The Hindu festival of Navratri&nbsp;begins from October 17 this year and the Mata Vaishno&nbsp;Devi&nbsp;shrive is ready to greet pilgrims with all Covid-19 health precautions. Temple authorities have made special arrangements for the safety of devotees. Covid-19 rapid antigen testing is being done for visitors and precautions like sanitising, social distancing and masks are mandatory.&nbsp;The per-day pilgrims limit has also been increased from 5 thousand to 7 thousand.
Pony, Pithu &amp; Palki services have resumed. Helicopter and battery car services are&nbsp;also operational. Devotees across&nbsp;India can now get their prasad&nbsp;from the Vaishno&nbsp;Devi&nbsp;shrine delivered via post.

Devotees all over India can now get their prasad delivered to their doorstep via post from the shrine of Mata Vaishno Devi in Jammu and Kashmir's Reasi district.
Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board (SMVDSB) has entered into an agreement with the department of posts for the initiative. It aims to help those devotees, for whom the yatra may not be possible because of the Covid-19 outbreak.
The prasad&nbsp;can be booked either through the board's official website or by calling on a telephone number. After staying closed for nearly five months, the shrine reopened on the 16th of August.
