The Allahabad High Court has allowed a survey of the Shahi Idgah premises next to the Sri Krishna Janmabhoomi temple in Mathura.

A survey of the Shahi Idgah premises next to the Krishna Janmabhoomi temple in Mathura will be conduted after the Allahabad High Court gave its nod.&nbsp;
The survey will be conducted by advocate commissioners.&nbsp;
The petition was filed by the deity (Bhagwan Sri Krishna Virajman) and seven others through advocates Hari Shankar Jain, Vishnu Shankar Jain, Prabhash Pandey and Devki Nandan, claiming that Lord Sri Krishna's birthplace lies beneath the mosque and that there are many signs which establish that the mosque was a Hindu temple.
According to advocate Vishnu Shankar Jain, in the application, it was submitted that there exists a lotus-shaped pillar which is characteristic of Hindu temples and an image of 'Sheshnaag', one of the Hindu deities who protected Lord Krishna on the night of his birth, is also present there.
It was also submitted that at the base of the pillar of the mosque, Hindu religious symbols and engravings were also visible.
The applicant has requested that a commission may be appointed with specific directions to submit its report after conducting a survey within some stipulated time period. A further direction was sought for photography and videography of the entire proceedings.
According to the plaintiffs' counsel, the factual aspects of the disputed structure have to be brought before the court for proper adjudication of the dispute as without the factual position of the disputed areas, the effective adjudication of the case is not possible.
The high court in May this year transferred to itself all the suits pending before the Mathura court praying for various reliefs pertaining to the Sri Krishna Janmabhoomi-Shahi Idgah mosque dispute.

A joint report in the Tuesday Mathura train incident, in which an electric multiple unit (EMU) train broke the buffer dead end and entered platform number 2, has found that the staffer was watching his mobile phone while handling the train and was mildly drunk, sources have said.
The report, according to the sources, while narrating the prima facie reason of the incident, said that according to the Crew Voice &amp; Video Recording System (CVVRS), after the train arrived at the platform, a staffer named Sachin entered the DTC cab (engine) while watching his mobile phone.
It said that while carelessly putting his bag on the throttle of the engine, he again got busy on his mobile.
The throttle, due to the pressure of the bag, went into forward position and let the EMU move towards the platform. "It broke the dead end of the platform and half of the coach climbed onto the elevated portion of platform number 2, leading to breakdown of OHE (overhead wire)." The report also said that a breathalyzer test conducted on Sachin showed a reading of 47 mg/100 ml which is considered to be mildly drunk.

Priests, traders, and local residents sent 108 letters apparently written with blood to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. Markets near the temple were closed for half-the-day on the third consecutive day. Protestors also burned copies of the project's proposed design.
Residents fear that they will become homeless, while traders feel they will lose their livelihoods because of the project.
Congress leader Pradeep Mathur said his party will not remain a mute spectator to the sufferings of people.
About 300 families will be made homeless and thousands of traders along with their employees will be jobless because of this project. This is not in the interest of the residents of Vrindavan, Mathur said.

In the latest development in the Shri Krishna Janmabhoomi-Shahi Idgah Mosque case, a Mathura court has ordered a survey of the disputed site.
The survey report of the Shahi Idgah mosque has to be submitted by January 20, 2023. While hearing the petition of Hindu Sena, the court of Civil Judge Senior Division (III) ordered 'Amin' to conduct a survey of the disputed site of the Shahi Idgah Mosque in Mathura. The court has fixed January 20 for the next hearing. On December 8, national president of Hindu Sena Vishnu Gupta and vice president Surjit Singh Yadav, residents of Delhi, had claimed in the court that the Idgah was constructed by then Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb by demolishing the temple on 13.37 acres of land of Lord Krishna's birthplace.

An Akhil Bharat Hindu Mahasabha leader was arrested on Tuesday while allegedly going to recite Hanuman Chalisa at the Shahi Masjid Idgah on the Shri Krishna Janmabhoomi complex, officials said.
They said seven-eight other leaders of the organisation were also detained in their houses under different police stations of the city.

Additional Superintendent of Police (City) Martandey Singh said the police arrested the Akhil Bharat Hindu Mahasabha's Agra region in-charge Saurabh Sharma when he was making an attempt to go towards the Idgah mosque on the complex.
He said the Mahasabha's president Rajshri Chaudhary and treasurer Dinesh Sharma were not among those confined at their homes, and that there was no information with the police about the two.
The Babri mosque in Ayodhya was demolished by 'Kar Sevaks' on December 6, 1992.
The ASP said security has been beefed up in view of the right wing organisation's declaration of reciting Hanuman Chalisa at the Idgah on Tuesday.
District Magistrate Pulkit Khare had taken stock of security arrangement in the Shri Krishna Janmabhoomi-Idgah complex Monday night.
Senior Superintendent of Police Shailesh Kumar Pandey said that law and order situation would not be allowed to be disturbed. A strict watch is also being kept on social media too, he said.
The SSP had said on Monday that no new tradition or ritual would be allowed to be performed.
The orders of the Supreme Court would be followed and the implementation of prohibitory orders under Section 144 of the CrPC in letter and spirit would be ensured, he said.
The organisation had given a similar call last year but their plan was scuttled by the district administration.

Police said that "no new tradition or ritual" would be allowed at the site. Around 1,500 police, armed constabulary and paramilitary force personnel were being deployed, and traffic restrictions enforced near the Shri Krishna Janmasthan temple and the Shahi Masjid Idgah to prevent tension.
Akhil Bharat Hindu Mahasabha national treasurer Dinesh Kaushik said they would go ahead with the programme.

The organisation had given a similar call last year but their plan was scuttled by the district administration.

Like cash ATMs, a slip mentioning the disease status of the patient will come out of the machine.

A 'health ATM' which can conduct a check-up for 23 diseases in just 15 minutes has been installed at the Mathura district hospital in Uttar Pradesh.
Doctors said that the health ATM can check the level of haemoglobin, blood sugar, blood pressure, the body temperature, obesity, oxygen saturation, body weight, body index among others. It can also conduct electrocardiogram (ECG).
Like ATMs, a slip mentioning the disease status of the patient will come out of the machine.
Chief Medical Superintendent (CMS) of the Mathura district hospital said that the machine will not only carry out core investigations but also pave the way for immediate treatment of patients. The machine will also save time taken to perform all the tests separately.
Such machines would be installed in every district hospital of Uttar Pradesh as well as at the block headquarters, officials said.

Two devotees were killed and seven others injured in a stampede-like situation at the famous Bankey Bihari temple in Uttar Pradesh's Mathura during Janmashtami celebrations in the early hours of Saturday, officials said.
"Prima facie, the cause of death is suffocation due to a heavy rush during the 'mangala aarti'," District Magistrate Navneet Singh Chahal said.
A 55-year-old woman from Noida and a 65-year-old devotee from Jabalpur died in the incident, a senior official said.
The administration has taken the incident seriously and Agra commissioner Amit Gupta is reaching Mathura to assess the reasons that led to it and provide guidance to the local administration, the official added.

Timely intervention and administration of first aid to the injured helped save many lives, he said.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath expressed grief over the loss of lives in the incident and directed officials to ensure that all necessary help is provided to the injured, according to an official statement issued in Lucknow.
He also directed the Home Department to ensure proper arrangements are made at religious places during festivals to prevent any untoward incidents, the statement said.&nbsp;
