<p>The highly-anticipated teaser trailer of 'Moana 2' has finally been unveiled by the makers. It sees Moana embarking on a journey to the distant seas of Oceania after receiving an unexpected call from her ancestors. Starring Auli&lsquo;i Cravalho and Dwayne Johnson as Moana and demigod Maui, respectively, the first part of the Disney film was released in 2016.</p>
<h3><strong>'Moana 2' teaser trailer out now!&nbsp;</strong></h3>
<p>'Moana 2' was announced in February, igniting a fan frenzy, and Disney has finally offered a glimpse into the upcoming adventure. The sequel will bring back Auli'i Cravalho and Dwayne Johnson as Moana and Maui, along with rooster Heihei and pet pig Pua will be back. The first footage teased by the makers sees Moana embarking on a dangerous journey in long-lost waters. She is also joined by Maui for the adventurous ride.&nbsp;</p>
<h3><strong>More about the project</strong></h3>
<p>It was originally planned as a TV show, but the Disney bosses later decided to turn the project into a movie.&nbsp;</p>
<p>Bob Iger, Walt Disney Company Chief Executive Officer, announced that 'Moana 2' is Disney Animation&rsquo;s all-new feature-length sequel to 2016&rsquo;s Oscar-nominated film, which will be released in November. &ldquo;Moana remains an incredibly popular franchise,&rdquo; said Iger, &ldquo;and we can&rsquo;t wait to give you more of Moana and Maui when &lsquo;Moana 2&rsquo; comes to theatres this November.&rdquo;</p>
<p>The film will arrive in US cinemas on November 27 and UK cinemas on November 29.</p>

<p>Disney has offered a first glimpse into the upcoming animated fantasy feature 'Moana 2'. Along with this, the makers have also confirmed Dwayne &ldquo;The Rock&rdquo; Johnson's return. In the first-look image, a slightly older version of the Disney character was seen flashing a tricky smile while she rode a raft with an oar in her hand.&nbsp;</p>
<h3><strong>Moanna 2: first glimpse!&nbsp;</strong></h3>
<p>The much-loved Disney character Moanna is returning. A first-look image from the upcoming animated fantasy feature was shared by Disney on Wednesday. The new look has now set anticipation soaring for the second installment, which will serve as a follow-up to the original film, 'Moana', which premiered in 2016.&nbsp;</p>
<p>The first still from the upcoming sequel to the animated film was unveiled as part of Disney's 2024 annual shareholders meeting. Earlier, the makers had planned on expanding the franchise as a TV series; however, Disney scrapped the plans and announced a second film instead in February this year.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Dave Derrick Jr. will direct 'Moana 2', while Mark Mancina, Emily Bear, Abigail Barlow, and Opetaia Foa'i will provide the music for the film. Both Cravalho and Johnson would reprise their roles in Moana 2. The movie's premiere is scheduled for November 27. &nbsp;The synopsis of the film read, &ldquo;Walt Disney Animation Studios&rsquo; epic animated musical Moana 2 takes audiences on an expansive new voyage with Moana, Maui, and a brand-new crew of unlikely seafarers.&rdquo;</p>
