Dharampal Pardi was shot in the foot after he objected to an alleged attempt to kidnap his sister.

A 25-year-old man belonging to the nomadic community Pardi died after he was shot for resisting a bid to allegedly kidnap his sister in Madhya Pradesh&rsquo;s Guna district, an official said.
The incident took place in the Dharnavada area, about 40 km from the district headquarters, police said.
Dharampal Pardi was shot in the foot by a person after he objected to an alleged attempt to kidnap his sister, said Sub-Inspector Rajendra Singh, the in-charge of Dharnavada police station.
A profusely bleeding Dharampal was rushed to a nearby hospital, which referred him to Bhopal for better medical care.
The victim died while being taken to the state capital, he said.
Police have registered a case of murder against seven to eight individuals and efforts are on to nab them, the official said, adding that the crime seems to be the fallout of an old enmity.&nbsp;

NDTV reported that in the Lok Sabha, more than 300 MPs are with the BJP or an allied party in the 543-member House. There are now about 100 opposition lawmakers left in the Lower House after the mass suspensions.&nbsp;

After Kamal bloom, Nath quits as MP Congress chief; Jitu Patwari takes over 

PTI reported quoting sources that the Congress chief Kharge had asked Kamal Nath to step down from the post of MP Congress president.&nbsp;

&nbsp;The Congress replaced Kamal Nath as the party's Madhya Pradesh unit chief on Saturday and appointed Jitu Patwari in his place.
The development comes days after the party's humiliating defeat in the Madhya Pradesh Assembly polls, where the Congress, led by Nath, failed to replace the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government.
Sources said Nath was asked to tender his resignation soon after the poll results were out.
Nath met party chief Mallikarjun Kharge and tendered his resignation thereafter.
"The Congress president has appointed Shri Jitu Patwari as the president of Madhya Pradesh Congress Committee, with immediate effect," an official communication from the party said.
"The party appreciates the contributions of outgoing PCC president, Shri Kamal Nath," it added.
"The Congress president has also approved the proposal of the appointment of Shri Umang Singhar as the CLP leader and Shri Hemant Katare as the deputy leader of Madhya Pradesh," the statement said.

He was accused of vandalism at a company in a Mall in 2012. He was found guilty under sections 147 (rioting) and 323 (voluntarily causing hurt) of the IPC.
Following the conviction, the former Union minister while speaking to ANI said, he appeared before the court normally and he respects the court order, however, he has the right to appeal and will exercise it.&nbsp;
Notably, with today's conviction, Katheria is likely to be disqualified from the Lok Sabha.&nbsp;
He served as the Union Minister of State, the Ministry of Human Resource Development from November 2014 to July 2016.

Chouhan said he was saddened by the incident, as he washed the feet of the youth, Dashmat Rawat, while sitting on the floor at the CM's residence in Bhopal.
He called the youth &ldquo;Sudama&rdquo; and said, "Dashmat, you are now my friend." Chouhan also discussed various issues with him on the occasion, especially to know whether the benefits of different welfare schemes were reaching him, an official said.
Earlier, the CM and the tribal man together planted a sapling at the Smart City Park here.
Police on Wednesday arrested Pravesh Shukla, who is accused of urinating on the tribal man in Sidhi district.
Action under the stringent National Security Act (NSA) was also initiated, an official earlier said.
A video of the incident went viral on social media platforms on Tuesday, following which the police registered a case against him.&nbsp;

The Congress and the ruling BJP in Madhya Pradesh sparred after a video purportedly showing saffron party leader and former minister Gaurishankar Bisen inappropriately touching minor girls at an event was tweeted by the Opposition party.
The Madhya Pradesh Congress posted the video on Thursday night on its official Twitter handle and slammed Bisen, a sitting MLA and also state Backward Classes Commission chairman, for his "shameful" act.
The Opposition party claimed the alleged incident took place at a programme in Balaghat district.
&ldquo;BJP MLA, former minister and Backward Classes Commission chairman, Gaurishankar Bisen, doing a shameful act with girls,&rdquo; the Congress said in a post in Hindi accompanying the video.
Strongly refuting the Congress allegation of inappropriate behaviour by the former minister, the BJP castigated the Opposition party for tweeting the video featuring minor girls and warned of legal action.
&ldquo;These girls are of his granddaughter's age and Bisen is publicly meeting them with affection," state BJP spokesman Narendra Singh Saluja said.
Madhya Pradesh Home Minister and government spokesperson Narottam Mishra, too, hit out at the Congress for its "despicable mentality".
&ldquo;It reflects the despicable mentality of the Congress. Just because of dirty politics, they have released a video that actually reflects his (Bisen) affection towards girls. It is shameful the way Congress has shown the video. We are legally examining the issue, especially of disclosing the identity of girls,&rdquo; Mishra told reporters.&nbsp;

Asked about the row, state home minister Narottam Mishra told reporters in Bhopal that the matter was first investigated by the district education officer. &ldquo;No complaint was received in this regard. In view of the seriousness of the issue, the superintendent of police has been instructed to thoroughly investigate it,&rdquo; he said.
Meanwhile, Hindu outfits staged a protest at the district collector&rsquo;s office and submitted a memorandum demanding cancellation of the school&rsquo;s registration. They alleged that the school is forcing Hindu girl students to wear a hijab.

The accident happened around 7 am when the women, who were cooks at an 'anganwadi kendra' were returning home after work, Gwalior SP Amit Sanghi said.
While eight women and the auto driver died on the spot, the others succumbed to their injuries in a hospital, he said.
