kris Wu, popular Canadian pop star and former member of K-pop group EXO, has been sentenced to 13 years in jail by a Beijing court after he was found guilty of crimes including rape.
As per the investigation, he allegedly raped three women from November to December 2020. He was also found guilty of the crime of assembling a crowd to engage in sexual promiscuity. The 32-year-old singer was arrested last year after being accused of date-rape by a student. Later, 24 more victims spoke out against him. The court said that he would be deported back to his country, but deportations in China usually take place after the convicts have served their prison term.
Chaoyang district court in Beijing stated that Wu would serve 11 years and six months in jail for raping three women at his home in 2020 'when they were drunk and did not know or not able to resist'. The court added that he'll have to serve an additional one year and 10 months prison term for 'gathering people to commit adultery'.
Du Meizhu, a student, was the first person who accused Kris Wu. She had posted on social media that she had met Mr Wu two years earlier, when she was 17. She later added that she was invited to a party held at his home, she was later pressured to drink alcohol and woke up in his bed the next day.
Mr Wu denied all the claims and allegations, but later on at least 24 more victims accused him of predatory behaviour. The singer has also been fined with a total amount of 600m yuan (&pound;69m) as stated by State news agency Xinhua for making false declarations about his worldwide income.
He has been a member of the K-pop boyband EXO in the 2010 and later became one of China's biggest celebrities after carving a solo career as a singer, actor, model and variety show judge.

The track released in September this year, and almost became a chartbuster overnight.
BTS and Coldplay will now team up once again to perform their hit song live at the upcoming American Music Awards 2021.
Sharing the news, BTS wrote, "We're bringing "My Universe" to the @AMAs with our friends @coldplay!"

Fans can't keep calm post the news. BTS is up for artist of the year at American Music Award this year.
The band has earlier won six AMAs in total. Also, the band has performed twice at the award show in the last few years. In 2017, they sang and danced to their song DNA. In 2020, the band closed the show by performing Dynamite and Life Goes On from Korea.
'The Universe' will mark Coldplay's first song at AMAs since 2015. They sang Adventure Of A Lifetime six years ago at the award show.

Members of K-Pop group&nbsp;BTS are&nbsp;soon&nbsp;going to be multimillionaires as&nbsp;their&nbsp;label, BigHit Entertainment is all set to go public with IPO.&nbsp;
Their label, BigHit Entertainment's Initial Public Offering could raise up to $811 million.
Reportedly,&nbsp;BigHit CEO and largest shareholder Bang Si-hyuk last month gave&nbsp;68,385 shares to each of the seven members of the Korean group to strengthen their long-term partnership.
