The Korean wave has seemed to hit the editors of the Oxford English Dictionary, who have added 26 Korean words to its latest edition.&nbsp;

From sumptuous Korean food to the sensational&nbsp;BTS&nbsp;to famous drama series like Squid Game, the Korean creative wave, also known as Hallyu&nbsp;has affected people the world over in some way or another.&nbsp;
Now the same wave has seemed to hit the editors of the Oxford English Dictionary, who have added 26 Korean words to its latest edition.&nbsp;
Some of the words out of the 26 that have been included are:
Skinship: The word, Skinship&nbsp;captures the emotions and bond between two people.&nbsp;
Hallyu: The word, Hallyu&nbsp;indicates the increasing interest in South Korea and its culture represented through music, film and television.&nbsp;
Mukbang: The word, Mukbang&nbsp;refers to a video of a person eating lots of food while interacting with the audience.&nbsp;
Aegyo: The word, Aegyo&nbsp;refers to behaviour that is seemingly cute and adorable.&nbsp;
Hanbok: The word, Hanbok&nbsp;is the traditional Korean dress consisting of a long-sleeved jacket and a long high-waisted&nbsp;skirt for women&nbsp;and loose trousers for men.&nbsp;
The addition of Korean words into the Oxford English Dictionary marks the shift in the language used by English speakers. It also marks the ever-growing&nbsp;popularity of Korean culture the world over.&nbsp;

On these shows, hopeful individuals go through training and a series so tests to see if they have what it takes to debut in a K-Pop group or as a soloist.
 
YG Treasure Box was a survival show that debuted in 2019 and was created by YG Entertainment. The trainees were split into different groups, each member with their own skillset, from rapping and dancing to singing. As elimination went on, one trainee was picked from each category. South Korean entertainment agency CJ ENM&nbsp;has confirmed its interest in acquiring iconic K-pop agency SM Entertainment on Thursday.
SM, a part of the Big 3 of Kpop, has been looking for buyers for several months now. Specifically&nbsp;to buy out founder Lee Sooman's shares of SM entertainment.&nbsp;
According to sources, CJ ENM&nbsp;calculated the stake, nearly 19%,&nbsp;at somewhere around 4 trillion won or $33 million. CJ ENM&nbsp;is a conglomerate that owns major TV networks in South Korea including Mnet, tvN and OCN.
SM Entertainment said it was in talks with various companies for a partial stake sale. Kakao has also been mentioned as another candidate to take over SM Entertainment.&nbsp;
The stake sale also puts into question Lee Sooman's&nbsp;future in the SM entertainment. Lee founded SM in 1989 and has helped create internationally renowned groups like EXO, SuperM&nbsp;and has recently debuted a girlgroup&nbsp;incorporated with AI called Aespa.&nbsp;

Just days before the finale of girl group show 'Girls Planet 999', Mnet has revealed the current Top 9 ranking and 'shocking' doesn't do the reaction justice.
On October 15, 'Girls Planet 999' held its semi-final round, which saw just 18 contestants survive to the finale. The episode also brought with it a new Top 9 ranking: Shen Xiaoting in 1st place, Kim Dayeon in 2nd place, Sakamoto Mashiro in 3rd place.
Just three Korean contestants had made it to the Top 9, with the remaining split being two trainees from C-Group and four from J-Group. Shockingly, this turns the previous ranking&rsquo;s group split on its head, with a staggering eight out of nine Top 9 contestants being Korean trainees.&nbsp;
Unsurprisingly, across social media, numerous viewers were shocked to see the rankings change so significantly. While some of these changes can be accounted for by the new voting system, many fans also think that viewer voting tactics could be having an effect.

According to the revelation, the relationship between Actor K and the alleged ex-girlfriend took a wild turn when she got pregnant. While the alleged ex-girlfriend&rsquo;s doctor suggested she should keep the baby because the abortion would complicate her future pregnancies, Actor K supposedly convinced her to get rid of the baby.&nbsp;
