Caught on cam: man hits woman, forces her to sit in cab in Delhi's Mangolpuri area

Taking cognizance of the video the Delhi police launched a probe in the incident. So far the vehicle and the driver have been traced.

In a shocking incident, a man assaulted a woman and forced her to sit in a cab in North West Delhi's Mangolpuri area while another man accompanying him watched.
A video apparently shot by a bystander has now gone viral on social media. The video shows man holding woman by her hair, punching her and then shoving her in the cab. Both men then get inside the cab and drive away.&nbsp;
Taking cognizance of the video the Delhi police launched a probe in the incident. So far the vehicle and the driver have been traced.
The police further added that the cab was booked by 2 boys and a girl via Uber. And an alercation brokeout between the girl and the boy leading to the dramatic incident.&nbsp;

A 58-year-old Indian-origin man who had been missing since last year has been found dead in an isolated woodland in the West Midlands region of England.
Harjinder &lsquo;Harry&rsquo; Takhar, a father of four, went missing in October and a body discovered recently in Telford was identified as him earlier this week, after formal identification by the local West Mercia Police.
The police said Takhar&rsquo;s family had been informed and his death was not being treated as suspicious.
&ldquo;This is a sad outcome to what has been a challenging and emotional search, but I&rsquo;m pleased that Harry&rsquo;s family now have some closure,&rdquo; Detective Inspector Jo Whitehead, who led the enquiries into the disappearance.
&ldquo;I&rsquo;d like to thank the public for their incredible response to our appeals to locate Harry and all the information that they provided to us during our enquiries. Harry&rsquo;s family have asked me to express their sincere thanks for the support they have received from the community since Harry&rsquo;s disappearance, and have asked that their privacy is respected at this distressing time,&rdquo; he said.
According to local media reports, the disappearance was described as &ldquo;completely out of character&rdquo; by Takhar&rsquo;s family and mobilised the local community in the search. West Mercia Police issued several appeals over the months since Takhar's went missing.
A Facebook group was launched and attracted over 8,000 members with messages of support flooding in from friends and strangers. A social media campaign was also launched using the hashtag #HelpHarryHome.
&ldquo;He was a family man, who was a very jolly character and full of energy and life,&rdquo; wife Ran told &lsquo;Birmingham Live&rsquo;.
Takhar disappeared in the Stirchley Pools area of Telford in Shropshire.

A 65-year-old man got killed for allegedly calling a neighbour's pet dogs 'dogs' during a fight, according to the India Today report.
The elderly man, identified as Rayappan whose neighbours were also his relatives Daniel and Vincent had pointed out the canine's aggressive behaviour towards people passing by. However, Daniel and Vincent paid no heed to the complaints.
On January 19, Rayappan reportedly took a stick in a bid to attack the barking dogs during a quarrel with his relatives. This is when Rayappan was pushed by Daniel and Vincent. Rayappan fell unconscious and died.
The police have registered a case and issued a lookout notice for the accused.

After being acquitted of gang rape charges, a man from Madhya Pradesh's Ratlam has sought compensation of more than Rs 10,000 crore from the state government citing "suffering and mental agony" caused to him as his incarceration sent his family to the brink of starvation.
Of the Rs 10,006.02 crore compensation, the man has sought Rs 2 lakh towards the "loss of God's gift to humans e.g. sexual pleasure", as per his petition.
Kantu, alias Kantilal Bheel (35), moved the district and sessions court after a local court on October 20, 2022, dropped the gang rape charges, said his lawyer Vijay Singh Yadav. His case against the MP government and the investigators will be heard on January 10.
Asked about the whopping recompense, Yadav said Rs 10,000 crore has been sought on the grounds that "human life is precious", while the remaining Rs 6.02 crore is for various reasons, including legal expenses of Rs 2 lakh, mental agony and suffering by his family.

In his petition, Bheel said he was the sole breadwinner for his family when the police arrested him in the gang rape case on December 23, 2020. Yadav said Bheel supported his ageing mother, wife and their three children.
Yadav said his client has sought Rs 10,006.02 crore citing suffering and mental agony to him and his family due to the fake charges of gang rape. In his absence, Bheel's family was on the verge of starvation, he said.
According to Yadav, a woman filed a complaint on July 20, 2018, against Bheel at Manasa police station, accusing him of raping her on the pretext of dropping her at her brother&rsquo;s home.
She alleged Bheel handed her over to another person who she claimed raped her for six months before allowing her to go, said the lawyer.
The complaint led to Bheel's arrest and incarceration for nearly two years.

A 19-year-old woman has accused her neighbour in east Delhi&rsquo;s Pandav Nagar of threatening her with "acid attack" if she did not marry him, police said on Wednesday.
The police said the matter came to light on Sunday after the victim filed a complaint.
The victim alleged that Yagvender Yadav Yadav (27), who runs a grocery shop with his father in the area, had threatened her that he will throw acid on her if she does not marry him, they said.
The accused and the victim are known to each other, police said.
A case was registered against the accused under sections 341 (wrongful restraint) and 506 (criminal intimidation) of the Indian Penal Code, Deputy Commissioner of Police (East) Amrutha Guguloth said.
Subsequently, after the victim&rsquo;s statement was recorded by the magistrate, sections 354B (assault or use of criminal force to woman with intent to disrobe) and 354D (stalking) were added to the FIR, the DCP said.
Efforts are on to nab Yadav, she said.

In December last year, two motorcycle-borne masked men flung acid on a 17-year-old girl who was attacked minutes after she left her west Delhi home for school.
As outrage spread over the acid attack, women's groups and others, including Lt Governor V K Saxena, raised questions on the availability of acid in markets despite a ban and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal asked how the accused could have gathered so much courage.
The attack took place at Mohan Garden near Uttam Nagar and the girl suffered eight per cent facial burns. Later, the same evening, three men including the victim's neighbour were arrested in connection with the incident.
The main accused had procured the acid through Flipkart following which police sent a notice to the e-commerce platform in this regard.
The girl had been a friend of the main accused for a long time but they had a breakup two-three months ago and she stopped talking to him. To take revenge, he planned the attack.&nbsp;

The dead body of a two-year-old child was found in the lake of Kendatti village of Kolar taluk on Saturday night. Besides, a blue-colored car was also found on the bank of the lake, the police added.
Suspicious of this, the locals informed the Kolar rural police station. After the investigation, the police arrested the accused for the murder of his daughter.
The accused has been identified as Rahul Parmar who belongs to Gujarat and got settled in Bengaluru with his wife Bhavya two years back.
Rahul informed the police that he hugged his daughter in the car and spent time with her, played with her then killed her as he did not have any money and was not able to feed her.
The accused and his daughter went missing on November 15, after which, the child's mother Bhavya filed a missing complaint with the police station.
According to the police, Parmar was unemployed for the last 6 months and incurred a financial loss in his Bitcoin business.
Parmar had also lodged a complaint with the Bengaluru police station about the theft of gold jewelry from his house. He used to go to the police station and inquire.
When the police investigated the complaint, it came to know that Rahul himself had stolen the jewels from the house and pledged. He registered a fake theft case with the police.
The police warned him and asked him to come to the police station. It is suspected that Rahul might have done something due to fear of facing the consequences of filing a fake case with the police.
Police are investigating the case.
