The Kathmandu-to-Pokhara Yeti Airlines flight crashed on 15 January 2023 while attempting to land.

The devastating plane crash in Nepal which killed over 65 people was apparently caught on camera by one of the passengers.
An unverified video doing the rounds on social media shows a passenger recording the view outside his window before showing the interior of the plane. Just then, people start screaming, and a few seconds later, a major fire covers the camera's view.
The Kathmandu-to-Pokhara Yeti Airlines flight crashed on 15 January 2023 while attempting to land.
It was carrying 68 passengers including 15 foreign nationals, as well as four crew members, Nepal's Civil Aviation Authority said in a statement. The foreigners included five Indians, four Russians, two South Koreans, and one each from Ireland, Australia, Argentina and France.
Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal, who rushed to Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu after the crash, set up a panel to investigate the accident.
&rdquo;The incident was tragic. The full force of the Nepali army, police has been deployed for rescue," he said.

Former Nepal cricket team captain Sandeep Lamichhane was taken into custody as soon as arrived at the Tribhuwan International Airport in Kathmandu on Thursday.
Lamichhane, who became the first Nepalese cricketer to play in the IPL in 2018, was accused of raping a minor in Kathmandu. The 22-year-old was playing in the Carribean Premier League at the time and returned to the country to face the charges levelled at him.
Lamichhane had shared a post on Facebook a few hours ago, where he said that he will seek legal support against wrongful prosecution and allegation made against him.
'I will fully cooperate in all stages of investigation and will fight legal battle to prove my innocence,' he added.

Amid a rise in Cholera cases, the Lalitpur Metropolitan City of Kathmandu Valley has banned the sale of Pani Puri.  The authorities have said that the water carrying the cholera bacteria was being used in Pani Puri.  The metropolis has made internal preparations to stop the sale of Pani Puri in the crowded areas and in the corridor area, stating that there is an increased risk of spreading cholera in the Valley.  With seven more people testing positive for Cholera in the Kathmandu Valley, the total number of cholera patients has reached 12. The infected are currently undergoing treatment at Sukraraj Tropical and Infectious Diseases Hospital at Teku.   Meanwhile, the Ministry of Health and Population has urged people to visit their nearest health facility immediately if they experience any symptoms of cholera.

The Pashupatinath temple in Kathmandu owns 276 kg of gold and 1.3 billion rupees in cash, according to official reports. This is the first time in history that a committee formed by the Nepal government has made the temple's assets public. Pashupatinath is one of the four most important sites for devotees of Lord Shiva in Asia.
