Manipur: Three members of banned militant groups arrested, weapons seized

Security operations in Manipur led to the capture of three individuals from banned groups, underscoring the region's efforts to secure peace and nurture its rich cultural heritage.

Three militants from banned groups KCP (PWG) and KYKL were arrested in Manipur&rsquo;s Thoubal and Imphal West districts. Security forces seized pistols, ammunition, and cash, continuing efforts to combat insurgency in the state.

&nbsp; Manipur: Three Members of Banned Militant Groups Arrested, Weapons Seized Security forces arrested three members of banned militant outfits in separate operations in Manipur&rsquo;s Thoubal and Imphal West districts, police said on Friday.
Two active cadres of the proscribed Kangleipak Communist Party (PWG) were apprehended on Thursday from Uningkhong in Thoubal. Pistols, ammunition, cash, and other items were recovered from their possession, police stated.
In a separate operation on Wednesday, a member of the outlawed Kanglei Yawol Kanna Lup (KYKL) was arrested from Langol Type III in Imphal West. The arrest was part of ongoing efforts to curb militant activities in the region, a senior police officer confirmed.
These operations highlight the continued vigilance of security forces in tackling insurgency and maintaining law and order in the state.
