The dera chief of the Nanakmatta Sahib Gurdwara in Uttarakhand was shot dead by two bike-borne assailants on Thursday.

The dera chief of the Nanakmatta Sahib Gurdwara in Uttarakhand was shot dead within the premises of the shrine by two bike-borne assailants early Thursday, police said.
Baba Tarsem Singh was rushed to a hospital in Khatima where he died during treatment, Udham Singh Nagar SSP Manju Nath told reporters.
The Nanakmatta Sahib Gurdwara is a revered Sikh shrine located on the Rudrapur-Tanakpur route in Udham Singh Nagar district of the state.

2 gangsters killed in fight between inmates in Punjab's Goindwal Sahib jail: cops

Two gangsters lodged in Goindwal Sahib Central Jail in Punjab's Tarn Taran district were killed in a fight among inmates on Sunday, police said.
Both were connected with singer Sidhu Moosewala's killing last year, they said.
They were facing other cases as well, Senior Superintendent of Police Gurmeet Singh Chauhan said.

One inmate was injured in the fight, he said.
"All three belonged to the same group," Chauhan added.

The police have registered a case and issued a lookout notice for the accused.

A 65-year-old man got killed for allegedly calling a neighbour's pet dogs 'dogs' during a fight, according to the India Today report.
The elderly man, identified as Rayappan whose neighbours were also his relatives Daniel and Vincent had pointed out the canine's aggressive behaviour towards people passing by. However, Daniel and Vincent paid no heed to the complaints.
On January 19, Rayappan reportedly took a stick in a bid to attack the barking dogs during a quarrel with his relatives. This is when Rayappan was pushed by Daniel and Vincent. Rayappan fell unconscious and died.
The police have registered a case and issued a lookout notice for the accused.

 Indian-origin nurse, 2 kids found dead in UK; murder investigation launched

The woman, identified as a 40-year-old Malayali nurse from Kottayam, and her six-year-old son and four-year-old daughter died after being discovered in their home in the town of Kettering

An Indian-origin woman and her two young children were found with serious injuries at their home in the Northampton region of eastern England.&nbsp;
Police officers were called to the residential property on Thursday morning and said that despite their best efforts and that of the paramedics, the woman died at the scene and the two children later died in the hospital.
The local police say they have launched a murder investigation.&nbsp;
The woman has been identified as a 40-year-old Malayali nurse from Kottayam with a six-year-old son and four-year-old daughter
A 52-year-old man, believed to be the woman's husband, has been arrested on suspicion of murder in connection with the incident and remains in police custody. Northamptonshire Police said officers are not seeking anyone else in relation to the &ldquo;desperately sad&rdquo; case.

&ldquo;There are no words to describe how upsetting this incident is, but I want to reassure the public that we have a team of detectives working on the case, absolutely determined to get justice for this woman and the two children,&rdquo; said Superintendent Steve Freeman, Local Policing Area Commander for Northamptonshire Police.
&ldquo;We understand that the local community, and indeed many people across the country, will be shocked by this event. It is a desperately sad incident and I want to be absolutely clear on our unwavering commitment in establishing what has happened here and in seeking justice for this woman and these young children,&rdquo; he said.
He said the man they arrested is being questioned by detectives in custody and asked for anyone with any information to contact them.
Forensic post-mortem examinations to establish the cause of death will be taking place in the coming days after which the names of the victims will be formally released.
Locally, tributes have started pouring in for the nurse, who worked at Kettering General Hospital, and her children. Her husband reportedly worked at a hotel and the family is believed to have been in the UK for around a year or so.
&ldquo;All of us in Kettering find ourselves shocked by the news of the tragic deaths of three members of our community,&rdquo; said Councillor Keli Watts, Mayor of Kettering.
&ldquo;We all send our love and support to the friends and family of the victims and also to neighbours at Petherton Court. We all stand ready to support those affected,&rdquo; she said.
&ldquo;This is a tragic case and my thoughts are with the loved-ones of the victims at this time,&rdquo; added Councillor Jason Smithers, leader of local North Northants Council.&nbsp;

According to the police several arms and ammunition including Two AK-47 rifles, two pistols, and four hand grenades were recovered from the possession of the terrorists
The identity of killed terrorists is yet to be acertained. 
Around 10 days ago, too, 2 terrorists were nuetralized by the cops after an encounter in the Nowgam area of Srinagar district, following a 'specific input' generated by Kashmir Police.
